What a wonderful tour. Felix worked with our crazy schedule and picked out interesting places to visit after we had told him of our interests. Each location was highlighted by well informed and professional guides/instructors. The lunch venue was unique beautiful and delicious. Felix was so knowledgeable, professional and patient. We highly recommend Felix and this tour.

We will do a guided visit to the most important Archeological site of Oaxaca, visiting the best spots, exploring and learning about the culture and life style of our ancestors; walking with no rush around this UNESCO site you will have time to enjoy and take beautiful photos.
We only have two petrified Water falls in the world! In Pamukkale Turkey and Oaxaca Mexico! We really suggest to visit this place early in the morning to appreciate the beautiful views, take amazing pictures and enjoy they natural pools without people. The grupal tours usually get there by 11:00 am.
After Monte Alban was abandoned, Mitla city was considered the most important place in the Central Valley of Oaxaca due to its economy, political and militar power. We will do a guided visit through the beautiful Architecture and the amazing decoration we can find on walls. Mitla was architecturally designed against earthquakes.
We will experience Oaxacan Art visiting a family workshop led by natives. These colorful & Fantasy animals made of wood hide mysticism behind them. We will see the whole process since they are carved until they are painted with beautiful zapotec symbols on them. You can also figure out which is your protector or spiritual animal!
We will see the widest Tree in World & one of the Oldest Located in this pretty and clean Tule Town with a beautiful Garden.

In this town we can find many workshops but not all of them work with natural dyes, something it's really important to preserve the culture, the original tradition and to take care of the environment. We will learn also about the life style and cosmovision of the indigenous families.
This type of pottery is more decorative, not utilitarian. We will experience how people work with the black pottery and see how they still use the prehispanic lathe to make classic, modern and master pieces. All the decoration and brightness on the pieces is made by hand! People is so proud about what they do so we can ask questions and take photos freely.
The first corn seeds of America continent were found here. A hike on a mountain visiting a complex of five prehispanic caves where we are able to see petroglyphs in red color, white and black; figures like hands, people hunting, stars, the sun, spirals, corncobs etc. Following the rules of the community we do the visit by the hand of a native guide. A lot of History!
BEEWAX CANDLES An old traditions almost forgotten in this town. These organic candles were made for special celebrations, like weddings, town festivals, catholic masses etc. The most specially one was to ask the hand of a native woman. Nowdays are still made in the artisanal way using beeswax making candles for decoration like flowers, cactus, sculptures, with aroma, etc
The Market day is an old traditions that never passed away in Oaxaca. People from the differents towns and regions of oaxaca come to this place to do the grossery or to sell their local products like fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, souvenirs, traditional clothes, food or even live animals! Market days are definitly a place where you can experience the real life of a town. We recommend this one specially to try the meat hall and the Goat or sheep Barbacoa. IT'S ONLY SUNDAYS.
A small village with an old tradition. We visit a small group of women to see how they work with the backstrap loom in their patio. Compare to other textiles, these ones are more utilitarian, making table runners, purses, placemats, coasters, shoulder bags, bracelets, belts, straps for guitars, sunglases or cameras.

This was an outstanding experience. Armando was our guide and he was fantastic! Having the private tour and ability to customize what you do/don't want to see to optimize your time is so worth it. Having done a big group tour in CDMX a few days before this...the private tour was soooo much better. You can go at your own pace and not feel like you're wasting any time. If I'm ever back in Oaxaca, I would 100% book another tour with this group. Nice car, great flexibility, and well chosen stops at each location. Seeing the surrounding small towns and meeting multi-generation families that are preserving their local craft is what makes visiting Oaxaca feel so special. One thing to know in advance is not all stops shown on the website are possible to do in one day. Certain stops are geographically too far apart, and the stops essentially split up into two regions you can choose from (south vs east). So for example we were able to do everything we wanted to do in the southern region (Monte Alban, San Martin Tilcajete, San Bartolo Coyotepec, etc), but would have had to do a second day of touring to see what we wanted in the eastern region (Mitla, Hierve el Agua, Tule Tree, Teotitlan del Valle). The two Mezcal options are so there is one per region (south: Santa Catarina Minas; east: Santiago Matatlan). So it's customizable within limits based on which of the two regions you want to dedicate your day to (Monte Alban could go into either since it's close to the city). If I had realized this in advance, I still would have booked this tour, but would have booked/allocated two days with them instead of one.
