This was a great birthday experience. We were debating between blue hole and dunns river and we felt blue hole was more adventurous, allowing us to jump off of multiple cliffs and waterfalls. It was truly thrilling and very fun. Bob had a great guide - he made us feel safe and was very calm and reassuring, while also funny. We were connected with a guide right when we arrived and took a taxi here as a private driver who waited with us. Also, bring cash because you will want to buy ALL of the photos. The views are so beautiful.
Traveled with my 3 year old in addition to family. The guide was fantastic and took his time to guiding my toddler who even jump into the waterfall! Our drivers were knowledgeable as well giving insight to the island’s history along the drive. Overall an exceptional experience and would definitely recommend. I will be returning!
Blue Hole is a really nice waterfall to visit. Much less crowded than Dunns, and unlike Dunns, great areas to "Jump In". Beautiful and extremely fun. This is a must see.
The blue hole is beautiful and our guide was kind and attentive. We did most of the jumps except maybe the highest one on the rocks. The only bad part of the tour was the photographer that followed us around. We did not ask for this and were not asked if we wanted it- and felt the price for photos was excessive- originally double what we paid at Dunn River Falls We felt it hampered us from taking our own photos. So, if you want to pay $40US for 10 photos then work with the photographer but if you don’t be clear from the start that you don’t want that. Other than that a beautiful day. Be careful where you jump- I was held under the current during one of the very small jumps- but I am a strong swimmer so got out. No one else in our group experienced this though so maybe just a fluke.
Don’t book this tour! They don’t tell you transportation to and from the Blue Hole is not included. You are prompted for pickup location and ship departure time. Very deceptive. Shame on you Viator!
Initial expectations were high as we already did Dunns Falls in 2025. This is a different experience. Lovely waters with some swimming opportunities however very rushed. We were provided a guide after paying entry fee and for a locker. The guide wanted more money which we haggled down. Some othe guy followed us round and took pictures. During the walk up we saw some lovely spots but soon after came back down via several ledges to jump off. All are optional because some are much higher and I avoided them. One i did do and was told to jump slightly to one side, which I did but landed on a rock under the water and grazed my leg badly. Initial concerns subsided and the end of the tour I was given nothing more than ice! Also at the end the camera guy then tried to rip us off for the pictures. Managed to haggle him down but he was incredibly pushy. In my opinion unless you're going as a large group forget it. It's a massive cash cow for what is generally a series of pools.
Ask for Lee!!! He was so respectful, patient & fun! I cannot swim at all and he swam with me, jumped with me & made sure I was safe. I’d 1000% do it again with him!
Lee was the absolute best, I would highly recommend him. He is very accommodating, he goes above and beyond to ensure safety. He is very patient, very respectful, and very efficient. Our group was very pleased with his service.
The scenery, water, and climb along the fall and river was exhilarating, each pool along the way felt great to jump in and experience the cool water temperature and at the top the highest jump to the pool below was amazing.
If you’re a photography enthusiast, this spot in Ocho Rios is truly the best! The waterfall is breathtaking, and of course, a dip or two wouldn’t go amiss :)
Overwhelmed at first but if you have a good taxi driver or tour guide for directions it’s fine. Other than that it’s beautiful and a must do. Our guide javi was amazing assisting our 6 year old in troublesome crossings and the cliff jumps.
The guide TJ was the BEST we could ask for! He made the experience top notch for sure! He was amazing and did some stuff on the trip that was super human! Its a bit of a hike through slippery wet paths. Get water shoes if you can, but not 100% necessary, TJ helped is at every crossing. The whole round trip took around 1.5 hours.

The tour guide was amazing. He actually has family in GA. We live in GA. He guided us up the water fall and provided a photographer.
This was a very exciting first time experience for me. This is the perfect place to go to enjoy nature and get a hands on experience with the help of a guide. I would recommend this to all nature lovers.
Blue Hole was an exceptionally incredible experience! The staff and tour guides were beyond amazing from start to finish. They knew I was afraid and made sure I felt safe every step of the way. They constantly checked on me, encouraged me, and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Because of them, I was able to truly enjoy the experience, and I had so much fun that I already want to come back again — next time with my family! The views, atmosphere, and overall experience were unforgettable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting!
Our guide was a lovely man called Jay, he was so encouraging and supportive with walking on the rocks and jumps. He also went the extra step to take photos and videos on my phone for us which we didn’t expect but massively appreciate as now we have these fun photos and videos to look back on. We went on a Saturday morning and it wasn’t busy at all so we got to take our time going round. Overall this was 10/10, and a big thank you to Jay for being such an amazing guide!
Great experience. Had a lot of fun and enjoyed my time at blue hole will definitely be back. Terrance and Oshaine were great as well as Sam!
