Dunn's River Falls And Blue Hole Combo Tour From Ocho Rios & Runaway Bay

Our driver was awesome. He was early to pick us up and we arrived at Dunn’s River Falls before anyone else had arrived. We climbed the falls alone and without a guide. Amazing once in a lifetime experience. Blue Hole also was amazing - a short walk to waterfalls and cliff jumping. FYI, a guide is required at Blue Hole so bring tip money. Water shoes are also a must!

We had such a great experience with Jacques Tours! They picked us up right at the port, very convenient! Wayne was our guide, he was kind, friendly, and went the extra mile to go above and beyond to make our excursion fun! The falls were beautiful and so fun to climb! We loved cliff jumping in blue hole, thrilling and amazing! We are a family of 6, with kids ages 21 down to 12. Definitely would book with Jacques Tours again! Thanks for a great excursion!!

We had an excellent day with our driver, Wayne! We would highly recommend Jacques Tours to anyone. I didn’t want to miss the iconic Dunn’s River Falls or the Blue Hole, but I had seen photos of massive lines of people and did not want to be herded off of a bus just to climb up the falls in a line of people and be herded back onto the bus. The private tour was well worth the money for a peaceful day at our leisure! We didn’t realize on arrival that our ship had arrived a half hour early, and so did Wayne! He wanted to make sure we had time to see everything we wanted to see. The information staff called him on arrival with no delay, so no need for a local SIM. Wayne took us to the Blue Hole, as he arrived before Dunn’s River even opened, and we were one of the first few people there, which was amazing. The local guide (not part of Jacque Tours) was extremely informative and helpful, and I was glad we had enough time for him to show us the local flora and fauna. After the Blue Hole, we went to Dunn’s River Falls, where Wayne suggested the perfect amount of time for us to spend there (45 minutes longer than group tours). We did not want to climb up with a group and we were able to walk and swim in the falls at various points, take lots of pictures, and spend a good amount of time swimming and playing at the beach. I felt badly for the groups who were brought down the stairs and spent absolutely no time at all at the lovely beach. Prior to the tour, I had inquired about the possibility of adding a stop, depending on how we (particularly the kids) felt after the first two stops. The owner replied to my messages in just minutes and was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to decide on the day of the tour whether or not to add another stop, for a very reasonable price. We ultimately decided not to add the third stop, but it was amazing to have the option with no pressure whatsoever. If we ever return to Jamaica (and I hope we do), we would for sure go with Jacques Tours, as I can’t imagine a better experience!

Great communication. Everything exactly as advertised. Our guide, Wayne, with Jacques Tours Jamaica, was the kindest, most helpful driver. When we arrived to the port from our Norwegian cruise ship and called, he arrived promptly. While all of the other cruise passengers were loading up on huge tour buses, we took off for Blue Hole. We arrived before everyone else and enjoyed the ENTIRE experience start to finish before anyone else even arrived. Cortney, our guide at the falls, took us through each pool and guided my 18 year old son who was jumping. He made sure to take photos of us at every stop, kept each one of us safe, and even carried my ten year old over some areas he was afraid to cross. After that experience, we asked Wayne to take us to his favorite jewelry store to do some shopping, and he happily made a quick detour. Next was Dunn’s River Falls, where he cut us loose to climb the falls alone, or with one of the guides there. Three of us climbed, while the fourth walked the adjacent path and took videos of us. We made it to the top! It was pretty physically demanding- you really need to climb and navigate some strong water currents. Note that if you forget your water shoes, there are vendors selling them for $15 at the port right as you arrive, or you can even buy them super last minute at the falls itself. So if you forget shoes, don't let that keep you from going. My 18 year old insisted on doing Dunn’s with no water shoes “because they look stupid,” but it’s very slippery, and I wouldn’t recommend it. He struggled at times but made it fine. Wayne brought us back to port in more than enough time and we said our goodbyes. Everything was truly fantastic, and I’d recommend Wayne, this Jacques Tours Jamaica, and this excursion without a bit of hesitation. Try it! Have fun!

