Bamboo River Rafting Experience From Ocho Rios

River rafting in Jamaica was absolutely fantastic! The scenery was breathtaking, the ride was smooth yet exciting, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. It felt like the perfect blend of adventure and tranquility. This is a must‑do activity if you’re visiting Jamaica. The guide are friendly and attentive, making sure you feel safe while also having fun. It’s a great way to enjoy the natural beauty of the island and create unforgettable memories.

The driver who took us to the river was great. The rest of the experience was very disappointing. We walked down broken steps to the river. The guide was not enthusiastic at all. The actual "tour" was a short ride down a small waterway to a shack selling drinks for exorbitant prices. Then another short ride to a spot where we were pressured to buy massages, braiding, etc. After about 15 minutes, we were brought back to the starting point. We paid $75 each for this.

It was a peaceful and beautiful experience. Our guide was experienced and knowledgeable A very different thing to do in Jamaica. We would def do it again!

Tour was surprisingly good. Tour guide was very good. After we boarded the bus, we stopped at a gift shop first, then went on to the river where we each got helped onto a raft. The raft captain took us up river to some food, drinks and a tire swing was a nice surprise, very fun! The raft captains make sure everyone is having a good time, super friendly and very attentive. After rafting, we boarded the bus to go back and we had the option of stopping to shop and walking back to the ship or taking the bus back to the ship. Highly Recommend!

We had the experience of a life time! We were celebrating a 40th birthday and they made the bday girl and the rest of the girls feel so special! All the rafters were so knowledgable and you can tell they enjoyed what they do! This is a must! Shout out to J for picking us up and looking after us! 10/10 service! We will back again very soon 😀

I was not impressed but we made the best of it. The guide was informative. I felt it was not worth the money at all.

This was such a great couples activity. The point where the river met the ocean was quite a site to see. The guide made us feel like we were the only ones on the river. He even showed us how to retrieve almonds from the fallen trees. That was really cool to see AND taste! This is the most Instagramable experience in Jamaica!

Loved it thought the limestone massage was included but it was an extra fee.. opted not to do it but had fun taking pics enjoying the river and vibes and had some coconut water

My experience was great! FANTASTIC music and vibes. i also had a mud massage that I really enjoyed which cost $40 & converted to JMD it's roughly 6000 a bit pricey for what you get but I suppose it is all about experience 😊. The Driver that picked us up from our resort was really helpful and professional. Highly experience staff and knows Ocho rios really well so ask plenty of questions.

Great time . Very unique experience. Only knocked a star because I would have liked it to be longer on the raft . Mud massage was extra but awesome . Driver was great took us additional Location so definitely 5 stars for the company

Jason picked us up at our port and is an excellent driver and provided a great deal of information about the island. Before the raft experience you can purchase a drink to enjoy on your ride. While on the raft we paddled as well. Making the experience even more relaxing for a fee you can enjoy a massage using limestone paste. Captain Flowers operated a beautifully decorated raft and provided the massage. The use of the natural limestone made your skin so soft. It was a wonderful experience.

JUST WOW, what a beautiful experience. 1st of all Jamoy was the very best tour guide you could possibly have. Super friendly.Provided specific instructions for meeting and stood with us the whole time making us feel super safe. Truly providing us with the best 1st time experience in Jamaica. The bamboo River was fun. Note:bring cash, mud rub are $40+ extra. Along the river there drinks for extra cost as well. He took us to a local restaurant which was amazing since we got back earlier. 10 out of 10 recommended. Definitely booking in future.

The cool breeze blowing against my skin was refreshing and the ability to gear the raft was exciting. The music and staff was amazing.

Let me first say the driver Jason and the raft operator Sheldon were absolutely amazing!!! Reason for 4 stars the actual route on the river is very short and the river was not exactly clean. It did end at a beautiful beach with the option to get a clay massage. While I would recommend this company, I will not recommend this route if you’re looking for a slow relaxing ride on pristine waters. All of the raft operators are extremely nice and professional and rafts are beautifully decorated but the dirty river and short ride is a no for me.

The driver remy was amazing and the raft guys were lit asf we had a blast thanks so much such amazing people great atmosphere and lots of FUN ask for remy if you need a driver enjoy.

Our driver Jay was on time and got us safely to our tour. He was very kind and helpful as well. The tour was very beautiful with amazing scenery and a knowledgeable raft captain. They took us to a small market with a beach view and many souvenir sellers.

I had to complete this review to let everyone know reasons why you should book with Jaiden Dream Tours/SSJ! My mom and I got a customized private tour from off of the website. I found the contact information through TripAdvisor but since I travel a lot and know the ins and outs, I figured it was better to communicate with them directly of my wants and needs. Jason, our guide, became family right away! He was so helpful to my mom who cannot walk long distances and made sure she was comfortable in every activity we did. He treated her as his mom. We did bamboo rafting and Jason even made sure that we got the raft with the birthday girl on it. My mom really loved it. Jason was so informative throughout the tour. I am a history and cultural buff so any question about the island I could think of from politics of the country to the topic of natural remedies found in plants in comparison to mine and my mother’s upbringing, just a whole vibe. Jamie, the primary contact and owner was very communicative throughout the entire booking process. Will be returning in December so hopefully I will be booking with them again. This was our first experience being on a raft and we enjoyed every moment.The person in charge was very friendly, he made us feel very comfortable, the ride was very relaxing and the view was beautiful.

Was a beautiful experience and our tour guide was great. He made sure we were comfortable and even explained the history behind the location we visited. I wish the path was longer, however our raft guide made the experience much better.

Capt Beckem was amazing! Lots of photos and videos and time to walk around the beach and ocean. Take cash there are options to buy things along the way and you will want to tip your driver and tour guide

We had a wonderful experience! Our driver, Jay, was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. We loved getting a glimpse of how the locals lived and getting off the resort property for a bit. Our rafting guide, Lloyd, made sure we had an enjoyable experience, providing us with information / facts along the way. The rafting ride was relaxing with options to enjoy a drink from one of the bars along the river during. I would highly recommend booking with this group and trying this out while you’re in Ocho Rios!