Had an amazing time. We were very fortunate there was not many people that day we swung off the ropes jumped off the diving board all in all it was wonderful experience.
Most fun activity to do. Everyone was so sweet and everything was safe.
Great experience. Look for Javi to guide you and make it even better. Brian took some great pics for us. Wonderful community atmosphere and vide at the blue hole.
A must-do if you enjoy some adventure. We checked this out while on a cruise for our excursion (along with Dunn's River Falls). The first section had an area to jump off into the pool and an area to swing from a rope into the pool. Both were fun, though the swing would be a little harder for younger children to reach. Then we went on the nature walk that took us to various other pools where we could jump. Some were smaller jumps (3-4 feet into a pool) and one was closer to 20 feet. They have life jackets for those that struggle with swimming. A guide walks you to the various locations and will hold your things as you do the jumps. Make sure to have some money to tip. They also send a photographer with you to capture some group/family pictures. They will show you the pictures at the end and ask if you want to buy them. If you do, they will download them to your phone. They said $80 to start, but when I pointed out that Dunn's charged $40, they went down to $60, with the selling point that your pictures don't have anybody else in them. There are a lot of vendors along the walk to sell you drinks, food, trinkets, etc. They were not too pushy, but they will try to sell you if you show any interest. You will get a true Jamaican cultural experience with the items that they offer. Some of the jumps were a little out of our comfort zone, but we are glad we did this adventure!
Lots of fun. Jumping into the water. Whose family had fun. The workers were very helpful walking you thru the waters, and especially helpful with our 8 year old. They were efficient and quick. We did this excursion on our Royal Caribbean cruise.
This was such an amazing experience. We had a great time ! The crew was super dope and kind. I would definitely do this again.
Met a lovely cabbie outside the port who recommended Blue Hole to us. We had a right laugh in there with Dane our guide. If you are on a cruise get hold of Alroy Lawrence licensed cabbie 1-876-347-8794. After Blue Hole he took us to Linda’s for lunch and then up to Ocean Ridge Bar. Both superb spots. With him for over 5 hours and he was way too fair with the price. Gave him double. You can trust this guy.
Blue Hole was cool, but I didn't like our Guide. I think you're required to have a guide, but our group of 12 people was unwieldy. The guide insisted on leading us...bringing up the rear...and he carried our non-swimmer on his back. So there was a LOT of waiting. And the waiting is awkward with a 12-person group, just perched on rocks or in the middle of pathways. We were allowed to do each jump once, then move on as a group. I wish we could just jump and swim on our own. Also our photographer (who we never asked for) took some great shots, but tried to scam us with the cost. We eventually negotiated down the price.
After a terrible experience at Dunn’s River we went to Blue hole and it was 10000 times better. The scenery was beautiful. It wasn’t over run by people and felt serene. Our Guide was Kenny and he was wonderful. He was calm and patient with the kids and got the most nervous one to jump. He never rushed us and took amazing pictures and videos of all the different jumps and rope swings. Climbing the stairs to the bus one of the kids got tired and he carried him all the way up. This was an amazing experience and we would go back in a heartbeat. The kids will be talking about the highest jump for years. There are vendors on site but non as pushy and imposing as Dunn’s River. You can also get drinks from little bars along the way. Would definitely recommend this experience.
Amazing experience and great service for the price! Would highly recommend for all ages. Beautiful scenery, water was amazing, only wish we would have made more time to kick back and relax in the water. Make sure you have water shoes.
Our trip to Blue Hole was an amazing experience! I moved through my fear of heights during this tour, while jumping off cliffs and ropes. The beautiful fresh blue waters, fed my soul. Dawson, was an amazing tour guide, he went above and beyond for my family members with a grand finale for my full family to jump (even the smallest resistor at 5yo). He gently encouraged with a smile and even helped me with the slightest nudge to just enjoy the ride as I jumped off the highest cliff. It was so worth it. Thanks Dawson! Visiting Blue Hole has definitely put our Jamaica trip in our family books as a trip of a lifetime!
Greate experience at the blue hole had so much fun greater tourguides professional and dedication I recommend it to you
Weezy was a brilliant guide. We had excellent service from him and he took excellent photos and videos for us. He was patient and made sure we were all ok at all times.
It was a highlight of our week in Jamaica, lots of fun!! our guide was amazing, many of the guides spent their childhood in this area and they know it very well! It was definitely worth the money! Make sure you bring your water shoes or you will have to buy some there.
Booked it online and picked up the ticket at the blue hole location. Excellent customer service. Would recommend
You had to walk over various terrain to get to the hole. Vendors hounding to buy their goods all the way. Quite unpleasant, thought it was pretty - it was rocky and slippery everywhere.