We had the best time!! We had Wayne as our guide/driver. He is the absolute best!! We also did the river tubing with Dunns and Blue Hole. We felt safe the entire time. Wayne took us to a local restaurant for lunch and it was delicious!! He told us about different parts of Jamaica and its history. Our excursions were more affordable thru them than the resort!! I highly recommend using Jacques Tours Jamaica!!

Great experience. A bit more activity at the Blue Hole than we expected. It was advertised as a relaxing dip in the blue hole with cliff jumping and rope swings. It was a long hike through the jungle to a guided jumping and rope swing. No time to relax at all.

We've done lots of tours in Jamaica and this was by far our favorite. Our driver picked us up at our resort, and it was a quick trip to the falls. We arrived before the crowds and had the entire place to ourselves. We had the option to have a guide, but bypassed it to explore on our own. Every other time we've went with a large tour/group. We were able to hang out as long as we wanted before going to the Blue Hole, which was also great. If you want to see the falls, this is the way to do it!

We had THE BEST time on this excursion today at Dunns river falls and The Blue Hole. Jacques kept in communication providing us with all of the meet up and timing info. Our driver Wayne made our family of 8 with young kids feel very safe, watched over our belongings in the van while at the attractions, and even stopped at a Jamaican restaurant for us to have lunch. We loved riding with him. Wayne also hooked us up with the best guides at both of the attractions. The guides helped our family navigate the rocky terrain and physically challenging parts. They both also took tons of family photos and made our experience unforgettable!! Please tip these guides and drivers, we didn’t realize how much of an asset they would be before we started the tour, so plan to bring extra cash for guides at each of the places, as well as your driver.

From beginning to end, Jacques kept in constant contact with me, responded immediately to any questions or concerns, and runs a very organized tour company. Our guide Wayne was amazing! My sons loved his humor and all the interesting tidbits of information he provided throughout the drive. I have read tons of great reviews about Wayne and now I see why - he truly loves Jamaica and shares his enthusiasm with his guests! He took us to the Blue Hole first which was brilliant since we got there before the crowds! It was beautiful! But our family favorite was Dunn’s River - what an exhilarating experience we will all remember! We did it without a guide and managed just fine. For Blue Hole we were assigned 2 guides for our family of 4. After our tour, we asked if we could stop to buy some Jamaican local food to go and the Oxtail we got was delicious! Honestly cant get over the rudeness and pushy attitude for tips. To tell us we booked and the company takes all the money and doesn’t pay them. That’s clearly a lie but that was everyone’s begging m.o

Great time and tons of fun. Great photos and an experience my kids and I will always remember. The guides were great and very friendly, take care of them as that is how they make there living. Our driver was great, friendly and safe. He stayed with us and said we are on our time not his so take your time and enjoy everything.

We only wanted to do one excursion during our stay, and I think we chose the perfect one. We had no personal recommendations, so basically just went to TripAdvisor and searched for a company that would pick us up from our resort (Bahia Principe in Runaway Bay). We took a leap of faith with this Jacques Tours combo tour and we were all glad we did. Possibly our best day during our trip to Jamaica! After booking via Tripadvisor/Viator, Jacques Tours immediately reached out via text and email to confirm driver details, pickup location, and time of pickup. Our driver Nigel was right on time to pick us up, and a really great guy and guide for the entire day. Super friendly and talkative, we all had a great time in the car and he helped us learn more about Jamaican culture and more while driving us around. To clarify, this tour just TAKES you to Dunn's River Falls and Blue Hole (Island Gulley Falls) and then passes you off to a tour guide for those places. Your driver will wait while you spend time at those spots, and then take you to a lunch at a nearby place on the way back down from Blue Hole. The lunch was alright, but honestly not as good as what was on the resort, even for local specials, so you're probably fine skipping it if time doesn't allow. Be prepared - both of these spots are pretty physical so you'll need to be in decent shape and well-prepared with a waterproof phone case and good water shoes, but otherwise very accessible. HIGHLY recommend this exact tour with this company - we felt like we had the perfect extra Jamaican experience off our resort. Experience with Jacques Tours was great, and our driver Nigel was incredibly personable and friendly and made our day much better.

