A varied and enjoyable day. The boat trip at the Falls was an amazing experience. We enjoyed the maple syrup tasting. And Niagra on the Lake was a highlight. What a beautiful town! Thank you to Roger for a well-structured and fun day!

When in operation, you will be guided to the Niagara Cruise for an unclose look at the Falls. you can spend some time exploring, taking photos, and even have a buffet lunch over looking the falls.
The Niagara City Boat Cruise offers an exhilarating experience as you get up close to the Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. Feel the mist on your face and hear the roar of the water as the boat brings you right to the base of the falls. With stunning views of the Niagara River and surrounding landscape, this cruise provides a thrilling, unforgettable perspective of one of the world’s most iconic natural wonders. (substituted with Journey Behind the Falls in the winter months).
Your visit to Niagara Falls wouldn’t be complete without a stop at Table Rock, one of the best spots to witness the awe-inspiring power of the Horseshoe Falls. Located just a few steps away from the edge of the falls, Table Rock offers an unparalleled vantage point that allows you to feel the true magnitude of the falls’ beauty. From here, you can enjoy breathtaking, close-up views of the thundering waters as they cascade over the cliff, creating a mist that rises high into the air. The Table Rock Welcome Centre offers several observation decks that provide the perfect opportunity for photos and to simply marvel at the natural wonder before you. The Horseshoe Falls, which is the largest of the three falls, is especially striking from this location, with its massive volume of water flowing into the Niagara River below.
As we drive past the Mackenzie Printery and Newspaper Museum, you’ll be seeing a significant piece of Canadian history. This museum, located in Queenston, celebrates the legacy of William Lyon Mackenzie, a key figure in the Rebellions of 1837 and the founder of Canada’s first newspaper, the Colonial Advocate. The Mackenzie Printery is housed in a historic building that once served as a printing press and office for Mackenzie’s newspaper. It is home to a remarkable collection of antique printing presses, newspapers, and historical documents, offering a unique glimpse into the early days of journalism and printing in Canada. Though we won’t be stopping, you’ll have the chance to admire this historical site, which plays an important role in telling the story of freedom of the press and the fight for democratic rights in early Canada.
Your unforgettable visit to Niagara Falls continues with a stop at the Whirlpool Rapids observation deck, where you’ll witness the Niagara River at its most intense. Watch as the water surges through the narrow gorge, creating powerful rapids and swirling currents that form one of the most impressive natural whirlpools in the world. This is a perfect photo stop and a chance to appreciate the incredible force of nature from a safe yet thrilling vantage point. Interpretive signs along the way provide fascinating insights into the geology and history of this dramatic site.
Experience one of Canada’s most iconic flavors with a complimentary maple syrup tasting at a charming local stop. Learn about the history and process of maple syrup production, from tapping the trees to bottling the liquid gold. Sample a variety of syrups and maple-infused treats, and discover the differences between light, amber, and dark grades. It's a sweet and interactive experience perfect for all ages—and a chance to bring home a delicious Canadian souvenir!
During your 1-hour free time in Niagara-on-the-Lake, you’ll experience the charm and beauty of one of Ontario’s most picturesque towns. Known for its historic significance, stunning 19th-century architecture, and quaint atmosphere, Niagara-on-the-Lake offers visitors a delightful escape. Take a leisurely stroll along the tree-lined streets, where you’ll pass well-preserved heritage buildings, boutique shops, and art galleries showcasing local talent. The town is famous for its Victorian-style architecture, and as you walk, you’ll be transported back in time, making it feel like a step into history. If you’re a wine enthusiast, this is also a great opportunity to explore the local vineyards and wineries. While your time may be short, you can pop into one of the wine-tasting rooms or browse the local wine shops for a bottle of Niagara’s finest wines.

Excellent trip to the falls and Niagara on the lake although I would have liked more time in Niagara on the lake as 1 hour was not enough time
very Nice trip. The guide was helpfull and kind
Our tour guide Salim was great! Entertaining and knowledgeable. We got to know people on our tour which the trip more fun. I don’t know how you can select your guide, but if you can you should schedule with “Salim the dream” as he called himself.
