Highly recommend taking this tour! It is a family run business which made it even better! Despina was a great guide and even had us a private driver to take us to the beach since we were the only two from the group to have that add on. We were able to enjoy a local beach and go for a swim and then were dropped off back at port.

This tour is the perfect mix of visiting the ancient site of Olympia and chilling on the beach at Kourouta. We had an excellent guide at Olympia who was a wealth of knowledge and was able to ask all our questions. It was much better in a small group compared to the big bus tours. Kourouta beach has been rewarded a Blue Flag for 2026, so very clean. Also, we got back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. The only downside was the limited suspension in the minivan which made for quite an uncomfortable ride.
Overall very good. The group was small enough to be flexible given the weather was not cooperating. Nice visit to Olympic site. No beach as it was quite stormy. GIven the option to roam around the small town or visit a honey bee farm. We chose to roam the town and had a nice lunch and got some shopping in.
The staff were so lovely on this trip the small coach was great and air conditioned and the guide we had in the Olympia site was amazing so knowledgeable and great with the children of the trip. The beach and restaurant was lovely and relaxed too.
Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed the experience. In particular , our two drivers were so friendly and warm ! Beach was beautiful !
Excellent tour! Meeting point came with very clear directions. Small group transportation was clean and comfortable with safe driving. Despina provided great information on the way to Olympia. She was especially good with our kids, even though the trip was for all ages. Maria did a great job leading us through the Olympic site. The small group was a big benefit over the large tour groups at the site. The beach visit after came with reserved seating at no additional cost and was a great way to relax after visiting the ruins. Overall a great tour and excellent value especially compared to the cruise ship excursions.
Our tour guide was great and the tour itself was very organized, and well planned. We spent just enough time in Olympia on a very hot day, and we loved our time at the beach. I would recommend this tour over a tour offered by the cruise lines.
We had an amazing experience. Our driver and tour guide were great. We visited Olympia archeological site. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about Ancient Greek history and the site where the original Olympics took place. We stopped at an olive oil shop and tasted numerous types and flavors of olive oil. Then a private driver whisked us off to the beach. It was a great day in Olympia! I would definitely recommend this tour. There was a little walking involved but not overly strenuous.
Very kind and patient staff. I really enjoyed the narration and tour guide wealth of knowledge. Perfect amount of time to enjoy the grounds and beach in the same day.
We had a great tour with Costos! The tour company was organized and it was easy to find them at the meeting spot. Our guide was super friendly and professional. He took us to the historical site and then took us to a great restaurant for lunch and beach. Our guide at Olympia was great too-Helena. It was a great day!
The excursion was well organizer. We met our group at the end of the pier where we were divided into 2 groups: one that was going to the beach after the tour of the Olympic grounds, the other that was spending the afternoon in other ways. After the tour a driver took us to the beach where we were free to do whatever. The beach was shared by a delighted eatery “Cabana”. The service and food were wonderful. We had a delightful young server with limited English but working together we had fun communicating!
Communication was excellent. Transportation was a luxury Mercedes Sprinter van - very nice! Marcello was friendly & knowledgeable. Would liked to have excursion an hour longer to allow more time at the beach.
This small group tour was wonderful. The guide at Olympia was a very interesting expert who brought a lot of value to our short time together. Our driver was friendly and helpful. The beach was beautiful and had free lounge chairs, umbrellas, a couple of restaurants, and a place to change. We had a relaxing and fulfilling day.
Great beach day and tour at Olympia. Mario and Elena were great guides and very knowledgeable. Recommend bringing cash for the Olympia tickets to save some time getting into the ruins. Overall a perfect day!
It was a very pleasant experience. Our tour guide Marios was very informative and made sure everyone felt relaxed and enjoyed the tour. The beach he took us was great, and Natalia that gave us the monument tour was very nice as well. We enjoyed her explanations.
The Olympics tour was wonderful. Natalia was a great guide and informative. They charged us an additional 20 Euros to get into the grounds. They started that it would cost 20 Euros to go to the museum not to get into the olympics site. Marios was a great guide on the bus, but when we got to the beach they had no chairs for us to sit on. This was a neighborhood public beach it was crowded and no section for the tour people. It was very disappointing because the beach was beautiful but we could not get on it.
We truly enjoyed Olympia, we had an amazing guide - Dimitra. She was knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. However, the time at the beach was way too short, we didn't have much time to eat and swim
Great experience! Helena and her colleague were fabulous on our excursion! The details provided were excellent. The pick-up and tour were well organized and I would definitely highly recommend. The beach was beautiful next to multiple outdoor cafes! Loved it all.
