Luxury Small-group Niagara Falls Day Tour From Toronto With Hornblower Cruise

Myself and my family had an amazing experience with Truexperiences tours. George our guide was extremely knowledgeable, engaging and pleasant. The itinerary was extremely well communicated by George. The weather was amazing so we got to see the Falls on an amazing day. Niagara on the lake was another stop off on the Truexperiences tour which was an amazing town. Corks restaurant in the town of Niagara on the lake had amazing food, highly recommend. Our driver was great and got us back in time for dinner that evening. An amazing experience we will remember for a lifetime.

This was an incredible experience! The Mercedes sprinter van was pristine and the seats were comfortable and could be reclined. The travel to Niagara and NOTL were a breeze. Our tour guide, George informed us of the important things as we traveled to Niagara. We did not ride the Hornblower boat and enjoyed the walk along the esplanade and met the group after the boat. We then enjoyed the views of Table Rock and continued to NOTL. All in it was a great day with a safe driver Danny! Just book it!

We had a fabulous time with Danny (our driver) and Peter (our tour guide)! Danny knew all of the best ways to get around any traffic issues and was always right there to pick us up at the scheduled times. We felt safe leaving our belongings in the van since he stayed with it at all times. Peter knew so much interesting information about the area that we all learned a lot and the drive was much better as a result. He would show us pictures on his large screen tablet to supplement what he was talking about which we really enjoyed. Both Danny and Peter really love what they are doing and it makes the day so much fun. Peter provided us hot tips everywhere we stopped to make our time as enjoyable as possible. We wouldn't change a thing about this experience!

Enjoyed the day with Christina who made the trip quite enjoyable. Took the train from the airport to the Fairmont hotel downtown where we meet the van. The van showed up early, but we were waiting so it turned out fine. My only complaint would be we spent too much time at Niagara on the Lake (over an hour) and not enough time at the Falls (half hour).

Great for small groups. Peter was very knowledgeable and modified given our small group size to give us more sites. He gave great advice for the boat tour so as not to go soaked and get great photos and video. Loved Niagara-on-the-Lake and the food suggestions there.

An excellent day trip. Patrick, our guide and Michael, our driver were very organised and helpful. We were fortunate with the weather so the boat ride was the icing on the cake. It was also enjoyable to drive the Niagra area and visit the Niagra Village before returning to Toronto.

The tour to Niagara Falls with a tru experience company was flawless. They picked us up from our hotel on time actually a little earlier. We were picked up in a shuttle like van. There was 11 of us in our group which is just perfect size group instead of a big tour group. It was very personal. Our guide was Peter and our driver was Tiar. Tiar got us to and from safely and swiftly as he could. Peter was very funny and knowledgeable on everything Toronto and Niagara and more we went to Niagara on the lake, which is such a beautiful place. We were there for about an hour and a half always not enough time. He gave us recommendations of things to try and taste and stores to visit. Then we headed to the floral clock where we were able to take some pictures probably about a 5 to 10 minute stop and then we headed over to the whirlpool to take photos. Then off to Niagara Falls, where we were there at table rock for about an hour before heading to our Hornblower tour, but he also gave recommendations on whereto stand to get good pictures. They provided you with bottles of water during the ride They also made a pitstop for the bathroom. You could not ask for anything more I would recommend this tour if you want a more private, relaxing type of experience

Fantastic from hotel pickup to drop-off. Peter was a magnificent guide and extremely knowledgeable. He shared precious tips for getting the most out of the day, adapted the schedule to the weather and traffic, and helped us make the most of every moment, turning the experience into one of a kind. The small group made it feel personal, and the car was comfortable. Our driver, T.R., navigated traffic like a champion. Everything was perfect, and I highly recommend TrueExperiences!

It was a wonderful day with a great guide. Highly recommended. We learned a lot about the geography and history of this area and traveled in a comfortable mini-bus.

Pick up as arranged. Our guide was excellent and had a good source of information about the area. We had a lot of activities to do,including the zip wire, and he made sure we were at the right place at the right time. We didn't feel rushed and really enjoyed our day. The driver was also courteous and polite.