This thing should be called "Bus tour from Toronto", not "Boat tour from Toronto". False advertising! For the uninitiated, this is sheer deception. Also, this tour is for you if you are looking for something akin to a school excursion. Do this, don't do that, don't speak... you get the drill! I'm not someone to yell racism at every turn, but when the tour guide makes it a point to condescendingly ask you not to talk to each-other while the ones sitting further behind in the bus are clearly noisier, it makes you wonder.
This trip was a great value. Our tour guide Alex went out of the way to mitigate my wife's mobility issues, Our bus driver Hugo was the consulate professional and made us feel safe at all times. The maid of the Mist boat trip was excellent as was the included lunch at the Sheraton in Niagara Dalls. The additional stop at Niagara on the Lake was quaint and picturesque. An overall excellent choice for a tour from Toronto.
We had an amazing day touring the Niagra Falls and Lake with Louis, our tour guide and Harvey, our driver. We enjoyed everything!! Everyone was punctual and attentive. Loved the tour!
From A to Z, I liked everything! Boarding on time, the guide prompted in everything and accompanied. It was awesome on the boat at the bottom of the waterfall, unforgettable emotions! Lunch at the buffet was varied in choice and very tasty! The view from the 13th floor is awesome! You can take beautiful photos from above. The trip is very eventful, I am happy with everything 💯!
Great day to Niagara Falls and Niagara on the lake, a stunning and beautiful picturesque town. The falls were spectacular.
You are going to get wet , take an extra pair of socks. All is well planned, lunch was good and enough time to browse in Niagara on the lake.
Our guide Peter was awesome. Provided interesting history lessons during the drive. Everything for the falls boat ride was seamless. Nice amount of free time there and at Niagara on the Lake. Definitely recommend.
Best trip in Toronto! Louis was an excellent guide, Provide lots of information about Toronto and the entire Niagra Falls area. Each of the extra stops were enjoyable. Comfortable bus ride. Well worth the cost!
Our guide was friendly and very knowledgeable; we fully enjoyed the tour! The cruise into the falls was terrific and we loved Niagara-on-the-Lake—it’s a very beautiful town.
The pick-up was right on time. The tour guides were friendly and well-organized during the pick-up process. The ride was smooth both ways, although there was some traffic on the way home. Arriving at Niagara Falls was easy, and our passes were ready upon arrival. We had plenty of time to explore the falls. The maple syrup tasting was okay but nothing spectacular, so we could skip that next time. Niagara-on-the-Lake was a charming little town with shops and restaurants, but we only had an hour to explore it, which wasn't enough time. Overall, the experience was good, and we both enjoyed it..
It is highly recommended. I loved all places visited! The tourist guide provided good information and made the trip enjoyable!
Not a lot of time to spend at the falls, like an hour. Felt a little rushed to be honest. Travel guide was very nice though.
Fantastic tour which was excellent value for money. We packed so much into the day and the boat trip to the Niagara Falls was a once in a lifetime opportunity with spectacular views. The tour guide was really knowledgeable and had the right balance between providing useful information and quiet time to allow us to enjoy the scenery. Can't recommend this highly enough
This was a fantastic full day excursion to Niagra Falls. Our knowledgeable tour guide was able to provide an interesting commentary as we drove down on the coach, and she and our driver were very friendly and helpful. The boat trip was amazing even if we got quite wet! We enjoyed a terrific lunch at the Sheraton Hotel with panoramic views over the falls and surrounding area. Our trip included a visit to the picturesque town of Niagra, and a wine tasting experience at a local vineyard. This was a really great day out, extremely well organised, and excellent value for money.
Alex and Lisa made the day very memorable with their dedication and patience…despite the awful traffic
The whole trip was inspirational especially due to Alex the guide and Pete the driver who where excellent hosts. They where both very informative on all locations visited.