We had an absolutely amazing time on our private tour, and Ricardo was a huge part of what made it so special! Everything we saw was incredible, but Ricardo truly made the experience unforgettable. He was hilarious, kind, knowledgeable, and just so much fun to spend the day with. We joked throughout the tour that Ricardo was basically family, but by the end, it honestly felt like he was! 😂❤️ He made us feel comfortable, welcomed, and like we were spending the day with an old friend rather than just a tour guide. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would absolutely recommend Ricardo to anyone looking for a fun, memorable, and personal experience. Thank you, Ricardo, for making our day so special! 🇲🇽❤️
A great day travelling with Conmigo Tours. We made our arrangements for a tour when we arrived in Oaxaca - Antonio was super responsive to my emails and I booked and customised our day long trip by email. We visited Hierve El Agua, Mitla, and some local rug- making artisans, stopping for a delicious lunch and breakfast along the route. Our guide Jesus spoke perfect English, was helpful, fun, knowledgeable and friendly- and had a great playlist. Can’t recommend them highly enough.
We (my wife, me and two daughters 10 and 12) joined Felix for a fully day tour that started at Hierve el Agua and then worked back through Mitla, a mezcaleria, a family textile opertation and the Tule tree. It was a huge highlight of our trip. Felix was exceptional -- right on time, very knowledgable and kind. I really appreciated that he was well organized and also prioritized supporting local businesses and artisans whenever possible. The car was nice and our family always felt very safe and well-taken care of. I'd recommend Conmigo (and Felix) without reservation and hope to see them again sometime!
We had an amazing experience with this tour company! The team was incredibly personable, friendly, and made us feel welcome from the very beginning. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time, and their knowledge and enthusiasm made the tour even more enjoyable. Every detail was well organized, and it was clear they genuinely cared about providing a memorable experience. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and exceptional tour!
Jesus was an excellent tour guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable and kind. We had an unforgettable day
Antonio and Felix provided excellent service to our small group for our first time in Oaxaca. The tours, families and workshops we visited felt specially selected for us and we felt truly immersed in the culture. We learned a lot, drank a lot good mezcal and ate wonderful traditional foods. We could not have planned it any better ourselves and we appreciated being introduced to things we would never find on our own. Felix was a friendly and engaged guide who after 3 days of tours together felt like a friend. Can’t wait to return and see more with the help of Conmigo tours!
A fantastic day exploring 4 villages & Monte Alban. Plus, we had THE most delicious lunch at a family restaurant en route. Jesus was a fantastic guide who shared so much of the Zapotec/ Oaxacan culture! You can tell he leads with his heart .. he loves Oaxaca and shares that passion with you. They were completely happy to create a tour that I wanted, changing it a couple of times, including after Jesus and I met, and he realized places to add to the tour that I would likely enjoy. We saw Atzompa, Monte Alban, San Martin Tilajete, Santo Tomas Jaleiza, and San Bartolo Coyotepec. My favorite day of my Oaxaca trip.