Visiting the Original Blue Hole in Jamaica was an absolute highlight of our trip. We visited in September and on a weekday (Monday) and were the first ones there at 9am, so we had a guide to ourselves. The scenery alone is breathtaking, but what made the experience truly unforgettable was our guide, Shaq. I am very fearful of water, but Shaq went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable, safe, and most importantly—had fun. Shaq was patient, knowledgeable, and had the best energy. He walked us through each jump and swim spot with a little history, encouragement and a great sense of humor, making the adventure both exciting and reassuring. His passion for the Blue Hole and love for sharing it with visitors really showed. The whole tour took us about 1.5 hours, since it was slow season. But, if you’re planning a visit during the busy seasons, then the tour can take up to about 3 hours. If you’re heading to Jamaica, the Blue Hole is a must-do, and if you’re lucky enough to get Shaq as your guide, you’re in for a fantastic time.

My wife, her parents and I had a wonderful trip at Blue Hole last Wednesday. Not only is the place stunning but a reminder of how many gems Jamaica possesses. My in-laws are in their 80's and I have severe mobility issues. However the staff were great in making us feel welcome and not a burden. In particular we must mention Shawn and Devor, They are 2 amazing unpaid young volunteers apprentices who looked after us and helped us traverse the course. I know for a fact that without their help we could not have completed the course or enjoyed the wonderful views. They were both considerate and incredibly patient. A wonderful testament to their parents and the Blue Hole staff.
Our tour guide Wellington was fantastic, he made us feel safe, never rushed and took great photos of us! We came to a resort in Montego Bay for our honeymoon and went here for a day excursion. Definitely worth it, the falls were beautiful and the water so clear and clean. Great vibes.
This was such an amazing experience! We went with a 10 year old, no issues at all for her. The people there are fab, really look after you and your safety with a good sense of humour too! Highly recommend!!
A stunning natural gem! Crystal-clear waters, lush scenery, and refreshing vibes—must-visit in St. Ann. I must do it again sometime soon.
What an amazing place, it’s beautiful. We were guided round by TJ and Marcel, they were amazing with my family and nothing was too much trouble, they took some great photos and videos of our tour. Highly recommend this place for people of all ages.
Amazing!!! Water was SO BEAUTIFUL & Refreshing! Our guide TK was fantastic!! Made our visit a VIP Experience! My Son can't wait to go back!
It was a fabulous experience, well guided by Vernon. There were 9 of us all total that were guided throughout the property and were constantly reassured that all was safe. The guide even offered to jump into the water with me the first time as I was uncertain at first. He helped us to navigate throughout the excursion in this beautiful and natural environment. We were supposed to visit Dunn's River as well this day but after our beautiful morning here many decided that this was well worth it and we skipped the next excursion to Dunn's River
Absolutely beautiful. You don’t have to jump if you don’t want to but even my 5yo had fun jumping and swinging. Well worth the trip especially with the amazing guide we were assigned Tyrone. He was amazing with my daughter and was very attentive insuring the safety of everyone in my party. You can buy fruits and souvenirs as you trek up to the higher jumps.
We had a group of 12 or more with two amazing tour guides! Everyone there even the sweet lady that runs a shopping booth was amazing! By far it was my best experience of my trip. They took time to get everyone’s pictures !! The views are amazing!! Bust do experience when visiting !!
This was a wonderful place. I did not know much about it before we went but it was well worth a visit. We went there as part of a whole day excursion. We were there about two hours. When you arrive, you get allocated a 'guide' who stays with you whilst you go around. They assist you in telling you about the place, in climbing up and over rocks, tell you where to jump - and there are plenty of places to jump into the water there. You could not do this in the UK - health and safety would certainly not allow it. We loved it - some of the rocks and footing can be slippery but your guide will tell you where to walk. More importantly, they will tell you where to jump. At one point he just said "make sure you clear the rocks" as we jumped down! There are sellers there who will try to 'encourage' you to buy stuff and they all say you can choose stuff and pay later. Also, our guide pretty much told us at the end how much to tip him - and he expected a lot. Don't be pressured. By all means our guide deserved a tip - which we gave him - but certainly not the amount he tried to encourage us to give him. It was a lovely place, an unexpected delight and we loved partaking in the jumping and rope swings. If jumping into water from rocks, heights or rope swings is not your thing, then you probably won't get the most from a visit here.
Our guide DAWSON was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond to capture the best angles in our photos, making sure we had memories to match the moment. His calm, cool, and confident energy instantly put us at ease—especially when it came time to take the leap! We couldn’t have asked for a better guide.
A Jamaican hidden gem. Amazing experience. The differents waterfalls is stunning. So funny, you can jump in the fresh water. Guide kept people safe and confortable and respect if someone don't want to jump. Life jacket available. Enjoy your trip!
Romain and Wellington were amazing guides. Kept us safe and entertained throughout the entire tour. Very cool hidden gem!
