Between The Lines Classic Wine Tasting

Ralf’s knowledge of the wines of both Between the Lines and the rest of the region was impeccable. We truly appreciated his knowledge.

A massive thank you to Andy for introducing us to some truly magnificent wines! We really enjoyed our visit - easily my favourite of the four wineries we visited during our Viator tour with Jasper. We didn’t eat there but the charcuterie board on the table next to us looked delicious. The winery itself was stunning. Highly recommended.

It was my 3rd winery tour and it was the best so far. Our guide( Elaine) was knowledgeable, funny and friendly.

All of the team where extra helpful especially Ralf who was extremely knowledgeable and loved talking about wine which was perfect!

This winery is definitely a hidden gem. Tom our wine server was a wealth of information. He had extensive knowledge about the wine and the growing process which was very educational. Tom was a former chef and his explanations of pairing wine with foods was really interesting. Besides the education, the wines we tasted red and white were excellent.

Elaine was absolutely amazing during our tasting. She was so knowledgeable and added humour as she described the wines. What an amazing experience.

Ralf was lovely and told the most endearing stories. We enjoyed everything we tasted and will definitely be adding this winery to our list of must visits every time we come to the area.

Ralf was our tasting guide. He was very insightful about the history of the winery and about the wines we were tasting. He gave excellent recommendations based on our preference to red wine, and although we are not generally white wine drinkers, we really enjoyed sampling the zero sugar chardonnay. We had visited this winery in its infancy stages and it was a pleasure to return for a visit and find how much it has expanded. The wines are superb!

THIS was my absolute favourite wine pairing on our Sip & Sizzle 2025 tour. We had a chicken souvlaki pairing with an amazing riesling!! Staff were attentive and so kind. We bought extra bottles.

My sister and I did the blind taste experience and it was so fun to sample wine and have to guess what it was on the menu. It was fun trying to see how well you truly know your taste for wine. Lacey was an amazing hostess and made the experience fun. Highly recommend 10/10

The host for our tasting was very accommodating but surprisingly, there was not a single wine we enjoyed. Maybe because we had such an exceptional experience at the De Simone Vineyards. The only thing we purchased from their pricey charcuterie board was the jelly served with an excellent choice of cheese. I hate to be negative but the wine was not enjoyable for the two of us. We left disappointed.

Excellent experience in every way. We were served by one of the owners which was an extra treat. Great wines. We bought 2 bottles and a set of canned wines. We will visit again.

This was an unscheduled stop on our day of booked wine tastings at NOTL. The facility is small and authentic, a tasting room much less grand than others we visited that day. We were greeted warmly and encouraged to share a single tasting between us. This was welcome advice and indicative of what was to come. Their focus at BTL was to have you try/enjoy/share their wines, not to empty your wallet with their tasting fee. The wine guide was a friendly lady, very kind, generous in her pours, and Canadian. The reds were the specialty and highlight here, which set them apart from other local wineries, and we brought several home with us. The personal touch at BTL is my best memory of our visit to NOTL. I'd highly recommend including them on your NOTL wine tasting itinerary.

Had a great time at Between the Lines winery through The Grape Escape tours. It was our first stop on the tour and was a great introduction to the day! The Outset wine cans were delicious and Ralf was very friendly and knowledgable about the history of the winery and wines. For each tasting, we were each given different options to try depending on our preferences.

We went to Between the Lines for our first time and it did not disappoint. Very cute and friendly atmosphere. We were offered a little bubbly while we had a short wait to be seated. Our server Diane was fantastic. Being our first time she told us about the winery and recommended some great tastings based on our conversation. I cant wait to go back the next time we are in NOTL.

Ralf was such a good guide through our first Canadian winery tasting. He was very well-versed on the varieties available and on the area. Try the hot sauce in the Vidal Icewine….truly original!

This vineyard was lovely. The tasting room was loud and exciting. Nearly every one of the wines we tasted were excellent. The red ice wine was especially divine.

Gord was a great host and knew what he was talking about. There was not enough selection in my opinion.

My husband and I visited Between the Lines for the Classic Wine Tasting and it was a truly enjoyable experience. The atmosphere of the tasting room was comfortable and welcoming, and our wine expert was interesting - taking the time to explain the history of the winery and the characteristics of the wines. We did not feel rushed at all. We have visited many Niagara on the Lake wineries over the years (large and small) and this was a really refreshing experience. And - put any snooty wine perceptions aside and try the canned sparkling wines. You won't be disappointed!

