This was an exceptional hotel experience. Kind and attentive staff. Clean room with plenty of space. Great shower and other amenities. Having 3 in house dining options was a plus and any food we tried was fantastic! Water service with sparkling or still water was a nice touch. I wish we had more time to explore the area we were in as it seemed so cute with plenty of shops, cafés, and restaurants. Definitely try Lady Marmalade, just a 7 min walk away!

Stayed here for 2 nights. The Broadview Hotel is a solid option if you want to stay on Toronto’s east end, but go in with realistic expectations. The hotel has a nice boutique feel, the lobby is stylish, and the staff were friendly. The location on Queen Street East is excellent if you want to explore Riverside and Leslieville. There really aren’t many hotel options in this part of the city, so that’s one of its biggest advantages. That said, the rooms were pretty meh. They’re clean and functional, but nothing special, especially for the price. One tip: avoid the 6th floor. The rooftop restaurant is directly above it, and you can hear chairs being dragged around and other noise from above, especially in the evenings. Overall, this isn’t a 5 star hotel by any means, but it’s also not a bad stay. If you specifically want to be in the east end, it’s one of the better choices. Just keep your expectations in check and request a room below the 6th floor if you can.
If you evaluate a venue based on the precision of its design and the consistency of its atmosphere, The Broadview Hotel is a masterclass in urban restoration. This isn't just a hotel; it’s a perfectly executed conversion of a historical landmark into a modern, high-end hospitality hub. The architecture is the highlight here. The exterior maintains that classic, late-19th-century Romanesque Revival grit, but the moment you step inside, it’s all about high-contrast, moody luxury. The restoration work, preserving the original brick and woodwork while integrating polished brass and bespoke mid-century furniture - is handled with surgical attention to detail. It is a clean, sophisticated aesthetic that feels both rooted in history and sharply contemporary. I spent the evening on the Rooftop Terrace, which offers one of the most tactical views of the Toronto skyline. The workflow behind the bar is efficient and professional, even during the peak evening rush. The cocktail program is balanced and precise, favoring classic builds executed with top-tier components. The entire experience is a study in maintaining high standards. Whether you’re staying in one of the meticulously designed suites or just holding a meeting in the lounge, everything functions exactly as it should. It’s an elite, highly disciplined space for those who demand quality and a refined atmosphere without the unnecessary noise of the Financial District. Highly recommended.
Amazing experience! Such a nice hotel with wonderful staff. Isha at the front desk was very helpful and kind. My partner and I were exhausted from a long drive, so I greatly appreciated her helping us bring our luggage from the parking lot behind the hotel street. Breakfast and dinner at the rooftop were amazing as well. Highly recommended!
We chose the Tower floor at The Broadview Hotel for our 12 person wedding, and it was a great fit for an intimate celebration. The location is very convenient, right between downtown and the east end, making it easy for our families to get to. We also booked a couple of hotel rooms for ourselves and the wedding party. The Corner Room was perfect for getting ready and for pre ceremony photos, while the Deluxe Rooms were comfortable for other couples in the group. The Tower space comfortably hosted both our ceremony and dinner. We were initially concerned about lighting, but on a sunny day the room really shines. The large windows bring in beautiful natural light, especially around sunset, and the exposed brick and chandeliers add a warm, rustic feel. The hotel has a charming vintage vibe, with thoughtful touches like the record player in the rooms. The second floor balcony and nearby streetcar line made for some classic Toronto photo opportunities, and the surrounding neighbourhood has plenty of great spots for coffee and brunch. The catering was excellent, and the staff were friendly, professional, and accommodating throughout. They handled dietary needs, including gluten free, vegetarian, and halal options, without any issues.