This was the most memorable excursion of my trip! Dunn's River Falls was so much fun and beautiful. The beach next to the falls was warm and inviting. I would recommend this trip to everyone. Shout out to our Bus driver, Wayne; he was awesome, fun, friendly, and the best driver. I would book this driver anytime I go back to Jamaica.

We had a great experience touring the Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls with Jacques Tours. There was great communications before the tour. Our ship docked at the undeveloped, secondary pier, but we were still able to find our driver Daron almost immediately. He was friendly and a very safe driver. Our family of four were the only people on the tour, which was nice. We first went to the blue hole, where a local guide took us up the falls to our first jumping spot. We made several jumps and a swing into various pools of water. The Blue Hole was nice and it was not crowded because we arrived early and before the other crowds. Next we went to Dunn's River Falls. The place was very busy, but Daron seemed to have connections and was able to get us our wrist bands and took us straight to the start of the climb without having to wait in large groups like the other tourists. The falls were beautiful, but extremely crowded. After completing the climb with a local guide, Daron was waiting for us when we exited the water and then took us safely back to the port. We really enjoyed the personalized service we received from Jacques Tours, especially when we saw the overwhelmingly large groups being herded on the bus tours. Highly recommend Jacques Tours and Daron as your driver.

We were met by our driver Wayne just outside the port exit. We had our own van for our family and no one else! Wayne drove us to Blue Hole first where we met our guide Xavier. We got there and it appeared they just opened because it was so peaceful with hardly any tourists! We loved that! He guided us up the falls, took photographs and videos with my phone that were fantastic! Wayne then drove us to Dunn River Falls, assisted with getting our wrist bands and let us know when to meet at the van. Our family hiked up the falls on our own in record time as Wayne put it! Be aware of the people(vultures) who successfully conned us into buying wooden turtles for our children after they engraved our names in them. We didn’t see until later they attempted prior because we found another name on two of them. We requested jerk chicken on the way back so he made a special stop for us, unfortunately they wanted to charge us a fortune just for the chicken so we went back to our cruise ship. Wayne and the tour guide Xavier went above and beyond for us and it showed! We definitely recommend the tour, our entire family loved it!

It was an amazing experience all around. Our driver Wayne was so wonderful. At dunes our guide Moses was so great and kept us all safe and Javier at Blue Hole was so friendly, fun and knowledgeable. This is a must do experience for all ages.

This is a great experience. You will get Wet ! Beautiful scenery. Our driver Doron was very friendly and made our trip very enjoyable.

Our driver, Darrin, was fantastic. He kept us safe and gave us pointers to avoid hagglers. The vehicle was clean, Darrin provided local information and history. We hiked up the falls without a guide but needed to watch other groups to follow the safest route. At the blue hole, we were assigned an amazing Life Guard who pushed our comfort zones to experience thrilling jumps and rope swings from the falls. A lot of fun. Great for adventurous families with fair/good physical abilities.

Currently at the Riu Ocho Rios and we’ve been on 3 excursion with Jacques Tours Jamaica to Bob Marley’s house at 9 mile and dunn’s river & bamboo rafting down the white river. Jacques tours were such a fantastic company with lovely drivers. Ours were Darron & Wayne who were on time everytime and very reliable. There prices for excursions were fanatic and were fair. They supplied us with cold water after the falls which was needed and also offered to take us shopping. We did actually go shopping the once in Ocho town and darron also took us to scotchies for some food which was delicious and at no extra charge. I would highly recommend this company for any tours you would like to go on. I will definitely be using them again when I return to Jamaica 🇯🇲

Basically paying for personal driver to both attractions - along with entrance fees. Service was on time, van was OK - could be cleaner, but it was fine. and the guide was friendly. No issues at all. Was first group at Dunns River Falls - no cruise ship in port that day. Had to wait for a few more people to fill out the group. Fun excursion. Blue hole was more adventurous - jumping off clifs and ropes into pools of water. Be careful because I have a feeling that my famiy of 3 were given 2 guides - probably because they saw our wristbands for our hotel. 2 guides = 2 tips. 1 guide was more than sufficient for 3 people Overall - I am glad we used this service. Would book them again - for convenience, safety, and service.