The tour was excellent! We had the opportunity to do and see a lot. Our tour guide Alex and our driver Ricardo were exceptional-very knowledgeable, shared funny stories and experiences and were super accommodating.
Our driver Peter was very informative, gave us just enough information but did not overload with nonsense talk. Thank you for the gift.
Our tour guide Alex and her driver Lisa were fantastic, so knowledgeable unbelievable they both deserve a pay rise we had a brilliant time, thank you all.
Very nice tour. The guide, Crystal, and the driver, Sam, did a fantastic job getting us there and leading our journey. Niagara Falls was amazing. Definitely take the boat ride! It’s incredible to get so close to the falls!!! Beware, you’ll get wet! The included lunch was very nice. The small town of Niagara on the lake is charming. Our final stop at the winery was much better than expected. We even purchased a few bottles of wine. Would highly recommend this tour from Toronto as an easy/great way to get to and from and to experience Niagara Falls.
It was totally worth it! I do not remember his name, but our guide was from Sr Lanka and he was so friendly and professional. He gave us a lot of information about all the places we went. I would highly recommend to do the tour, it worth every cent and you will have a great experience with them ☺️
Our tour guide Daniel was great. He made sure no one got left behind and was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour company.
The drive snd guide were great- we got lid of info along the way. Had enough time in the tour to lunch, shop, etc. a good tour!
We enjoyed Niagara on the Lake. Nice quaint town but not enough time to see shops and the restaurants. The tour guide was new so he did not know all his facts. The driver did an amazing job getting us around even with the traffic in Toronto
Everything worked perfectly. Daniel the guide was excellent and Hugo drove us safely. It was a relaxed way of experiencing Niagara and surrounding areas
Absolutely amazing! Roy was fantastic ! Drive was smooth with a lot of stories! He drove us around , showed us cool places , gave us time to enjoy and make all the pictures we wanted ! We are super happy with our trip ! We were a family of 4 with kids of 9 and 13 years old ! So the job was not easy ! Thank you so much
It was my 2nd time showing Niagara to friends/family so I knew what I was looking for and this tour exceeded my expectations! Here's why: - *FULL hour at Niagara-on-the-lake* which is enough time to walk the main street both sides, see the estuary and enjoy an icecream from local "Cows" shop. - *15-seats minibus* which will take you to smaller roads and across vinyards I don't remember visiting in the bigger bus from another operator -*Best guide ever* A wheel of interesting knowledge, super well-spoken and articulate if you are not an English native speaker, plus very funny jokes ;) -*Best lunch tip* from our guide was the "Secret Garden" dinner, just next to the boat experience and still affordable considering you eat with a view of the top of the American and Canadian falls. -*Wine testing* is at Niagara College so not a wide selection but definitely a great way to try ice wine if you never had it before. The only thing I would change would be to give a mini microphone to the guide so we can hear him better on the highway down to Niagara but I understand this allows people the option to listen or not. Arrive early if you want to listen to avoid having to sit at the back!
Great day trip, would highly recommend and our driver Peter was very informative, helpful and friendly
Great experience although we couldn't visit falls from a boat. However, we visit falls from behind and on the trip back, we did stop in a wine factory
Smooth ride, timely. All activities as described and great tour guide (Peter), allowed for some buffer time as well. Knowleadgable and friendly.
Michael our tour guide was absolutely amazing!!!! He was on time with everything and was so knowledgeable
I booked the tour mainly because it was the only operator which offered the one-hour Niagara-on-the-lake sightseeing. As per the tour details on Viator “Niagara-on-the-Lake - Enjoy free time for self exploration in the quaint town before heading for wine tasting- 1 hour”. As the tour only had 4 people, my mother, myself and a couple, but it seemed it mainly tailored mainly to the couple’s requirements - as it included a 15-min visit to a Hard Rock Cafe gift shop and a 45-50 minutes helicopter tour , which was not mentioned in any way in the tour itineraries. My poor 78-year old mother, who was unwell with a bad cough, had to wait at the helicopter takeoff field for those 45-50 minutes trying to cope with the huge noise from the frequent helicopter take-off and drop-off. We would have been fine with the temporarily added helicopter tour the couple took, but this was without our prior knowledge, and more importantly, we had only half an hour at the Niagara on the lake instead of 1-hour as advertised. This was truly disappointing as this was the highlight of the tour for us hence our reason of booking this tour.
