We had our wedding at Puddicombe House this past weekend and it was everything we dreamed of and more. We initially chose it because of the 1800's architecture and the option of having an outdoor ceremony in the park. Alayna Bailey is a 5-star event coordinator. She is kind, helpful, and calm, but also organized, thorough, and professional, which is exactly what you want on your wedding day and during the wedding planning process. The food is also OUTSTANDING. Not only the wedding meals but also the regular menu, which we had the day before for our rehearsal dinner. The hotel rooms are also very cute and clean. We would highly recommend Puddicombe House as a wedding venue, hotel, and restaurant.

We had our wedding here in Sept 2026. It was the best day ever. The day ran so smoothly with their day of coordinator. They made every single one of our requests happen. The food was literally the best food I have ever had at a wedding, and just in general! All of our guests raved about it. The location outside if you choose to have it outside is absolutely stunning. If you are considering having your wedding here you will not be disappointed.
Staying at Puddicombe house is like a journey back in time, being surrounded by beautiful architecture & unique decor, but with all the modern amenities! Everywhere you look there is whimsy. My family & I loved the spacious & modern room that made us feel like we were staying in a historic home! We had a wonderful view of Puddicombe House that was lit up so beautifully at night. The town at night slowed down & was so quiet, that it made it really easy to relax and rest at night. It was such a nice break from the city!
We ate at the restaurant here as part of a package deal on a day out, and it was absolutely the perfect way to end the day! The restaurant was full and busy, so a reservation (especially on weekends) can be a must. All of the servers were wonderful; friendly, knowledgeable about the food, helpful with directions, and always ready to get what they could for you. Out menu was smaller, a set selection type of menu, but even those selections were varied and excellent. The appetizers are large, easily able to be split between two people. The mains are just amazing, the perfect size with all of the food both presented beautifully, and tasting absolutely divine. We capped it off with a lovely cup of dessert and a coffee, which was a fantastic cherry on top to an already flawless meal. Even though the restaurant was busy we were never rushed, and they made sure to give us time to enjoy our coffees and wind down our conversation. My group was sat on a patio outside, but there were so many different places to be sat. There are the indoor dining rooms within the house which looked simple but elegant. Then there is a large wraparound deck, which is both covered and has large openable glass screens to allow both for outdoor experience and continuing to eat outside if the weather turns. Then there were three individual gazebos, each with a large table inside for a group. Last was the fully outdoor patio with a umbrella cover that was put away in the evening to allow for more light. Each spot had it own charms and allowed for this fantastic dining experience. Definitely a restaurant worth the reservation and the drive if you are anywhere remotely in the area!
Great atmosphere, service and food!! We had ordered the braised beef rib and the braised beef bolognese. Both were extremely flavorful and cooked with quality, fresh ingredients. Zack, our waiter was awesome. They have a great list of cocktails and wines to pair with food. Lots of seating, both indoors and outdoors.
