This was my second time staying at Executive Hotel and I would definitely consider coming back. The location is perfect, a quieter street tucked into the financial district. Perfect walking distance to lots of nearby stores and transit stops. The staff were friendly and helpful. The suites offer a mini kitchen and fridge which is great for multiday stays. There is a small gym which can fit a few people. Unfortunately the spa is closed Monday and Tuesdays so we were unable to use this service. Overall, worth the stay!

Front desk staff was very friendly! Room was excellent at a reasonable price and walking distance to numerous restaurants and bars and places of interest. Also close to the train station and metro. I would stay here again.
Beware of bed bugs here! Do not book. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that actually take their cleaning seriously. After discovering the bites I called front desk to investigate and change rooms. They found nothing (because bed bugs hide) and said there weren’t any other rooms available. Luckily, I got a full refund and was able to find another hotel. The hotel staff were helpful and sympathetic but the bed bugs and cleanliness were unacceptable.
Worse Than a Motel, Priced Like a Luxury Hotel !! Do not stay here. My experience at the Executive Hotel Cosmopolitan Toronto was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. For the premium price they charge, the level of service and quality is completely unacceptable. I have no idea how this place has a 4-star rating, unless they are using bots to post fake positive reviews. Here is why you should avoid this place: Dirty Rooms & OLD Towels: The room was dirty when I arrived. Even after housekeeping supposedly "cleaned" it, it was still disgusting. Dingy Balconies: The balcony was completely uninviting, covered in grime, and clearly hasn’t been maintained.A ggressive Hidden Fees: They nickel-and-dime you for absolutely everything. Expect an extra charge for every basic amenity. Dead Atmosphere: The bar and restaurant were completely closed during my stay. Useless Spa Hours: The spa jacuzzi is closed entirely on Mondays and Tuesdays. On the days it actually opens, it shuts down at a ridiculous 5:45 PM. Deposit Hostage Situation: After checking out, they held a massive deposit—double the amount I actually paid for the room—for another 3 to 4 days. This place is a total rip-off. Save your money and sanity and book somewhere else.
While the location is great and having a kitchen and laundry in suite might be nice, there is currently construction going on right outside the front doorstep of this hotel. The building across from it is completely gutted with junk abandoned inside of it so my view from the 15th floor was a creepy abandoned building. I could just see the tip of the CN tower off to the right. The room was not very clean in spots (mirrors smudged with handprints, couch not vacuumed) and just generally felt grubby. The flooring is nice but there are some older finishes that just make it all feel worn out. I could have lived with a lot of the above especially considering it was a work trip on someone else dime, but then I tried to go to sleep around 1130pm and...the construction crew started up working!! They had a loud obnoxious vehicle running down there directly below my balcony on street level from about 12 midnight until 3am. The windows did not block any of the sound and it was hands down the worst night I have ever had in a hotel. I got maybe 3 hours sleep in the end. I talked to the front desk staff about it the next morning and they only had excuses and no apologies at all - when they were charging $600+ per night!! No discounts, no nothing. Oh and the restaurant there is not open...and someone else I was there with for a work trip had ants in their bathroom. Would not recommend this hotel until they get their act together and the surrounding construction is over.
