The tour was relaxed, interesting, and brought us to places we would not have known about otherwise! I brought a few clients with me (we were in town for a conference). We were full, informed, and delighted! Highly recommend.
We had a really great time on the tour. The food was delicious, we got to try a nice variety of things, and the whole tour was a lot of fun. Odile did an amazing job, which made the tour even better. Everything felt relaxed and enjoyable, and we had a great time from start to finish. Definitely recommend it!
We had a fantastic time on the Tasty Tours chocolate tour! It was fascinating to learn how cacao roasting impacts flavor and how to distinguish artisan specialty chocolate from standard store-bought bars. Delicious tastings and great insights!
Great experience sampling foods and learning about Toronto. Damien was an excellent tour guide.
Damien was very enthusiastic about sharing various food stops with us, and it was obvious he loves Toronto. In relation to other food tours we've experienced in other cities, this one was just average. Plenty of food, so we didn't leave hungry, and the portions were large/sufficient. However, only four stops were on the tour with lots of walking in between, and our preference (and past experiences) would be for smaller portions and a couple more stops (perhaps six instead of four). One of the best parts of the tour was taking the PATH on part of the walk between stops, but it would have been helpful to have a map to go with it (and to be honest, we didn't ask whether or not one even exists). Also on other tours, we've been offered the opportunity to purchase beverages (alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic) at one or more of the stops, and this didn't happen on this tour. Again, we didn't inquire about this option at the time, so perhaps it was a local law, but it was just something different from all prior experiences.
Turned out to be a private bc rest pf group canceled. Pros and cons to that but not tour guides fault. Nice selection of stops. Nice history. Tried Poutine for 1st time. Tasty 😋 Was upset that 1 stop where tradition has one eating with their hands there was no washroom or sink to wash hands. I forgot my hand sanitizer. Would have been nice if guide had provided hand sanitizer since no washroom was accessible.
It was a great food tour with a great guide. For the price though, I would have liked visit a couple more restaurants. I’ve been on many Food Tours and we’ve always had at least 5-6 different places. This one only has 4. But overall, it’s a very well ran tour.
Damian was extremely knowledgeable, food was delicious - highly recommend!
Perfect balance of food and sights. Portions were great and variation brilliant. Damian was super friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us lots of recommendations for the rest of our trip. Thank you
Phenomenal! Great food and great tour!
Damien was great and the food and info were a nice deep dive into downtown for us locals from the burbs to experience some new places.
Damien was our tour guide and he was amazing. It was a low key tour, no rushing, lots of information on buildings, areas, and food. It was exactly what we wanted. The 4 different food restaurants we stopped at were diverse, fun, and delicious. 5 stars to Damien. Thank you for a great afternoon. Jane Durbak
I’m a returning customer, having previously been on the Kensington Market tour, and I loved this one too. It featured a fantastic variety of cuisines, with stops at places I’d never visited before. I also really enjoyed learning about the history of the area along the way, while getting to know the other people on the tour, who were from all over the world. Damian is a brilliant tour guide, and I’d highly recommend this tour, Also - I have a dairy allergy, and they were brilliant at accommodating it. Every dish was still absolutely delicious, and I never felt like I was missing out.
Damian was a good tour guide interspersing Toronto history with 4 different food stops.
Over all, it was a great experience. We really recommend it! This is a must do tour! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of history! Damian was awesome!
Nothing better than tasting and touring the city with a local guide!! Damian was our fantastic guide who had so much knowledge about the city. The stops along the route were engaging and opened our eyes to the history and community in Toronto. Of course, our favorite part was all the yummy food. We started with a traditional Canadian dish, of course, and then ventured to local favorites that we would not have discovered on our own. The pace and length of the tour was perfect - it was engaging yet relaxed. The food tour is an exceptional introduction to the city!
The Must-Do food tour was a wonderful time. I got to try a bunch of different foods around the core of downtown between Thai, poutine, German sausages, and Indian food. It was a truly diverse food selection similar to that of the people of Toronto. Our guide Damian was able to point out some other fantastic places to try around downtown as well. I would suggest doing this tour to anyone who wants to try out different places while in downtown toronto as a fun afternoon event.
The Toronto food tour led by Damian was the perfect way to start our trip! There was a greats foundation of history and fun facts about the city throughout the tour that kept us engaged. The food stops are well curated and were truly hidden gems that we wouldn’t have known about. I appreciated the diverse flavors and cuisines that reflect the local favorites. Highly recommend a food tour to start off your trip!
This tour encompasses the tastes of three distinct restaurants that represent the cultural diversity of Toronto at its finest. The tour guide was very joyous and provided the group with not only the food stops but also gave very interesting history lessons of the landmarks Toronto has to offer. Would definitely recommend this tour for those that are visiting Toronto.
Damian was a fantastic and engaging guide. Very informative and delicious! Also very accommodating for gluten and other dietary issues.
Great experience with well explained tastings by Damien.
We joined a downtown walking tour with Tasty Tours Toronto that started at Nathan Phillips Square, and it was a great mix of food and local history. As we walked through downtown, our guide Damian shared interesting stories about nearby buildings and the city, which made the experience feel more meaningful than just a food tour. He was very friendly, informative, and kept the tour fun and engaging from start to finish. Along the way, we tried poutine from The Burger’s Priest, the famous Islamic noodles at Salad King, Indian street food at Chaska, and finished with sausages at Wvrst inside Union Station. The stops were well planned and the portions felt satisfying. Overall, it was a high-quality and entertaining tour, and a great way to explore downtown Toronto through its flavors.
Damian was a great tour guide! He gave a great tour around downtown Toronto and stopped at awesome food spots
Very fun experience and informative love it! Great chocolate as well
It was a good and informative experience !
So yummy, tour guide was very informative and the food was great!
I’ve done a lot of tours over the years and most are pretty similar, but this one was different. It didn’t feel touristy at all. The guide clearly knew the city and the people behind the places we visited. Kensington Market has lots of character, not the kind of place you really get without someone showing you around. We went to a bunch of small, independent spots I never would have found on my own, and it felt more like being shown around by a local than being on a tour. Nothing felt rushed and portion were solid. Overall a great time.
The chocolate taste experience is truly amazing. I never thought chocolate could have so many different taste, the whole experience is just like a high end wine tasting experience. Highly recommended !
We lucked out and got a private tour with Damian. Loved that the food stops were international and not all Canadian. Damian was also helpful in offering tips for things to do and places to go on our own after the tour.
Tasty Tours does such a great job introducing you to Toronto and including light bites that reflect the local community. It’s the best way to see the city while enjoying all the diverse food. Great value as you learn all about the city with your guide during this 3-hour tour. Highly recommend this food tour for your visit to Toronto!