Great trip. Trudy, the guide was friendly and informative. Mike the driver was great. VIP was a great company to travel with. Essential trip if you visit Toronto. Don't miss it!
I had a great day visiting Niagara Falls! Roy was a fantastic tour guide, he was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable about the area - he told us some great facts! The boat ride was a great experience, and it was also lovely to visit Niagara-on-the-Lake and grab a delicious pastry. I had a great day and really enjoyed my visit!
The beautiful Niagara falls. So amazing and powerful. Boat ride a must. Guide/driver Eli was good, very knowledgeable. Nice van.
Fantastic. Booked this at the last minute as my original tour was cancelled the night before. Gaurav was our guide, brilliant and very knowledgeable. Took time out to explain things to the group and also individually. He made sure I got my ticket for behind the Falls as the boat doesn’t go in March. Niagara-on-the-Lake was absolutely beautiful and we got time to go round all the attractions. Really enjoyed it and would recommend this tour.
The company I had booked with cancelled the night before and I booked this tour at the last minute. It was fantastic! Gaurav was our guide and he was brilliant. It was a small group which meant everybody got to hear him and he took time to explain things, even on a one to one. Gaurav made sure I got my ticket to go behind the Falls as the bot tour wasn’t on in March. We got time to explore and also seen the gem that it Niagara on the Lake. Beautiful. Would highly recommend this tour.
Our tour driver Roy was excellent, very informative and professional with a good sense of humour. Niagara on the lake was lovely and the falls lit up at night were beautiful.
Our tour to Niagara Falls was great. Our driver and tour guide, Peter, was very friendly and knowledgeable, and he stopped at several extra places to give us different experiences and photo opportunities. It was well organized, the van was comfortable, and we were very pleased. However, beware when booking a tour through Viator. We chose our tour based on the description in the Viator site, saying that the driver would pick us up at a hotel near ours at 9 am. When I booked the tour, there was a menu where you could choose your pick-up location. All was set, but the night before, we received an email from the tour company, VIP Tours, saying they would pick us up at a different location at 8:10 am! This would necessitate a cab fare both ways. We were understandably frustrated, and contacted VIP Tours, who said that they often have this trouble when people book through Viator. To their credit, VIP Tours went the extra mile, and picked us up at the original hotel we had arranged, and even dropped us off at our actual hotel. Thanks to VIP Tours, the day was great, but Viator caused us some grief.
Our guide, Bernard was excellent. We really enjoyed. He explained everything very thoroughly. We will do this trip with him again.
Can’t recommend more highly. A nice small group, with the fantastic Petar as our driver and tour guide. We firstly took in Niagara Falls, which are as magnificent as you would expect & the timing was such that there were no queues - always a bonus! Be prepared to get wet, it wouldn’t be as much fun if you don’t... Spot of lunch overlooking the falls, followed by a few other photo opportunities along the way to Niagara-On-The-Lake. This is a pretty little town, like something out of a movie. A few lovely shops to browse around and some delicious ice-cream. Then on to wine tasting at a local vineyard. Ice wine not to my taste, but still has to be done & you do get to try “normal” white & red too! Truly fabulous day - worth every penny. An amazing experience we wouldn’t have missed for the world.