I discovered Oaxaca Conmigo while browsing tours on Viator and was immediately drawn to their outstanding reviews. After visiting their website, it was clear why—their tours are highly customizable and focused on authentic cultural experiences that felt far more meaningful than anything else I found while planning my trip. I reached out through their website for more information, and Antonio was fantastic to work with. He was responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping create the right experience. The entire process was smooth, and he helped arrange the perfect tour for me. I chose the Art and Pottery tour, which became a top highlight of my visit to Oaxaca. Meeting the talented artisan families and learning about their traditions made the day feel incredibly personal and memorable. Last but certainly not least, I have to give a huge shoutout to my awesome guide, Jesús. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and incredibly kind, making me feel comfortable and included everywhere we went. His relationships with the artisans were clearly genuine, which made each visit feel personal rather than transactional. He also chose a fantastic Zapotec restaurant for lunch that was absolutely delicious and added another wonderful cultural element to the day. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Oaxaca Conmigo again—they truly made my first visit to Oaxaca unforgettable.
We had a great day touring various artisan workshops. Felix made sure we were comfortable and had planned a great itinerary where we got to see different artisans who were all experts in their crafts. Felix was great at translating everything for us, and we enjoyed spending the day with him. We also got to see the Tule tree and visit a small mezcal distillery. We would highly recommend this tour!
We had two wonderful full-day tours to places outside the city with Oaxaca Conmigo. Our guide Chuy was extremely knowledgeable on the history and archeology of the ancient sites we visited and also took us to local villages where met the people creating artisan craft work. He took good of us and was fun to be with. Highly recommended!
We spent a wonderful two full days with Jesus. We toured all the important sights and archeological ruins. Jesus had so much knowledge about everything we saw. He was very generous with his time and didn’t rush us from place to place. Excellent guide and highly recommended. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Oaxaca Conmigo again for another tour.
Felix, our guide, was awesome! So knowledgeable and amenable. The tour itself was magical at each step of the way. It’s a great way to get out of the city and see all the things Oaxaca has to offer.
This tour was excellent. Great guide, new comfortable car and a flexible itinerary that you can customize with the guide as you go. We also felt the stops, even the ones that involved shopping, were well curated and not tourist traps. I highly recommend it
We booked the Hierve El Agua full day tour and it was the highlight of our time in Oaxaca. Antonio was very responsive to questions I had during the planning and booking process. He made it so easy and was so supportive. Our driver Jesus gave us great information about the places we stopped at and the areas we drove through. The connection and care he showed to both us and people we met during our day made us feel we were traveling with a friend not just a driver/guide. I highly recommend this company and their tours. It is an exceptional experience.
Spent a memorable, wonderful day with Jesus of Oaxaca Conmigo, touring Monte Albán, a mezcal farm and workshop for a tasting, and various craft workshops. Jesus was fun and informative and went the extra mile to satisfy our interests and accomodate our needs . We packed a lot into one fantastic day, including lunch at Almú, one of the best meals we have eaten in the Oaxaca area. We highly recommend touring with Jesus.
A fantastic day. Amazing day, a bucket list day. Visiting amazing ruins with a Guide who truly feels Monte Alban, and shares insights I don’t think you get with just anyone. Then private visits with multigenerational silversmithing, textile, and black pottery families, welcoming us into their homes and shops, sharing the incredible artistry, history, patience, knowledge and attention to detail required to create stunning works of art. We seriously had moments of goosebumps and tears, being granted this glimpse into lives and history that most folks will never see. You really cannot put a price on such an experience. From our hearts, gracias y benediciones, Amigos.
We toured with Jesus. He has full knowledge to give this tour, and is very accommodating. We had not settled on the sights to experience. He narrowed our interests with information to fulfill our interests. We learned so much of the area surrounding Oaxaca. By all means take this tour.
This is a wonderful tour with passionate and knowledgeable guides! Our guide today was absolutely fantastic. He was prompt, drove a very clean and comfortable car and was so helpful with my 83 year old parents. His patience was great. It was obvious he is passionate about his culture and history and shares it so well. He really personalized the tour to meet our needs. Thank you for sharing your love of Oaxaca with us!