Our tour was awesome. Elena was excellent and was very informative and very clear about explaining everything about the Olympic ruins. Marius was also great except he didn’t connect with everyone on the bus I think. He tried but we were all very tired. He found it really difficult to break the ice so to speak. Overall the tour was great! Enough time on the ruins and beach
Booking states “private”. It is not a private booking. It should be listed as group tour. The entire tour was very rushed and for the price, not worth it. We were continually hurried through each location and at the end of the day, I would have spent my money elsewhere. The driver took half the trip to get to and from each location and often times under the speed limit. Safety, I understand, but when you’re being passed by tour buses, it’s a little disappointing. The price was not worth being on a large tour. I highly recommend just driving on your own or getting on a large tour bus that will offer more comfort and get you there quicker.
This was a well organized and fun excursion! We had an actual archaeologist do the guided tour of Olympia and she gave just the right amount of information and history. The olive oil tasting was cool, but I would’ve rather had more time at the beach. The beach was absolutely amazing! I definitely would recommend this tour.
The experience was well organized and timely. The tour guide met us exactly where they sent the photo of the gate. The guide was pleasant and professional. The van was fantastic. This was a great tour. I highly recommend for families
Perfect balance of history (with Olympia) and relaxation on the beautiful coastline of Greece (with the Beach visit). Wonderful tour guides were provided for each part of this tour that were so personable and shared great knowledge, while connecting with their guests. We loved the beach/venue area as well… easy to order food and drinks, umbrellas and chairs provided by venue (as long as you ordered from a restaurant). And gorgeous waters to wade into while relaxing on the beach.
The tour guide was fantastic! She was well informed on the Olympic ruins history and was very pleasant to listen to.
We were glad we visited the site of the Olympics. Very good lady guide and plenty of time to see the entire site. After that we changed from the beach to a honey farm with the rest of the group. Weather was the reason we choose to skip the beach. The honey farm was a pleasant time and the guide we had was wonderful. I would suggest this tour to anyone.
My husband and I loved this small group tour. There were about 15 people and we were transported in a very nice Mercedes van. Both of our guides were knowledgeable and friendly. We loved it!
Excellent guide and tour with optional stops at an olive market and honey farm which was a great addition! Definitely recommend!
We had two tour guides for this excursion. The tour guide for Olympia was wonderful! She provided us with the history of the Olympic Games and made it fun. The next stop was supposed to be the beach. Instead we stopped for an Olive Oil demonstration. We had already attended one in another excursion, so I was disappointed with the unplanned stop. This also reduced our time at the beach to 45 minutes. I took a walk on the beach and there was a lot of trash in the sand. I would not recommend this beach for a beach trip. Our second tour guide provided us with more information about his home and time at Greece vs information on the area. One time is not bad, but the majority of the excursion was too much. I would not recommend this excursion.
We would always recommend a small group tour if at all possible. Our guide was informative and engaging while giving us as much time as possible to enjoy specific stops on our own. Each stop was interesting and in particular, Olympia. Our guide was knowledgeable and answered the numerous questions we all had about this amazing part of world history. Especially considering the Paris Summer Olympics recently wrapped up. Our visit to the Olive Oil shop in the town of Olympia cool and the beach stop with time for a drink and a light bite while wading in the Aegean Sea just wonderful. Our favorite Viator trip while on our cruise.
Driver Andreas was excellent driver and guide. Loved the olive oil tasting stop as an extra. Beach was beautiful and refreshing. Great archeologist guide at Olympia site. Highly recommended
Olympia was just amazing. Our tour guide was kind, extremely knowledgeable, and made the tour highly interesting. She went out of her way to help us in any way she could. They could have cancelled us due to low attendance, but instead they sent a private driver to the cruise port to pick us up. Our driver, Costas, was extremely warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We had a choice of beaches and the one we chose was beautiful. Everyone that worked for this tour company was wonderful and we had a lovely time.
I loved seeing the original spot of the Olympics, where they light the torch to this day every 2 years. Our guides were great and it was not a long boring tour ! Just enough time
The guides were great and the Olympic stadium was amazing guides were very knowledgeable was more than so expected.
It was a great tour with a very knowledgeable guide. The beach was beautiful. The gift shop was great. The scenery on the drive with all the olive trees, melon fields and more agricultural was fascinating. The restaurant on the beach could have been more authentic Greek Food.
Our tour guide was great!! We enjoyed Olympia, there just long enough and the beach was incredible! The taste test was fun, but being gluten free I couldn’t try much (tested types of olive oil with bread).
Loved the tour with Maria..she explained the historic info very well. Also loved Costos our guide who drove very well, was friendly and an absolute pleasure to be our guide.