I was expecting a trip that was possibly overhyped, however it was really breathtaking. And the structure of the day and stop-offs organised by George, and his knowledge and guidance, was well pitched. Lovely iconic day out.

Awesome Day. Picked us up at Fairmont in nice MB van. Excellent driver (Danny) and #1 tour guide EVER (Peter). Peter was engaged with all of us in our small group. He was super knowledgeable about all the sites to and from Toronto. Had great tips to avoid the other tourists at all our stops and especially for the boat ride at Niagara Falls.

Enjoyed the tour very much! Very informative and boat tour and suggestions for lunch very good. Wish we spent a bit more time in the city of Niagara with the shops overall very good.

I just complete this tour today, 9/21/2026. Overall the tour was great and our tour guide, Elina (may have misspelled it), was extremely knowledgeable, organized, and helpful along the way. Two great things about this small group tour are the hotel pick up and the extra time you get at attractions. Of course you usually want more time at attractions but at least in this small group tour you get a little extra when compared to the larger tours. Highly recommend this tour.

We were a bit worried it was going to be a long day, but Patrick was an amazing tour guide -- so informative and funny! Vic was our driver and we felt so safe with him driving our bus. He was also so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our trip and having these two as our guides made it a very memorable experience.

We knew the falls would be spectacular, but this tour with Peter and Danny was way beyond what we hoped for. Peter’s narrative was informative and engaging. He was considerate, kept everyone safe and comfortable and instructed us where to stand and move in the tour boat for best views and best chance to stay (mostly) dry. So far it is the highlight of our 3-week stay in Canada, which is a beautiful country with gracious and welcoming people-just like Peter and Danny. Thank you!

Good trip would a great guide Patrick Would have like more time at Niagra as quite rushed even 30 mins more should have been great We were a group of 14 so minibus was full so not really luxury We also were first to be picked up and last to be dropped off so spend a lot of time on that - would be much fairer to drop off first in evening if you get picked up first

The tour was excellent Ellenor the guide and the driver were knowledgeable and informative. Niagara Falls and boat tour was good. Absolutely loved Niagara on the lake and olde fashioned traditional town. Would highly recommend this tour.

We did things in the reverse order as listed, and that worked great! Our guide was very helpful with tips on what shops to look at in Niagara by the lake. The boat tour was amazing, and our guide again gave great advice on where to stand on the boat for the best views. There were 14 people in our group which made it very easy to do some smaller stops along the way. Definitely recommend!

Christina is an excellent guide. This is a great way to do the trip, avoiding the big coach tours. Very comfortable to and from Niagra. It’s worth doing the Air Car view and the stop in Niagra on Ontario. Highly recommended.

Our guide Peter was a fantastic, humorous and knowledgeable man. Our driver Danny was an excellent driver and the two of them made for an excellent tour of Niagara Falls and the surrounding area. We made a stop a the quaint town of Niagara On The Lake where Peter recommended the Budapest Bakery for a delicious sandwich using there famous Chimney pastry. The walk around this beautiful town was with its gifts, eateries, candy, ice cream and wine shops was wonderful. I would strongly recommend that anyone interested in the falls tour seek out Peter for their guide! Many thanks to both of them for a great experience!

Trip was pricey but the reviews were great so I booked it for my husband, my two young adult sons and me, and I am so happy I did! Danny was our driver and Peter was our tour guide. They were phenomenal. They were informative, engaging and funny. They made the long drive educational and fun. We laughed a lot! Danny was patient as we ran into delays at the falls which caused him to wait a long time for us. And Peter knew all the tips and tricks to get us on the right side of the boat and it's entrances and exits. They gave us great recommendations on where to visit on the Niagara on the Lake leg of our tour, as well as in Toronto for the remainder of our trip. If you can get them as your guides, you should! I'm glad we did the boat ride for our first time. Next time we might try the evening or a different time of the year, but not necessarily the boat again. My recommendation - tennis shoes for walking, with water shoes in your backpack for the boat. Backpacks can be left safely in the van. Although, Peter does get you on the perfect part of the boat where you'll get sprayed but not drenched, so I didn't even need the change of clothes or shoes I thought I would! It was a great day.

