The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, which is great for the property in the long run. However, be aware that drilling and construction noise starts as early as 7:00 a.m., so don't expect a quiet morning. The usual breakfast area has been temporarily relocated to a makeshift space that didn't seem particularly well planned or organized. We checked in late at night and were told that valet service wouldn't begin until the morning. Since our truck was too large for the underground garage, we self-parked outside. Despite this, we were still charged for valet parking. The only time a valet actually handled our vehicle was the following day when we returned to the hotel and a staff member parked it. On the day of departure, we were simply handed our keys and retrieved the vehicle ourselves, so the valet charge was confusing. The room itself also left something to be desired. There were flies in both the room and the hallways, the shower floor wasn't clean, and the room was noticeably dusty, making me question how recently it had been occupied. The bath towels were also quite thin and felt like lower-quality linens than I would expect. Overall, there was nothing particularly memorable about our stay. While the renovations are understandable, the combination of construction noise, cleanliness issues, and the confusing valet charge made the experience feel underwhelming. Hopefully the hotel straightens out after renovations are completed. Also, the hotel didn’t seem very accessible friendly as to go to the rooms, you had to go up a small set of stairs and I watched as an older lady struggled up with her walker. The only saving grace is the location.

I was here for an Ironman event, where thousands of athletes with bikes and tons of gear descended upon the city. Let's just say, we're not always a welcome crowd. This hotel was advertised as one of the best places to book by ironman, so I booked it. They were prepared for us and welcomed us with open arms! I had help with my bike up to my room. Every encounter at the desk was super helpful. The housekeeping and room service staff were so kind and attentive. Yes, there is construction, but it was limited to week day working hours. I worked in my room one of the days and truly didn't notice any disruption. It's conveniently located. Just a great experience overall.
Great hotel overall! Because of ongoing renovations, there were a few minor disruptions during my stay. The lounge and restaurant are currently under construction and unavailable, and the water service was shut off for about 4 hours one day—though understandable given the active construction work. Disruptions aside, the room was spotless, the mattress was nicely firm, and the down pillows were super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good (it moved locations once during the week, but no big deal). While the updated, modern bathroom felt a tad small relative to the main room's layout, it was very clean. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Ottawa, hopefully once all the renovations are complete!
The restaurant was quite overpriced. I liked the room, but honestly I dont think it is worth ~400 CAD without breakfast (May, 2026) per night. The hotel offers some "hidration stations", where you can fill your water bottle or ice bucket. These stations are not present in all floors, but only a few selected ones (you need your room card to access this room). The water pressure at the room could be better. The room was almost quiet but i dont think is sufficiently soundproofed from the corridor, and we can hear the Ottawa train passing. Service was nice, everyone is very kind and show a real willingness to help. The location is good. It is close to most of what the city can offer in terms of tourism. I would probably not stay there again, at least not at full price. I just dont feel like it is worth the price, they dont even include the breakfast. Breakfast is around $35 CAD on weekdays and $26 CAD on weekends (no omelets), before taxes.
Stayed at this hotel recently and had a great experience! The place was very clean and it’s in a perfect downtown location with so many things around, which made everything super. The only thing I wish is that the lounge was open, but they still offer a lot of great amenities so it didn’t take away from the stay too much. The staff were honestly amazing. I was helped by a trainee with black hair, and she was helpful and knew exactly what to say. Everyone was so kind, and even the bellman went out of his way to help a lot. Very knowledgeable. really great service and a great stay!