Our driver was Wayne Buchanan. He came with a van on time to pick up just our family of four and drove us around for both tours. He gave us very good tour of the town of Ocho Rios, explaining everything on the way! Going to Dunn falls early in the morning was an amazing experience! No crowds at all! It’s once in a lifetime experience , everyone who’s in Jamaica should do it! Blue hole is for peeps comfortable in water and is so much fun. Wayne even took us to eat Jamaican jerk chicken at Scotchies, best chicken ever ! I highly recommend this tour - very personable, straightforward, safe and memorable! Thank you Wayne!

This was my second time booking with Jacques and I must say he has elevated the tour experience. I did both blue hole and the famous Dunns River and trust me guys it is worth the money and time. If you are doing a half a day or one day stop in Ocho Rios this makes more sense. Jacques was very prompt and professionally in his responses to me and answered every single question I had. Jervis was our driver and was an amazing tour guide, he really maintained proper covid protocol the entire trip. He wore his mask and constantly sanitized his hand...... I am now a forever customer

We have used Jacques multiple times on 3 separate trips! He and staff are courteous, helpful, on time and safe drivers. We have been picked at airport, transported to resort, Blue Hole, Dunn's River Falls, and anything else we want to do! Shopping, Zipline, best prices and best places. He advised us even before travelling, what we needed to do for COVID to travel to Jamaica.

Great Excursion!!!! Dunn’s River was extremely exciting. Everyone was overly nice. Especially the Tour guide.

First and foremost communication with Jacques was responsive, clear, and concise. He did not pressure me to book any excursion, as other providers who I had contacted for information had done. There were seven of us altogether and we booked a tour to Dunn's River Falls, Blue Hole, and a stop for lunch. The price included all transportation and entrance fees to the falls and blue hole. Meeting up with our driver was slightly anxiety producing, as there are so many people as you come off a cruise ship trying to sell you something. Our guide was down the very end of the road that leads into the port. We eventually met up and were quickly on our way. Jarvis was our driver for the day. He was a kind man and a safe driver. Our first stop was Dunn's River Falls - OMG they are amazing!!! There were a few vans already there in the parking lot and many more pulling in as we arrived. Jarvis coordinated our entrance and we were able to bypass the long lines and all the crowds to enter. We then went to where we were going to get matched up with a guide. There was some confusion here, but it ended up for the best - as the seven of us climbed the falls on our own without an assigned guide. There are staff members periodically placed throughout the falls that will point you in the right direction. There were only 4 - yes 4 people (2 couples) ahead of us. There was no one else except a couple of safety guides on the falls. We had them to ourselves! It was amazing. We took our time and climbed the falls, took pictures, and had fun. Jarvis was waiting for us at the end of the tour and took us to our next stop. NOTE: Leave everything in the van - do not take anything down to the falls with you (towel) and wear water shoes (Not flip flops). Blue Hole was so much fun, but not what we expected. Our expectation was to see a large calm and serene swim area to lounge about with several places to jump in from. Instead we got a high energy and invigorating experience. Jarvis once again took care of our tickets and facilitated a quick and easy entrance. We were paired with a guide who was absolutely amazing!! (I believe his name was Dante). He was assuring, encouraging, and very helpful to a few members in our party who were scared or not as certain to do the various jumps. Dante took us up to the top of the fall area and proceeded to guide us down, section by section, jumping from rocks at various heights. We then did a huge jump off a platform, a rope swing, and then a jump from another extremely high point. I didn't do the last one - I was too scared, but my eight-year-old did it!! Stop for lunch - we requested a stop for lunch and Jarvis brought us to a place that serves local food. Although the meal I had was seasoned well, the chicken was completely dry....but the drink I had made it okay. We had a little extra time left so Jarvis offered to bring us to a place "where the locals shop" that has the best prices. He drove us into a small mall area with signs such as "best place for cruise shoppers," "Duty-free." Jarvis introduced us to one of the women in the shop as "La-la" and that she was going to take care of us, give us a discount, and not charge us any tax. This frankly was a farce, as there was no tax anyways and there was no discounting on the prices anymore than the typical haggling. This did not appear to us to be a place were locals stopped - there were many other vans there transporting cruise guests in and out of the area. Jarvis then returned us safely to port with some time to spare. Overall the attractions we visited were amazing, the customer service was great, and the communication with Jacques was stellar. The only cons of this trip was the lunch and "local shopping," This didn't knock down my rating though, as those were extra stops on our trip and not specific. Lastly, Jamaica is a country that appears, at least the areas we saw, as rundown and unkept. The infrastructure (roads and buildings) are poor. The area looked dusty and dirty. However, the people we met and the places we visited were not like that at all. Jamaican's we encountered were pleasant, laid back, and joyful!