The tour was as indicated in the website. Good tour guide. Good driver. Tour guide told interesting and fun facts about the area. The van was comfortable and temperature in van was perfect. The guide used a mic which was great.

One of the best tours we have ever had! We have done numerous tours in various different countries and this was one of the best! Christina was an excellent guide. She was full of information and explained everything really well. Michael was our superb driver. From pick up to drop off everything was done meticulously well. The only slight criticism I would have is that we would have liked a bit more time at Niagara on the Lake and at the Niagara falls itself. But all in all a brilliant tour!

An amazing trip! Our guide Peter and driver Michael were excellent. Peter was very pleasant and informative, my wife and I really enjoyed the information he presented and the photos he showed on his ipad. We stopped at Niagara on the Lake and had lunch and saw the gazebo from a Stephen King movie, The Dead Zone. The town was charming and the lunch was tasty and we tested some ice wine which was sweet and syrupy. Then on to the falls, very impressive, Peter was able to bypass a large amount of the line to the Hornblower boat. He also gave us great advice about positioning ourselves for the best views on the boat. On our tour we had couples from the UK and Australia and Peter asked them what they were doing next and he had advice for all of them on their future trips through Canada. Peter is very impressive with his knowledge and his willingness to to give advice. Highly recommend! you will feel that you got lucky with Michael and Peter.

Our experience with TruExperiences to Niagara Falls and the surrounding area was absolutely amazing (as my mother put it). Niagara Falls is absolutely breathtaking and a must-see. The boat trip is an unforgettable experience and gets you incredibly close to the falls. Elena was an excellent tour guide-friendly, knowledgeable and well organised, making the whole trip enjoyable from start to finish. The journey was comfortable and well planned. Highly recommended!

Danny (the driver) and (Margo the guide) were both extremely pleasant and accommodating with all on board. They had a lot of patience dealing with the latecomers and the lady who discovered she had left her credit cards at the shop in area we were leaving Margo kept us entertained whilst we waited for this lady to return to the shop The commentary was very clear, informative and comprehensive with beautiful sightseeing stops including visiting the exceptional village of Niagara on the Lake along the way The transport van was very comfortable All in all a very worthwhile enjoyable experience Standing on a boat getting wet at the bottom of Niagara Falls is a lifetime special experience

The experience was first class from the moment we were picked up until we were dropped off in the evening. Christina and Michael went out of their way to ensure all details were taken care of.

The trip was seamless from pickup to drop off. Our hotel wasn't one of the listed pickup points however the offer to pick us up was very much appreciated. Our guide Margo and driver Micheal were prompt arriving and were extremely friendly. Once on the road we had great commentary about the surroundings on our journey with some really wonderful stops en route. Niagara on the lake was just so pretty and full of history. Well worth booking the trip just to stop at the this hidden gem. The falls itself were magnificent and the day planned perfectly. Ideally would have liked a little more time in Niagara on the lake to fully take in the town but the time provided was ample enough to visit some of the boutiques and wonder the town. Would highly recommend this tour and if you're on the fence due to the difference in price to others take our word for it that it is well worth the money. Thank you both for an unforgettable trip.

The summary I read on this site did not mention any extensive walking or stairs. In fact there was over 3 miles of walking and many stairs. On their own website this might be mentioned but on viator there was no mention of the physicality of the tour. What a great experience! The van was very nice and comfortable and Michael the driver was awesome. Patrick was so knowledgeable and talked us through everything. They both grew up in Toronto so they we were a wealth of knowledge! Patrick made the whole trip very memorable. The small town of Niagara on the falls was a great stop and Niagara falls is stunning. Peter and Danny gave us an excellent itinerary and great information plus tips given for each stop. We were given plenty of time at each stop and managed to do everything we set out too. The falls were the highlight of the trip but we loved Niagara on the falls too!

We had the most fantastic day trip with our guide Peter and driver Michael. 5 guests in luxury minibus, it could not have been better. Peter was so entertaining, and so knowledgeable about the area and the points of interest and he looked after us so well at every stage in our day.
