Absolutely perfect location and hotel. Parking available. Friendly staff. Wifi. AC/heating. Clean room. Free breakfast. Outside the busy castle but RIGHT along the wall so you can walk right in. Beautiful views from hotel. Pool. I'd recommend staying in the best room (there are only 2) that are right near the pool and very private from the rest of the hotel.
This was one of the most disappointing 4-star hotel experiences I’ve had. A hotel in this category should provide basic amenities such as a coffee machine or at least a kettle in every room, but there was neither. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8:00 AM, even from Monday to Sunday, which is unacceptable for business travelers and guests who need to leave early. A 4-star hotel should offer a much more convenient breakfast schedule. To make matters worse, there was a strong musty smell throughout the hotel, including inside my room. The odor made the stay unpleasant and suggested poor ventilation or maintenance. Overall, this hotel falls well below the standards expected of a 4-star property. I cannot recommend it and would not choose to stay here again.
The location is great. Nice to have parking. Unfortunately, our stay was a bad experience. We stayed in the panoramic view room and it smelled strongly of mildew. We tried complaining about it and they kept telling us things that we needed to do to fix it. We left the room open for hours, ran the air conditioning (when it was working), nothing cleared the smell. We also didn’t have hot water the first morning. And the elevator broke - stayed that way for days. One of the front desk staff were helpful and conscientious (didn’t get her name), but the others were not. Breakfast was good. But, this is not a 4 star hotel. We will never go back.
Perfect place to stay if visiting Obidos! Parking is very nice and needed. Staff is very helpful in all aspects! Rooms are comfortable and fun feeling bring in a castle. We have been twice and would book again if visiting Obidos
Found this charming hotel last-minute on booking.com. Very well-situated, just steps from the city walls. Attractive medieval decor - kids would love it. Room was comfortable, bathroom was spacious. Complementary glass of port by the fire was on offer - very pleasant. My only quibble: the listing emphasized free parking, but the hotel garage was full and we had to find street parking. This turned out to be no problem in March, but I would be concerned that it would not be so easy in high season. Maybe they alter their claim accordingly.
