Ocho Rios Blue Hole And Dunn's River Falls Tour

Picked up promptly. Lenroy our driver was a great knowledgeable guy, really friendly and chatty. We got to Dunnes River early on a Sunday so it wasn’t too busy. The guide there Oliver was so helpful. It was a hard climb up the falls and not for the faint hearted. But a great experience. Blue hole was really good too, but be ready for more climbing. Riley our guide there was lovely. Overall a great trip with lovely friendly guides.

Really nice excursion. Guides were great and I mean great. It was my favorite excursion on a 10 night cruise. Guides helping people then the people helping people do the falls. Simply great.

Godfrey was a great tour guide. Friendly and made the trip extra special. Even took us to get box food.

Really fun day. Only have had one other group with us and the admission fee is included in the price you pay. I stayed in JA for four days. The crowd at Dunn’s was very small, we had the first tour of the day.

Two exciting activities combined in one tour! The tour guides were awesome. Would highly recommend to able bodied travelers.

I need to start writing people’s names down because I’m not sure exactly how many guides we had. All were very good, but the young guy at Island Gully was unbelievable. He led a group of about 15 of us, from ages 10 to 85 with varying levels of skill, fear, or just old age, up those falls and strongly encouraged those of us who wanted to jump. Honestly, I felt 20 years younger (I’m 66) after I did those jumps, so exciting to be able to do that kind of thing and I gained the confidence because of his leadership. He also continued to keep all of us close to him in a very busy park and my husband tends to stray off. I could go on and on…

We had a lot of fun, it was a great experience overall. Our driver (Lenroy) was very professional as well, and a great tour guide.

Probably the biggest tourist trap in Jamaica. Don’t get me the falls are beautiful but the business they have set up there is specifically designed to rip off tourists. They charge anyone without a residency 25 US dollars to enter and charge the locals literally a couple of dollars. From the moment you enter you are hounded by everyone and then eventually end up being forced into a group tour which I now know isn’t actually required, you can go up on your own. In this group there is a photographer that you have no choice about who says he will take photos for 40 US dollars on his phone. The group is so big that it’s probably actually more dangerous than just going alone as they don’t care for your safety at all. I slipped on a rock and smashed my head hard at the end and all the guide was interested in was how much money I needed to give him for doing his job ?! Then to add insult to injury the photographer that we didn’t ask for or want also insisted on money and was rude when we basically told him to get lost. Neither of them offered first aid. Due to my fall I’d actually slightly lost vision in one of my eyes and had an egg sized lump on my forehead we trying to leave to get out and potentially go to hospital and security we’re trying to force us through the scammy flea market of which we outright refused and was luckily backed by a local Jamaican saying I needed to leave urgently to get help, they reluctantly let me leave through the entrance. As I’ve said the falls are beautiful but it’s just a shame they are running such a horrible scam around it all. Will never be returning and highly recommend to anyone considering not to go.

Great excursion, Lenroy was good company and talk on the journeys. Offered to take us to souvenir shops, get local food and makes you feel comfortable. Tour guides also at Dunns River and Blue Hole are very helpful and welcoming. Jerome & Kealey

Well organised trip with collection from our hotel. Dunns river falls was challenging but the guides were excellent. We had a lot of fun!

Great value an both great tours, very convinient, not as pushy for tips as other reviews suggest, tipped around 10-15$ and they where very greatfull

We climbed the falls which was amazing, Ramoy the photographer was great and captured some really nice memories of my son and I. Dunns river was an exceptional experience but when we got the blue hole we were amazed, it was beautiful, we had a wonderful guide that was giving us facts about Jamaica, he was great. The water was clear blue, there were platforms to jump off and a rope swing, my 14yr old son was in his element. I’m so glad I bought the combo excursion as blue hole is a must in my opinion. Thank you for an amazing time!

Blue Hole Falls is a must Visit when in Ocho Rios. Very beautiful with much smaller crowds than Dunns. A few places to actually DIVE in as well. Easy navigation, as I'm 64 and loved it!

If you're on the fence about booking this excursion, just do it! We had an absolute blast. As two grown adults, we truly felt like kids again for the day! Our driver, Godefroy, was fantastic and made sure we had the best experience from start to finish. The guides at both locations were amazing as well. The guide at the Blue Hole was especially unforgettable. I dont know his name, but he was a young guy who had just gotten braces, and he made the whole experience so much fun! On the drive, Godefroy took the time to show us Jamaican herbs, fruits, and trees while sharing interesting facts about the country and its culture. It made the journey just as enjoyable as the excursion itself!