Our tour guide was Fantastic! Knowledgeable fun a pleasure to be with. One of our favorite days After the tour we were Taken to a beach and then back to the ship and we had the best day
Easy to find pick up location - our tour guide was superb as was our driver. In addition to Olimpia,we got to taste local produce and the beach was busy but enjoyable too. A big thumbs up for this tour 🙏
The ruins at Olympia were very interesting. The price of admission should be included in the total cost, not paid for individually at the site. The beach was pretty but there was not one chair or umbrella available even though we went at a time that was supposed to not be busy. I had an accident that required stitches. Natalia and Alexis were absolutely wonderful in their handling. She got immediate medical care and took me to the hospital and then back to the beach. Natalia was the best tour guide ever.
Our driver and our guide at Olympia were fantastic. I had one on one with the tour guide and I could ask all the questions and she was so easy to talk too. She was extreme knowledgeable and was just great. Our driver took us to a little beach area and a wonderful restaurant. Stayed with us the whole time.
Olympia was amazing. The beach was just okay. The tour guide and driver were wonderful and did an excellent job!
Our driver picked us up at the port on time in a clean car. He was sociable and kind. He talked to us about the area and made sure we got our coveted Gyros! Our tour guide in Olympia was just as amazing! She knew so much about site and as an archeology major, she was able to share more stories and background about the site with us. Her English was great and easy to understand. We saw several other tour groups with 20+ people, but our tour was just our group of 5! Very personal and well worth the investment in the tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn and have a great beach day too!
This was a fantastic tour. My family of 8 adults chose this tour as an excursion when our cruise docked in Katakolon. We felt like we got the best of both worlds with this excursion, as we got to tour Olympia and visit a beautiful beach. The tour was run very smoothly. We were easily able to find the tour company when we came off of the ship. Our guide in Olympia, Saskia, was knowledgeable and kind. My whole family raved about her and her tour. I was impressed by how the tour company would switch off guides for each of our stops but everything was seamless and every guide/driver was lovely. The drive from Olympia to the beach was not too long and the beach area we went to was very nice. There were sun beds and umbrellas available, but we opted to sit in the cafe/bar area to have drinks after taking a dip in the water. I would definitely recommend this tour!
This excursion was fantastic! Olympia is so much more than you expect. The site is really large and there is so much to see. The ride to the beach was beautiful, and the beach was really nice. Bars, food, and restrooms nearby. Professional and good communication with the tour guides.
Despina Aggeli was a wonderful hostess. There were four of us on our tour, it was perfect to be able to be in a small group. Great balance of Olympia and then to cool off at a beautiful beach.
Tour got off to a slow start waiting 30 minutes for a threesome that never arrived which but the whole tour behind schedule which was never made up. Guide was very knowledgeable and Olympia was educational. Beach time was less than an hour so barely time to grab a snack. Beach was okay but subpar to most. Would recommend if you have the entire party and could set the pace of your tour for the group.
Spectacular beaches with beautiful transparent waters. Tasty food, fresh fish, restaurants by the water with beautiful views! Olympia near by with great history, temples, nice museum and the first stadium in the world. Phenomenal experience combining art, culture and relaxing environment for a great vacation!
Great private tour with an intelligent and informed guide and courteous driver for just the four of us. Our guide did not go into the Olympic ruins with us, but she took us to the museum next to the ruins, got us our tickets and then gave us a quick "what to do and expect" near a map and sent us on our way. We didn't mind being on our own and wandered where we wanted and took a bunch of pictures. Our guide answered all our questions in the van during our drive and was truly knowledgeable and friendly. After Olympia, we went on to Kourouta Beach where we had lunch and a dip in the Ionian Sea. The beach was lovely with quaint cafes and umbrellas along the sand. The water was salty and warm. I was able to change into my swimsuit at a cafe bathroom and it was such a peaceful and lovely way to end our tour. We asked to be dropped off at the tourist shops near the port and walked and shopped our way back to the ship. I would highly recommend this over a big bus tour any day.
We did this tour and were very happy. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and patient as we stopped to take pictures all around the site of Olympia. We also were talking about wanting to taste local olive oils and wines, so she made a call and set up a last minute private tasting! I would highly recommend to anyone
Our tour guide- Elana Aggeli was extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. We asked if she could add in (to an already busy tour) a wine & olive tasting event, which she put together in a matter of minutes!!! My wife and I had our 3 children and their spouses/significant others with us, and we all agreed this was the highlight of our trip. I cannot say enough great things about this tour and if given the opportunity again, I would do it all over again. Thanks so much Elana for making our trip to Greece so memorable!
