HIGHLY ILLEGAL: They never answer their phones or emails should anything go wrong. These people do not exist when you have trouble checking into the property. In the email, they claim to have a guest experience manager, but there is no such person and there is no way to contact them. 1.Before booking, they don't tell you that they will ask you for a copy of your ID. In Canada, it's against the privacy laws to retain digital copies of anybody's ID. Official hotels only look at your ID and return it to you, but because The Laundry Rooms do not have a front desk, they use this as an excuse to retain a copy of your ID. Do not give it to them. It's against the law. 2. HIDDEN COSTS: Again, after booking, they will ask you for a $250 deposit that is more than the hotel standard. Again, they don't tell you any of this before you book with them. 3. Before booking, they tell you the check-in time is 3 pm, but after you have paid, they tell you the check-in time is 4 pm? What the hell? I don't know how they got 4.8 on Google reviews. Must be a bunch of fake reviews. Do yourself a favor: go to a legitimate hotel instead.

To start, we were surprised to find hair o er the floor in the bathroom, as well as pet hair on the couches. They cleaners did not do a great job cleaning before we got there. Then, as we got into the elevator to go to our room, we shocked, and quite startled that the elevator shut down, the power went our, the elevator dropped and we were left in the dark. Then when we called the number from the panel, it said it was busy. I pried the door open, and we ended up climbing 10 flights of stairs, and couldn't access our door. Then, as we made breakfast, the power went out, and spoiled some of the food. Other than that, we had good sleep, it was very quiet, and all else was great.

My boyfriend and I spend a lot of weekends in Waterloo, and we usually stay at the Delta Hotels by Marriott. After a disappointing experience during our last stay there, we decided to try something different and came across Laundry Rooms on Expedia. It was actually more affordable than where we normally stay, and when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find that we’d booked a beautiful penthouse suite with a wraparound balcony. The space was spacious, modern, spotless, and very well maintained. The check-in process was incredibly easy, with everything being self-service, which made arriving hassle-free. Even though there wasn’t a traditional front desk, the team was quick and easy to reach via SMS whenever needed. Overall, it exceeded our expectations, and we’ll definitely be staying here again the next time we’re in Waterloo.

BEWARE: This is not a hotel. If you are driving up and expecting to see parking or a help desk- there is none. We tried and got lost and wasted hours waiting for help at their office that was locked during regular business hours. You must message the host via text and be in constant communication to enter the building, get keys, and get access to the underground parking. We were coming off a long plane ride from a different country so it was a bit of a nightmare. Once you have the keys and access to the parking garage you are staying in a great place! Amazing view of downtown. Great location and huge apartments. The first day was extremely unfortunate, but once we settled in, it was a great stay!