Such a good experience! Communication was very quick with responses and detailed with information. Our driver Godfrey was very informative of the area. Great experience for first time Jamaica visitors seeking a fun adventure. These excursions do require some sort of physical ability because you will be walking and climbing through water and it can be strenuous. The guides will do everything with you and make sure things are done safely.

Godfrey is the man! It was raining and dunns river falls was closed. The blue hole was open and Godfrey was quick to take us there and then back to Dunns. Without his smart decision we might not have been able to do both! Godfrey saved the day!

This was such a fun day out and I would highly recommend it. Both the Falls and the Blue Hole were so much fun. We were even able to stop for a late lunch at Linda’s afterwards. Remember to bring water shoes with good grip on the bottom and a waterproof cover for your phone. I would also recommend purchasing the photos from the photographers at each place since they are really well done.

This excursion was so much fun for our family of four! The scenery was beautiful, the activities were thrilling, and our guide helped give us the perfect experience!

I think some of the policy of pricing need to be change. Go there with my family and my wife have to pay extra in US because she doesn’t have a Jamaican, ID I think it was messed up that she was the only one to pay us$25 just to enter when she's with her family. That did not make me feel good to even support the locals selling merchandise inside because I used that to not to buy stuff from them even when I wanted to because of the dishonesty , I feel like we get robbed that we have to pay in Jamaican dollars And she has to pay in u s I know this will fall in deaf ears, but if a foreigner is with their family from any state or country, they should able to pay the same rate as their family entering, she was not a tourist. We have a great time though , but we could have spent more money with the locals if it wasn't for entry price.

Viator has EXCELLENT that people that represent them as hosts. Mr. Craig was BRILLIANT AND OUTSTANDING, as a representative of Junta Tours! Dunn's River Falls and the Blue hole are MUST-DO'S when you visit Jamaica! Viator really made this excursion enjoyable and easy! You all kept in touch with me, consistently and were very kind.

Overall, the activities were great as expected at the Dunn River and the Blue Hole, except when we asked the driver taking us to a local restaurant for lunch, he took us to a "tourist trap" restaurant which name Linda's. They have a separate menu for tourists with US dollar listed only and the prices are up to sky. We ended up let the Kids ate only. It ruined our mood since then.

Wear swimwear, be prepared for the salesman after. Great time, the wife and I loved this tour. Guides and driver were super nice. Made it that much more enjoyable. If you don’t want to get wet this isn’t for you.

Beautiful scenery. The falls were so nice, perfect temperature. It's definitely not for the weak, very physical. The guides were amazing with helping to navigate everyone safely through. Godfrey our tour guide was exceptional as well.

Good amount of walking and hiking! Wonderful experience! Woukd recommend 10/10 for any one just not any small kids prolly 7 and under and the hike up the waterfall

We had so much fun! There was a long line for the falls but it moved pretty fast. Our guide Devin and our photographer Fabian were excellent! They showed us exactly how best to navigate the falls and got some great photos. Definitely buy the photo package and try to remember to bring your waterproof phone case. If you forget they sell them for $10. Definitely bring grippy, sturdy water shoes. The water is cool and refreshing and the views are amazing! My whole family had a blast. The blue hole was our favorite part of the day. We jumped off cliffs 4 times and got to swim in the giant blue hole. The waterfalls were beautiful and , once again, our falls guides saved the day. It is optional to do any of the jumps but, take it from a scaredy cat, you should jump! Our driver Lenroy took us to Lynda’s Restaurant to eat after for traditional Jamaican food- so tasty. We then went shopping in a little souvenir shop. Lenroy did say they he had fun with our group because he is normally done by 2 pm and we didn’t get finished up till 5!

This is a great excursion. Blue hole is amazing. Dunn’s River Falls were crowded but fun to ascend. Our guide Christine was amazing and kept us informed and pointed us to the right shops for shopping and food. We didn’t feel pressured but and had a great time. Made it back to the ship on time!

Kool tours was perfect. Made us aware in advance of all details regarding pick up. The driver Godfrey was great. The actual excursions themselves were amazing especially blue hole & a huge adrenaline rush! Guides on dunns river and blue hole were good fun & keep you safe throughout the activity. For blue hole you deffo want to be comfortable cliff diving but there’s various heights that start really small

My first experience was to be caught up in false advertisement regarding the pick up from my hotel. After booking, much later I got an email informing me I would have to make alternative arrangements or pay $150 USD more to be picked up from my hotel, I was outside of the window to cancel with refund there was no communication for a long time with the local organizer of alternative pick up time at Hotel Riu or Hotel Eden Bay but repeated statement of no refund, and then an offer to change date to be allowed to pay for the pick up (because that arrangements had to be made 24 hours prior to the pick up time). We eventually had to make personal arrangement to get to the activity. Dishonest! The site should have stated from the beginning no pick up from this site and not send confirmation that pick up is confirmed and later say it is not at my site, when this was clearly indicated. I am a very planned and organized individual, so one can imagine how this series of events evoked a great measure of unsettling emotions at play ... and on my birthday! Not what I expected. Not what I planned. The activity itself - I had fun, I planned to enjoy myself and I did. I am happy I was able to get to Dunn River Fall with my own transportation. I believe a refund of some kind would be appropriate .

