Horseback Riding, Shopping And Lunch

Enjoyable excursion! Our tour guide, Tillea, was exceptional along with our driver Ray. They both kept out group engaged during travel time with history and trivia about Jamaica. Time allowed for each stop was good, at no time did we feel rushed. Good luck to Tillea on her studies and future aspirations.

We had an amazing experience with our driver, Kanstanstine, from Courtney Taylor Tours. He drove us to and from our horseback riding excursion and truly went above and beyond. On the way, he gave us a nice tour of Jamaica, took us shopping, and even stopped so we could get authentic local food. He spent a lot of time with us, was very kind, patient, and professional, and made the whole experience feel personal and special. We really appreciated his hospitality and would definitely recommend him!

Our driver was so sweet and attentive. She was very knowledgeable with the area and took good care of us. Our guide for the horseback was sooo entertaining. He walked with us all the way through. He made the experience 10x more enjoyable

The tour company delivered the tour as advertised. The poor horses looked thin and over worked. We had trouble walking over the stone riddled paths god knows how the horses stay upright. Our guide with the horses offered to take pictures on his phone and would send them over via WhatsApp. As we we’re afraid of dropping our phones in the sea. He showed us some nice pictures and we gave him $20. This couldn’t have been enough as the pictures never arrived. The market was a souvenir shop. And lunch was a jerk chicken meal in a bag as they had to rush back to pick up the other half of the group they had left bamboo rafting. No white beaches, bullied horses, don’t believe the pictures on the adverts.

Shawn was super cool and went the extra mile for us! The guides were funny and made sure that we were safe in the horses. Would recommend!

Our tour guide Jodie was really nice and so was driver Aidiran. It was disappointing that we didn’t go to the local native shops but instead a shop that had more Jamaican items not made in country and not Jamaican owners. The shopping consisted of stopping at 1 store. We then had to sit in van while another couple went in a separate excursion. We have had much better luck with Chukka and will being doing all Chukka excursions in the future.

This one was not very organized, we went horseback riding, then we went to one store to shop, the off to lunch, while they dropped other couple off to raft, then stopped for drivers lunch, back to wait and get the rafters and the stop to get their lunch, they had to eat in van.

Went with Horseback riding with Adrian as the tour guide. He was prompt on arrival and made sure our riding session started on time to make sure all guest were able to get to their other activities on time.

The jerk chicken lunch was amazing. The driver and guide were fun and good. The horseback riding on the other hand in my opinion was a disappointment. Our guides Keven and Kyle were amazing and went out of their way to try to make the experience better. In my opinion, the ride was too guided and too short. You go down a short path to the water just so you can take pictures and walk back. I would’ve like more riding and especially some trotting at least. Other horseback riding excursions I’ve done in Jamaica. We were able to take the horses in the water and swim with them and trot with them which was more fun and enjoyable.

This excursion was not well organized. No fault to our driver but the direction he was getting from the office was a mess. First he told us that we needed to change cars and go with a different driver. After about a 20 minute ride we ended up at the "office". Get out, go in, only to be told he will now take us. We proceeded to turn around and go 20 minutes back the way we just came to go to the horses. Then he tells us he is going to drop us off and someone else would pick us up. I was not happy as that left us nowhere to leave our things while riding horses through the water. Then he said he would stay with our things until we were done, then we would go with someone else. He waited and then said nevermind we will still go with him. He took us to shop and lunch then dropped us off at the beach. There was no stop at the rainforest which honestly, I was just over the whole tour by this point. The horse stop was sad, they looked not well taken care of and the beach was dirty. Again, our driver was nice and dont blame any of this on him, but I would not recommend this tour as it was not as decribed and chaotic from start to finish.

We had a great guide! I forget her name but she was so sweet and funny! My parents are from Jamaica and I’ve been meaning to go back so this was a nice way to do that. I went with my boyfriend. The horse riding was fun and they got some great pictures. Gift shop was cool (I bought a delicious bottle of rum) and then the jerk chicken , rice, and festival was INCREDIBLE. Had a great time!

Beautiful water and a calm breeze while you ride on horseback through the waves. My daughter had wanted to ride a horse on the beach in Jamaica and she was not disappointed at all! Our guide was pleasant and helpful during the whole trip.

It was an awesome experience for our three generation trip to Jamaica! We had a wonderful time from the time we got in the ride with our tour guide, Rajaye! He was so friendly, such a gentleman, and shared alot of history with us about Ocho Rios, Jamaica! We were so comfortable with him and felt safe! We had so much fun riding the horses. I rode Rolex! Our guides at the horseback riding never left our side! They kept us safe! My guide was Kevoy! My mom had Calvin. She rode Charlie. Please book this excursion in the future for your vacation! You won't be disappointed. If you want to have an experience of a lifetime and make memories, please ask for Rajaye! You won't be disappointed!