My husband and I had such a great experience with Oaxaca Conmigo Private Tours. We booked directly through their website and coordinated everything ahead of time with Antonio, who was super responsive and easy to work with. We also really appreciated that they support local vendors and give a portion of their proceeds back to low-income Oaxacan families. Our guide for the day, Jesus, was fantastic. The tour was fully customized and felt relaxed but really thoughtful. He started the day by taking us to a local bakery for coffee and fresh bread before heading to Hierve del Agua, then planned a lovely lunch stop before our mezcal visit. Jesus is fun, engaging, incredibly knowledgeable—and a great driver too (very comfortable car, which matters on a long day!). Also, Jesus somehow knew every dog we passed — and they all clearly adored him. One of the highlights was the mezcal tasting experience. Jesus had actually worked at the distillery before and led the tasting himself, sharing so much context and insight you just wouldn’t get otherwise. He also took us to Teotitlán del Valle to visit one of the top weaving families, where we got a personal tour and presentation and met the master weaver, Bulmaro Pérez Mendoza, before buying a couple rugs directly from him. (Pro tip: Bring an extra large suitcase if you can! We ended up buying a large suitcase in town in order to bring the gorgeous rugs back home.) The whole day felt personal, authentic, and really well cared for. If you’re looking for a private tour that’s thoughtful, flexible, and deeply connected to local culture, this is it.
We organised two days pf tours during our recent visit to Oaxca, Antonio was great at helping to arrange the trips according to our needs. Both guides, Felix & Armando, were great. Felix acted as translator when needed & was great company. Armando’s knowledge & insights about Monte Alban was first rate. The other great thing about the company is their commitment to the local communities & artisans. I really loved their ethical approach to their work. Highly recommend using Oaxaca Conmigo & I will do so again when I’m next in Oaxaca.
We had a great experience with the company, starting from the first interaction with Antonio when we sent a request for the tour options, and until the moment our brilliant guide Jesus left us after the excursion at our hotel. Everything was just perfect: attention to the details, flexibility on timing and the order of the sites to visit, the quality of the excursions with a lot of data and facts, individual treatment during mezcal testing, etc. I would like to highlight what stroke me most is the passion that these guys have for their region, culture and history. Plus they are very interesting people that share their personal stories and make you feel welcomed. We will definitely continue using this agency in our next visits. Highly recommended!
We could not have had a more enjoyable day. We were able to curate the trip to our interests. Our guide was fantastic- knowledgeable, humorous, flexible and incredibly friendly. Truly could not have asked for more. Do not miss out on this experience!
We had a really great day exploring with Felix. We had a pretty clear itinerary in mind, and Felix was completely accommodating and guided us through it very well.
Jesus was a great guide. Arrived on time, spoke Spanish, and English, was very accommodating of our family that included a nine month old baby. Was ready to help with the baby as well. We had our own itinerary which he followed and completed to Monte Alban,, two arts and craft sites and to see the tree at Thule He was very informative, Monte Alban would’ve made no sense without the explanations. He took us to an excellent place to eat and gave us good recommendations for the rest of our time in Oaxaca. Antonio, who organized the whole thing was good as well, very responsive to all my questions. I would use this company again with no hesitation.
Armando, our guide, was fantastic, very knowledgeable and accommodating to all we wanted to do at our own pace. I absolutely recommend him and this company, great experience.
We had the most amazing day visiting Monte Albán and Teotitlán del Valle with our guide, Tony. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Oaxaca and Zapotec history and culture, and his passion made every stop come alive. After exploring the breathtaking ruins of Monte Albán, Tony took us to a small local town where we enjoyed an unforgettable homemade lunch — the best mole negro and Oaxacan hot chocolate we’ve ever had! From there, we continued to Teotitlán del Valle, where we learned all about traditional Zapotec weaving and even bought some beautiful handwoven rugs directly from the artisans. Since we visited during Día de los Muertos, Tony also brought us to the local cemetery in the village. It was such a moving and authentic experience to witness how families honor their loved ones. This day was the highlight of our trip — full of history, culture, and genuine local experiences. Highly recommend this tour!
