Nice old hotel charm and staff. Great gym. Comfy bed & pillows. However the room was not what you expect for a Fairmont, quite the let down...
Big gap under my room door, appeared to be the only one with such a large gap having assessed other rooms as I walked by. Paper thin walls, could hear the conversations in both rooms on either side, and there was a massive stain on the wallpaper. The pool facility was pretty average too. I expected much more given the well regarded hotel chain and price. Not worth it.
We enjoyed a beautiful night at the Fairmont Royal York hotel. This was our third time staying here and though the nearly 100 year old architecture limits the size of the bathrooms, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and quiet and the service was impeccable. We would like to give a special mention to Joy, Kavita, Vijita, Glenn (with two n's) and the lovely lady in Clockwork who helped us find a lost object. You can't beat this amazing place for its ability to provide happy memories. Thank you!
Spent one night - amazing place. Customer Service is clearly priority. You can be dressed up in designer or look like a tired family who spent a day at the zoo and be treated like celebrities.
Check in was easy. The cookies and milk for kids is a sweet touch. Room was comfy, staff incredibly friendly and the valet parking was hassle free. Will book two nights next time!

This hotel is absolutely phenomenal! The moment I walked into the lobby I was met with the most beautiful displays of cherry blossom trees that were perfect for photo ops. There was low lit lighting that felt very romantic, and there was even a gorgeous live piano performance. I could smell the gentle aroma of roses everywhere I went too. I walked into the elevator to go up to my room and even the elevator was nicely scented of roses. When I first arrived I was met with the most lovely and inviting staff members at the front desk who were very helpful and provided incredibly good service. My partner stayed the night with me at the hotel while in surgery recovery at the clinic associated with the hotel and the service desk was so incredibly helpful as to offer to have someone bring my dinner I had delivered up to our room from the lobby so that I could stay in our room and keep an eye on my recovering partner. I’ve had the most amazing experience here and I couldn’t recommend it more. This hotel is of course high up there in price, but that is to be expected of one of the finest hotels in Toronto. I was so glad I got to experience staying here though as it has truly been such an amazing experience. I can’t thank the service team at the Fairmont Royal York enough for their incredible work to ensure the happiness, care, and wellbeing of those staying at their establishment.