Having lived in Toronto many years ago I wanted a great tour of Niagara Falls to give my husband a wonderful experience. Our hotel... Fairmont Royal York recommended VIP tours. Well it was fantastic from start to finish. We were greeted by Kevin our tour guide and were very fortunate to get front seats on the coach👍 Lisa our driver made me feel very relaxed as I am quite a nervous passenger! She was very friendly to all the passengers. Tour was great... beautiful views of the “Falls” Fun on the boat ride ... you will get wet .. but that’s ok when it’s hot. We had a window seat for lunch at the Sheraton hotel... spectacular x Thank you very much VIP tours. Loved every thing about the tour and would highly recommend. Kevin was great fun and very knowledgeable.. never a dull moment 😍
My husband and I wanted to see Niagara Falls while in Toronto, and at the suggestion of our hotel Concierge, booked with VIP Tours. They did not disappoint! Before I speak about the tour I want to say that Niagara Falls is well worth the short drive from Toronto and we didn't regret our visit for a moment. The falls were spectacular and the boat ride was a unique experience! Highly recommended! We chose to add the lunch with our tour and while the buffet was what you might expect from any other buffer, the view is the real selling point. We were up on a high floor of a hotel overlooking the falls. Breathtaking! We enjoyed shopping in Niagara-by-the-Lake as well as the visit to the winery. What really made the trip extra special was the staff. Our guide Kevin was knowledgeable, funny and went out of his way to take care of those on the tour. He noticed that I had started limping midway through the day (a previous knee injury... we're not as young as we think we are) and without prompting, asked if he could get me something cold to place on my knee when we returned to the bus which was greatly appreciated! He gave me a cold bottle of water that he wrapped-up for me to put on my knee. The woman across the aisle from me was travelling with children and the one had a nose bleed. She took her sons tissues after the nosebleed stopped and stuffed them into her backpack. Kevin the guide noticed and without being asked came by shortly afterward with a small plastic bag and asked if he could discard of the tissues for her. He genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everyone was well looked after. Elisa, the coach driver, was also friendly and manoeuvered that bus through traffic and downtown streets like it was nothing. My husband and I were both impressed! She always wished us welcome back when we got on the bus and was very friendly... not what we expected from a coach driver! The tour was great, the falls were spectacular and the staff were the cherry on top! We absolutely would recommend to anyone visiting the city and have a day to spare; the trip to Niagara is well worth it!
It was our 1st time to Toronto, Ontario Canada and our group was extremely excited about seeing Niagara Falls. We consulted the concierge at the Fairmont Royal York and they recommended VIP tours because they had a tour that with a maximum of 14 people on each tour which was perfect because we have an issue with claustrophobia. We paid over 580.00 for 4 of us. IT WAS A RIP OFF! We were met with a 50+ bus for our tour instead of a small vehicle for 14 people. The guide was called St Bernard. He was asked about the bus versus the smaller vehicle and his answer, rudely, was "he needs to get this bus loaded now" with no other explanation. We got on the bus thinking we'd be taken to a stop where we'd split up but that never happened. False advertising. This tour is one of many I've taken and the tour guide was horrible! Regardless of the false advertising, he was the worst in giving historical information and entertaining the group. He was asked 3 other times about the mix up but instead of an answer that explained the issue, he was rude, loud, and again no answers. The concierge at the hotel communicated with the company about the issue several times but the company was not willing to give us a full refund for false advertising. The only amount they were willing to give was 17.00 each and said it was the difference in price of the small tour. This was an insult because wanted the tour we paid for. We later learned, once you've gotten on the bus they will tell you that services have been rendered. Bottom line, beware of this company. ANY HOTEL USING THIS COMPANY SHOULD CONTRACT ANOTHER TOUR COMPANY! This ruined our reason for coming to Canada. Thanks to VIP ONTARIO TOURS.
Took the trip from Toronto to the falls, including the boat trip and lunch. Cannot praise Chrystal highly enough (and her trainee Kevin!). She was warm, engaging and very knowledgeable. The trip itself was very well organised in all respects and good value for money. The boat trip was great fun. The lunch had a really food choice (Chrystal ensures her group gets in before it’s too busy) and great view of the falls. So glad we took this tour, definitely the best, hassle free way to see the falls from Toronto.
The main problem was the mobile website purchase since it was not clear about what was included or not. I tought I was buying a complete experience (as it said at their confirmation page) and arriving in Niagara the driver said I got a basic experience ( no boat, no dinner)