Although the horse starting getting aggressive and almost threw me in the water “Something must have touched its leg and started it”. I would do it all again. The shop and the Jerk Chicken was amazing. Thanks Kev for the Guide.

Had a great time, driver Karlus was on time and informative. Good driver. Horseback riding was nice, had my own guide who was knowledgeable, made me feel safe on the horse. Shopping was good the free rum Samples was a plus !

we had Jody and Karl-Lyton as our drivers and they were very professional and nice! we stopped to shop before horseback riding, and got lunch after! Definitely tons of fun!!

The horseback in the ocean was amazing. First time in water with horses. The guides took excellent pictures and a lot of them. Lunch at Linda's was a great spot to stop after being in the sun .... Would do it again with my family....

Horse back riding was lovely - guides were very kind, patient and helpful even took pictures for us. Courtney tour guides (Nordia and Anthony) were great, told us a bit about Jamaica and even accommodated us when we wanted to stay back and enjoy our jerk chicken while they went to another location to pick up others from another excursion. Overall everything was wonderful. Only slight negative was the “shopping” it was just a quick stop at a local gift shop that we had already been to on another tour but that did not stop us from buying more rum 😉.

It was amazing, the 45 minutes didn’t last it went so fast! I think we should have more time with the horses. But other than that it was a great experience with my friend. Nordia was a great tour guide and Antony was a great driver

Great tour! We had a great experience with our guide Karlus. He gave us some history of the area as we were riding to the horses. Once there, everyone hopped on the horse and had a guide with them the entire time, so for anyone that's never been on a horse, rest assured that they make sure you're safe. We went for a brief ride into a jungle, along the beach, and into the water. It was about a 20-25 minute experience. Only my feet and ankles ended up getting wet. The guide took lots of pictures with my phone which was great, and there was no one pressuring you to buy professional photos. Afterwards we went to a shopping plaza to buy souvenirs. You are encouraged to haggle, though, truth be told, all of the prices are marked up so high that the 50% off that they offer you is really just giving you what the items should actually cost. Just something to be aware of. Anywho, that was a brief stop, and then we went to eat. We had a very healthy portion of either jerk chicken or jerk pork, rice and peas, and a small salad. Karlus even made a stop afterwards for Devon's House iScream.

Horseback riding felt safe and easy for beginners. Food was good. Shopping was quite the experience. Karlus our driver was very informative and taught us a little about jamaican history.

Samantha our guide was awesome. Omar our driver was great. The Horseback riding and the guides were really good the lunch was good. The flea market shopping was a horrible experience. The stalls are about the size of a tiny closet and then they stand in doorway they all had the same stuff and badfered you to buy even if not interested I bought bag there and on the inside says "made in China ". It will make you claustrophobic on the items we all mass produced and way over price. Very pushy won't take no for an answer

The tour guide was very knowledgeable, and the horsemen were great. Lunch was tasty, and the shopping trip was a nice touch. One of my party left his phone at the market, and the coach operator was nice enough to retrieve it for him. I would definitely use this tour company again!

The tour was too expensive and unorganized. Our driver was a sweet man, but his his assistant never introduced herself and told us very little about the area. When we got to the horseback riding, they were not ready and said come back in an hour. So we went to a souvenir store that was way overpriced and unfriendly. After that we went back to the horseback riding venue. That part was fun and memorable! Next we went to lunch. Mine was good, but my friend's was too dry for a good piece of jerk chicken. Also they told us we would have rice and beans with our jerk chicken, but that was not ready (after noon!) After that, the other people on the tour wanted to go to the beach, so Reggie, the driver dropped them off then took us to another souvenir shop where we had to bargain to get the high prices a bit lower. Then he dropped us off at the ship. We felt like our tour was really cut short and not a good value.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable, the horse ride was not stressful for me or the horse. Lunch was tasty and shopping was fun.

20 out of 10! Jodie and Carlos were great tour guides, the best and most fun guides we had all week. Had great food and riding the horses in the sea was magical.

This is a kid, friendly, family fun excursion I would highly recommend! Our driver, Carlos was great. He told us a lot of information about the area and history of Jamaica also took us to a really great food spot. Only reason why I didn’t get five stars was because we felt like both activities were kind of short. We might’ve spent 20-30 minutes on the horse and 15-20 minutes on the raft.

My tour was exceptional, my first time horse back riding and I love it, our tour guide did an amazing job setting up everything for us and in addition to that, me and my family got a little history about jamaica. Our lunch was so good it was better than the food in the hotel, Courtney Taylor Tours know the local spots to take you, and shopping was also great, overall, my wife and the kids had a memorable trip and some souvenirs to take home, on my next trip, I'll be using there amazing service again.

Our tour guide Rajaye was awesome! He really made everything efffortless. It was our first time in Jamaica with the family he picked us up at the resort gave us tips and recommendations! Rajaye is an awesome driver and made us feel safe! I would ask for him again!
