We recently did a 5 night stay at this property. It is in a great location, and the staff are very polite and absolutely do their best. Rooms are decent sized, amenities provided are adequate, and the CF center is right next door. Anything other then soap, shampoo, and conditioner needs to be requested. We used the club lounge on a few occasions, and it was OK. Breakfasts were good in general, with a range of things to choose from, nothing special. The lounge had a small selection of hot foods- 1 or 2 things, and some sodas and a honor bar for beer/wine- drink and note your room and you get billed. This was in the evenings for a few hours. The reason I am docking stars is their AC was completely inadequate. We got there during a heatwave, but the room temperature never maintained below 22 degrees C according to their thermostat. This was even at night, early mornings, or when it was cooler on a few of the days. In general the room just felt vert stuffy - like there was not enough air circulation. I didn't have a thermometer to check but I suspect the room was warmer then the 22 deg C we were seeing on he thermostat. They offered to change our room - but all the rooms had the same issue. I conclude this is a property that needs serious investment to solve these issues, and hopefully does soon. It is an extremely busy place, with people checking in and out literally 24/7, with what appeared to be countless corporate travelers. This makes me think there is likely no pressure to improve things and maybe the heating works much better. Hence, I will likely not stay here again if I ever do end up in Toronto in the summer again, even though the location was great, as were the staff.

A masterclass in service! Just got back from a family vacation and stayed at the Marriott Eaton Center. Top marks all around - great food, location and customer service. Everyone from the front desk staff, housekeeping, restaurant/bar staff were warm, friendly and professional. The rooms were clean and spacious. Best hotel breakfast in Toronto, with 5-star omelette bar. Pro-tip: spring for the lounge access and thank me later!
My recent stay at the Marriott Downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre was overall solid. Being literally connected to the Eaton Centre made shopping and dining really accessible, you can’t beat the accessibility for downtown Toronto. The service was another standout highlight. I called housekeeping for a few extra items, and they were at my door in less than five minutes. That kind of responsiveness is rare and much appreciated. The amenities were also fully equipped, so I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. However, the property is starting to show its age. The rooms felt a bit dated and could definitely use a modern refresh in terms of decor and furnishings. I was also a bit disappointed by the lack of a complimentary breakfast option, especially given the premium price point—it would have been a nice perk. Lastly, the selection of room types felt fairly limited, so if you have specific bed or view preferences, make sure to book well in advance. If your top priorities are a prime location and efficient service, this hotel is a great choice. Just go in with realistic expectations regarding the older room aesthetics and the lack of free breakfast.
This Marriott location is an absolute winner for anyone staying in downtown Toronto! The hotel boasts a truly spectacular location, with incredibly close proximity to Nathan Phillips Square (Philip Nathan Square). Even better, both Trinity Square and the Eaton Centre Mall are literally next door, giving you instant access to world-class shopping, dining, and beautiful urban spaces right at your doorstep. If you are traveling for work in the financial district area, this is a highly convenient and relatively economical option compared to other premium spots nearby. You can easily walk to your office meetings while enjoying all the comforts, reliability, and excellent amenities you expect from a Marriott property. I will absolutely choose this hotel again for my future business trips to Toronto!
Great hotel, great staff, great location. But the Rooms walls are made of paper!! Rooms with a connecting door are the worse. I could hear EVERYTHING my room neighbour was doing, even if they were not that noisy! Rooms doors are also so noisy and loud when they close, the walls shake! No privacy at all.