Overall best experience I’ve had at this type of attraction. The vibe, the energy, the staff, the weather, the excitement all came together to create a fun memorable experience I’ll never forget. My girlfriend and I truly enjoyed ourselves and were like kids at a playground once we arrived lol. To start we both signed up for the zip line tour, but I was the only one that went because of helmet issues. I want to say one of the zip line members name is was Duncan but there was two of the guys who made the experience that much. It was workout but would do it again and again if given the chance. Then came the falls. She and I had a blast climbing it!!! She was a little scared on the first go as we did not use a guide but climbed at our own risk (wouldn’t do it any other way) and we made it to the top twice. Second go she was climbing like a pro. I love activities like this because I’m an adventurer at heart so this is a highlight of the trip. I could climb it again and again if allowed lol. Highly recommend anyone who’s debating on doing this or not…it’s one of those experiences you’ll never forget. I love everything about the falls and I’ll be back soon!

Godfrey was amazing! He had great suggestions and had us back to the ship in plenty of time! Our guys at the falls were just as amazing. We had Stucky as our guide and Craig was our photographer/ videographer. We were so impressed by their ability to remember everyone’s individual names. We paid for the pictures and they were totally worth it!

The good thing about this company is you can trust them . We had booked to go to Dunns river and the blue hole , but the blue hole was closed so they promised to come back the next day and take us which they did !

Beautiful scenery and it was really different climbing up the waterfall. Guide Randy was great and our driver Craig was also exceptional. He gave us some history on the way from the resort to the park and back. Highly recommend. We made the best of it but be aware that some people in your group will be slower than others. It is a strenuous climb at times.

Really fun active excursion. Since the boat excursion was sold out, we looked into other options, and this one looked good. I’ll start by saying if you’re not relatively nimble on your feet or if you’re not comfortable around the water, then this one’s not for you. There is a lot of walking through rapids, stepping on rocks. Our guides were great, Godfrey was our driver, and at Dunns River Falls we had Trevor Williams and photog Robert. At the Blue Hole we had Courtney and another guide who was a powerhouse. The guides were fun and did their best to keep us safe. Only issues we had were at the port finding our shuttle, they had our name on a list but told us to wait and basically forgot we were there. By the time they sent us to the bus (about 20 minutes in oppressive heat) everyone else was the bus and they squeezed us in. Also, there are a lot of non-tour people trying to sell you stuff, so keep your head down and keep walking. No handshake, and DO NOT let them put objects in your hand! You’re welcome, now go have FUN in Jamaica mon!

The driver did a good job. What I didn’t like and it’s probably not the driver’s fault is at the falls and the blue hole constantly requesting tips. I was going to tip anyway, but all the guides we had blatantly told us we needed to tip them and I didn’t care for that.

Both the blue hole and the dunn falls hike was just amazing. For the blue hole do ask for lido "the babysitter" as your guide. He was amazing, with a our group where we had kids from 7 to 12, and some with fear of jumping into water. He was patient and made sure we had fun. Our tour driver was very informative and took good care of us. Showing us some good spots for food, shopping and giving us time to do each of the two experience at our own pace. Over all recommend for everyone.

Our driver, Lenroy took excellent care of us the entire trip. He made sure we were comfortable, assured us he was on our time and was very patient. As he drove us he showed us places in Ocho Rios and told us the history of the place. He also made sure we weren't charged more than regular fee for the pictures at Dunns River. While Dunn's River was beautiful, the guide left us to our own devises. Obviously that has nothing to do with our driver, but it still sucked. We had a good time because we made it so. Blue Hole was smaller but the guys took much better care of us there. Paid attention to our safety and helped us have a good time. All in all excellent experience because of Lenroy, the beauty of Dunn's River and the guys at Blue Hole.

Our driver, Lennroy was informative, funny, and a good promoter of his country. He is a valuable asset to his company and we enjoyed our tour with him.

The guide at Dunn River was excellent. Mr T went above and beyond! Blue Hole needs to buy new life jackets. They were in poor shape.
