Here each guest will receive a pre-purchased ticket to enter the location. Once inside the park guests are put into groups and assigned a trained guide who will conduct a brief safety and introductory session before the climb up the falls. The boardwalk along the falls provides easy access for those who wish not to climb to photograph their friends and family so nobody is left out of the fun.
y girlfriend did the climb up the falls, but I just stayed back with the tour guide, had some local cuisine, and cool drinks and followed the group climbing the falls up the stairs. I also went to the bottom of the falls and just relaxed under the cool water of the falls.
Hi we went with the group of 18 people was real fun and very different experience. The guided tour was worth it but did not like the bargain for tips.
I would like to be contacted for a partial refund. I paid $40 for each of my eight family members when we could have purchased online or at the gate for $25 per person. Why did I pay more? An additional $120 for nothing is a bit excessive.
Great experience everyone told us we had to do while in Jamaica. They were not wrong. Our guides were great. Just wish we had taken the time to go up the falls again. We would definitely go back.
As long as you are average fitness this is a fabulous experience. You MUST wear water shoes to complete safely so bring some with you or be prepared to pay more for them there. The guides do a great job taking you up the waterfall . They don’t rush and although they take a photographer with you , they give you plenty of time to take your own and will take photos for you with your equipment too. The falls are amazing and a real sense of achievement when you get to the top. If you don’t want to be harassed by sellers, don’t dawdle through the craft market but if you are prepared to bargain you can get a souvenir or two if you want.
My husband and I took a wonderful Carnival Cruise on the Horizon. For our first port in Jamaica we chose this excursion. When I docked I went excitingly over to meet the bus that would take us to Dunn's River. I kept asking all the port officials where this vendor was located. Finally one of the officials called the operator of the tour and was told that the tour was cancelled. He said there were not enough guest. I looked around at all the cruisers who hadn't booked an excursion and were hopping left and right into taxis to find something to do. If this lazy vendor had at least showed up he would have had plenty of business. Second its extremely poor customer service to cancel the day of an event and provide absolutely no communication. I had to do the leg work to find out my tour was cancelled. I had to then use the phone of one of the officials to make an international call to get my money back since Andre wouldn't or couldn't refund it. Lesson learned. I will never again book this excursion with this vendor. I warn anyone even thinking about this excursion to erase the thought.
Dunn's River Falls was an amazing adventure. When I arrived, I did not know what to expect. We met our guide, whose name I cannot remember. He explained to us what to do such as to hold on to each other. I was the person after the guide, so I was really scared. But, once he said to follow everything he does, I became a little relax. I had a great time!
If we had known that the tour guide takes you up and then you are done we would've done this on our own. You do not really get to enjoy the river because it was a lot of waiting for the others to catch up and we felt like we were being rushed. also the guide and the camera man spoke about their tips a little too much. We bought the dvd which really was not worth the money. It is better you take a water proof camera or phone instead. All in all the place was beautiful and we def would do it again (with no guide)
A must if you are in Mo bay or Negril definitely worth the trip Invigorating waterfalls and a once in a lifetime experience. I do recommend a guide regardless of age. They work by tip only
My children and I had the best time. We climbed twice, spent some time on the beach and enjoyed the splash pad. Spent two hours and enjoyed every waking moment.
Very scenic. Keep in mind it is a waterfall that you climb up in a human chain fashion. Not as interactive as the Blue Hole.
What an amazing beautiful incredible Dunn's River Falls. It was an extremely hot sunny humid day on July 10, 2017. We walked from the top of the entrance area along the Dunn's River Falls to the beach and spent 30 Min enjoying the Beautiful Beach the Ocean water was refreshing and cooled us all down . Then our tour guide lead our group of 9 up the Falls. I believe the Dunn's River Falls are approx. 700 ft from the bottom to the top of the falls. The Tour Guide was awesome getting us all to sing and he was very patient waiting for each one in the group to climb up each level of the falls. We stopped in the rock pools of sparkling clear water and let the water falls splash over us. I honestly felt at the beginning of the tour looking up the falls there's no way I'm going to make it to the top. It took about 1 hour to reach the top of the falls where you can relax in the waterfalls and take a break. I loved the sound of the water rushing by and the sounds of birds, trees and the little creatures along the banks of the waterfalls. Dunn's River Falls was an amazing experience
Hello while you do the waterfall there is a guide and a photographer who at the end of the tour charge you $40 and then lower the price clearly, we pay $30, ask you to provide emails so that they can send your photos but never send. so I do not advise wasting time taking photos with them and buying photo CDs from Jamaica on this tour. that Claudia
I loved it!!!!!! I'd go back anytime! It is not without risk...it takes water shoes and the current is strong enough, but the guide tells you exactly where to put your feet , it knows the fall by heart! Nice place to take pictures but with a waterproof pouch for protection.
