Park Hyatt Toronto

We’ve heard spectacular reviews about this hotel. We had to see it for ourselves. This hotel is definitely upscale, from the moment you walk in, you feel like 5 starts. Marina was at the front desk helping us with the check in to the check out to the concierge, and providing us with excellent service. The staff is truly incredible. Super welcoming, and friendly. The valet staff, to holding our bags while we explore the city. This hotel is truly breathtaking- walking distance to almost everything. The complimentary ride service was also nice, included with our stay- certain radius. Writers room is upscale, rooftop bar. Stunning views. Incredible staff as well.

Checked in for the first night and already Park Hyatt has fallen short for being a luxury hotel. We walked in with luggage and were not welcomed by valet. They merely made sure the door was open for us to walk through. It would have been nice to welcome us in and point us to the right to reception to check in. We ended up walking left and had to walk around. At the reception desk, several people were available to check us in. Arriving at 5pm, we expected the room to be ready for us to quickly freshen up and go to dinner. To our dismay, the room was ready but had not been "checked" and would require an additional 10 mins. We were giving bottles of water while waiting and did not receive the prosecco welcome drinks that others received. We did see bottles sitting out next to reception. A gentleman checked us in and asked if we wanted to know about amenities. At this point we were cutting it close to dinner and declined. In hindsight, all this information could have been offered to us while we waited for the room. I agree with several others who reported that this Park Hyatt falls short.

Had a great stay at Park Hyatt! Check-in was smooth, and the welcome glass of Prosecco on a hot day was a nice surprise. The room was spotless, spacious, and had everything I needed. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable (which deserves a special mention these days!). Room service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Definitely check out the rooftop bar the views are gorgeous, but make a reservation in advance. The sauna and steam room were another highlight. I used them several times, and it was so peaceful that the only thing I heard was the occasional subway rumble underground. Overall, a fantastic stay. Thanks, Park Hyatt team -you made it hard to leave!

The hotel was generally very good. The food and beverages were excellent, the room was very comfortable, and the bedding and towels were luxurious. If the staff at the entrance had opened the doors and assisted with luggage, I would have given 5 stars for service. Instead, I had to lift my heavy luggage myself on both arrival and departure. The doormen were on their phones and talking amongst themselves - customers were clearly not their priority. I observed this throughout my stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. However, I hope that next time my arrival and departure are closer to the standard I’d expect from a Park Hyatt - or any self-respecting five star hotel.