What a fantastic experience! We walked in without a reservation on a Tuesday afternoon and we were still able to get a tasting, since it was not too crowded. Brian went above and beyond to teach us about the wines in the region, as well as the wine production process, which we were happy to learn. Learned a lot and this really added to the experience and made us feel so welcome. Every wine was delicious and we purchased two bottles as well. Highly recommend!

The wines are great but Tracy was even better. Every wine we had she was very knowledgeable about. Would definitely recommend Tracy and Between the Lines.

I booked a wine tasting here for my birthday, and when I first arrived the scenery was very welcoming, and beautiful. I walked in the door, and the host wasn’t to friendly, so I was a little upset about that. After we were seated we were assign to Bree who changed everything. She was the best. She took her time explaining all four wines to us, she was friendly, funny, and a made this wine tasting one to remember.

My friend and I came to the winery rather spur of the moment, and were not sure if we would be able to participate in a tasting. Very lucky for us, there was room and we were told Elaine would be our tasting expert. We decided to try the black glass tasting (highly recommend). As Elaine brought each bottle shrouded from sight and poured it into our black wine glasses, we had a lot of fun trying to guess what we were tasting. Elaine quickly began to impress us with her knowledge, and some very interesting food pairing ideas with each wine. Elaine was super friendly and made our wine education a lot of fun. The winery itself has a great vibe and all of the staff seemed to be enjoying themselves and making everyone’s visit something to remember. A big thanks to Elaine for making this a fun and memorable part of our girls weekend!

Family owned, easy to find. Lacy was knowledgeable, fun and accommodated us at the last minute. Wines were great too!

Ralf went above and beyond during our wine tasting. He was attentive, a great story teller, and was very knowledgeable about all the wines, grapes, and fun facts about the property. The wines were tasty and couldn’t resist a bottle or two! See you next year, bye!

Elaine is so informative and amazing!! Her knowledge and expertise in the making of the wines in this vineyard and about each wine is superior! The wine tasting experience with food pairing was brought to life by Elaine! The wines are all unique to their own blend and flavours. Each sip created a new experience coupled with the accompanying bite size tasting of local curated meats and cheeses. We all learned so much about wine and the family owned local business. Elaine made our experience the utmost positive and educational!! Thank you Between The Lines for creating such an amazing wines and for having such amazing staff!! We had a tasting booked through Wineryguys. Our server, Elaine, was the highlight of our experience! She was incredibly knowledgeable and outgoing. She made the experience so fun and really showcased how the wine changed with food pairings! Would highly recommend.

Staff was great, especially Shiven! Been coming to NOTL for years from Ohio, first time back since the Rona Closure. Their wines have improved greatly and the “Porchpounder” EfferV Riesling is incredible

On the first day of our trip from the U.S., we visited Between the Lines. Not having reservations, we were only offered to do a tasting while standing at the bar. Server was friendly and the wines were just okay. It was an average experience for us.

What a great winery! Warm and inviting, and super friendly staff! Blake guided us through a tasting that of course led to many purchases! Wine in a can should be on everyone's grocery list!

What a gem! Between the lines was far from that, it was beyond excellent. Paula made this place even more amazing. Her charisma, her incredible knowledge, her persona and her attentiveness are the least characteristics we can share. Our experience with her was unforgettable. And let’s talk about the Ice Wine!!!!!! Liquid heaven doesn’t even describe it, you HAVE to try it, you 100% will not regret it. Incredible! Loved this precious place! 💕

My friends and I just loved this place. The first winery where the owner came and talked to us. He was so nice and pleasant to talk to. His story about the winery and it's history was very interesting. The atmosphere was great and the server was fantastic! I truly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

I visited here as part of a wine tour. Elaine was amazing!! So knowledgeable and funny. Walking me through the food and wine pairing charcuterie plate was perfect. Even shared plenty of other food pairing tips. If you visit her, ask for Elaine and she’ll take good care of you.

Our host and guide to wine testing , "Shiyenne(I spelt this wrong for sure)" was fantastic. She gave us an in-depth review of the wines, have us back story to the estate and was an absolute joy to relate to. She deserves glowing recognition.