Punctual Private Friendly Informative Funny Good and safe driver Really suggest to do all the tours with jacques tour since you can do whatever you want. He will put together the tour thats fits. And it is even cheaper an better than the ones from thw big organizations. Futhermore we were everywhere almost alone since Jacque also suggested days that are optimal when no cruise ships are in port etc.

I wasn't too sure about booking outside of the hotel's excursion company but I am so glad I did. I chose to book with Jacques and Jervis was so nice and professional. He even took us to shop and to eat lunch by our request. We were able to choose what kind of food we want and he chose a great local restaurant. Best food we had all vacation long. Also, since we booked with Jacques we didn't have to stop at soooo many other hotels on the way to the excursion and back like you do when you book with hotel. We had more freedom and Jervis stayed in the parking lot at each location. He brought water and beer, and the van was comfy. The Dunn's River Falls and Blue Hole combo is so perfect.

I won't be able to say enough in this review about Jacques and his sister!! I didn't want to do a run of the mill hotel tour on their timeline and their itinerary. I found Jacques on the internet and after a lot of research and tons of reviews we chanced it. Jacques responded immediately and was happy to accommodate the Blue hole and Dunn's river. There were four of us two adults and two teenagers. We were picked up in an air conditioned clean van promptly at 8am. On our way to Dunn'd River we were entertained by Jacques sister Sharlate who was funny, friendly and super informative about Jamaica's history and beauty. Our entrance fees were taking care of and we were off! Dunn's River was great quite an adventure and we had the waterfall to ourselves. Off to Blue hole which was exciting and even more adventurous. We at no time felt hurried or uncomfortable with Jacques and Sharlate. We stopped for lunch and we were brought back to our hotel safe and sound around 1pm. You could choose expensive, crowded, multiple hotel stops and an itinerary you can't plan or an adventurous day with super friendly professional people on a private tour of your choosing, you would be crazy not to take a Jacques tour... The next day at the resort we saw people looking at brochures and told them about Jacques, they went with him and LOVED it!

We had such a memorable day with Jacques and Charlotte, one we will not forget and would definitely recommend to everyone. Our party was a family of four with two teenagers. Firstly they collected us from the boat and took us straight to do the bobsleigh. We arrived nice and early and avoided all queues. After then it was to Dunn's River Falls which was really good fun and finally off to the Blue Hole (not for the faint hearted). Throughout our trip Jacques and Charlotte were good company and very informative and passionate about their country. The knowledge they shared with us really gave us and understanding of the cultures in this wonderful area. Throughout the trip nothing was ever too much trouble and we never felt rushed or under pressure. The trip was finished with a final stop at a local cafe where we ate jerk chicken. Finally we found this trip to be very good value. The amount quoted included all entrance fees and transport. We definitely made the right choice booking through Jacques Tours Jamaica.

Highly recommended! Unforgettable experience. Jack and his tour were always present both before and after the excursion. They picked us up from the harbor and took us to these two beautiful attractions: Dunn's Falls and the blue hole. Special congratulations go to Robert who guided us in the blue hole and was very helpful especially to recover and to take pictures throughout the course. Great! And thank you again for everything! We (group of 9) booked a tour online with Jacques Vessels. Beforehand the email traffic was fast, friendly and clear. Our tour was tailor-made. We visited the Dunfalls, Blue Hole and the tubing in the White River. After leaving our cruise ship, the guide and the driver were already waiting for us. Very friendly people, knowledgeable and helpful. The guide accompanied us everywhere and was a very smart one. She warned us about pushy vendors etc. We wanted to eat locally and she took us to a perfect place with great food. Everything went perfectly. Tour with this organization is highly recommended!
