The hotel sits near every amenity you might need. Service is excellent, and I strongly recommend adding the breakfast package. Corner rooms offer more space, and the rainfall shower is well worth choosing. My stay was brief, so I skipped the gym and pool; a longer visit would have included them.
We very much enjoyed the renovated King Suite we started in. The engineered wood floors instead of carpet is a great bonus for those with allergies looking for accommodation. The included options on the al a cart breakfasts made the stays quality rise significantly. The on site restaurant certainly is a class above standard breakfast rooms. We particularly found our breakfast serving staff to be high quality with their attentiveness and friendly conversation earning them high remarks. The location is next to the Kanata entertainment mall and not far from The Canadian Tire center.
We had a 1 night stay for a concert. Close to the venue with tons of amenities near by. Beds were super comfy. My only issue with the room is we found someone else's hat beside the bed so it makes me wonder how clean the room really was. The attached restaurant is a bit pricey, but with so many other restaurants nearby, you have loads of other options.
Sorry for the long review.. A weekend away for the triumph/April wine concert. We are a member and have stayed at the marriott and Hilton chains in both Montreal and Toronto this year. Very impressed that the holiday inn & suites carries dove soap ( liquid bottles)in the rooms. It's the small things for us frequent travelers. We always bring our own toiletries but this was a very nice touch and I hope all holiday inns have upgraded!. LOVED, LOVED the room lay out. 2 tvs(1 in bed room) with private door into was washroom so not to disturb guests sleeping on the pullout couch. Queen size bed, Coffee maker/small sink/miceowave kitchen area nicely tucked out of the way. Small room but VERY well thoughtful design. right over top of large mall and walking distance to everything. Stayed next door at the marriott last year but this will be our go to in kanata.