We had a wonderful experience with Oaxaca Conmigo Tours. Our guide, Tony, was accommodating and flexible, making sure we maximized our time, and did just the things we were excited to do. Conversation was genuine and informative during our drive. We made a stop for an authentic breakfast at Comedor Citali on the way to Hierve El Agua. Per Tony's suggestion we arrived at early to beat the crowds and the heat. Tony procured a wonderful local guide while at Hierve el Agua. The tour far exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful hike, took in multiple views, all while receiving fascinating history of the site. The stop was made complete with coco frios! From there we headed to Mitla. Tony proved an excellent guide of the site. He opened the experience by paying respect to the ancient site and its inhabitants in the traditional Zapotec language. He explained the rich history of the site, pointed out subtle details, and translated many of Mitla's beautiful figures and symbols. At the end of our visit to Mitla, Tony encouraged our feedback and gauged our interest in our next adventure. We decided that a magical visit to Conina Nishh to enjoy lunch and to see Dona Dalia making preparations for the upcoming Dia De Muertos festivities would be a wonderful way to wrap up the day. We were welcomed by Dona Dalia and her family for a meal that was a genuine treat. On the way back to the hotel, Tony gave us additional recommendations for stops while in Oaxaca. All of which were fantastic. We could not have started our trip to Oaxaca any better and are very grateful to Tony and Oaxaca Conmigo Tours for a perfectly planned, personalized experience.
Jesus was our driver. He is a character as well as extremely knowledgeable about the area, it's inhabitants and it's history. We had a special request so we could have lunch in Mitla with some dear friends. He was not reluctant at all to accommodate us, and made us feel very relaxed and comfortable. It was an educational and extremely enjoyable day!
We went on a tour which included Monte Albán, lunch, alabrijies, mezcal tasting, and black pottery. Felix picked up us on time and was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable! All the places he took us to were incredible and local businesses we were happy to get to see and support. They were also open to adding on more trips that day if we had wanted. We learned a lot about Oaxaca and would recommend this to anyone visiting the area :)
Fantastic experience. Felix was very informative and understood the needs of our group. Also, we really appreciated the company's flexibility with our interest in doing a customized trip/schedule. Highly recommend!
My husband & I just returned from spending the most beautiful 12 hours today with Jesús, visiting the petrified falls of Herve el Agua, the archeological ruins of Mitla, a mezcal distillery, a textile workshop in Teotitlán del Valle where we learned about the fascinating process of making the traditional Zapotec rugs, with a final stop at the 2000 year old Tule tree. From our 7am pick up until our 6:30pm drop off, Jesús kept us engaged with history of the area, explanations of sights along the route, and was just a super-pleasant & knowledgeable guy to spend the day with. We stopped for breakfast and coffee at a local roadside eatery with delicious food, and later in the day at a restaurant for yet another tasty meal. From the initial inquiry about booking with Oaxaca Conmigo, to the communication the morning of pickup, Antonio was responsive and easy to work with. As mentioned in other reviews, there is a reason Oaxaca Conmigos has 5⭐️ reviews. I join with their previous customers in highly recommending them!!
We loved it! Tony, our guide, was super nice and very knowledgeable. He shared so much with us about the place and its culture. We were able to customize the tour and saw many interesting and beautiful spots. Personally, we loved Hierve el Agua and Teotitlán del Valle but everything was amazing. Highly recommend taking this tour and experiencing everything Oaxaca has to offer!
We booked a private tour for 4 with Oaxaca Conmigo and had a wonderful time. It was easy to book the tour and communicate with the team. We enjoyed our first tour so much that we booked a last minute second one. Antonio, Felix and Jesus were wonderful tour guides, enjoyable to talk to, and accomodated our dietary needs (vegetarian). Thank you Oaxaca Conmigo!
This was a great tour. Our guide Jesus is excellent and his knowledge and humor were very much appreciated! We will be back for other tours with him.
We just got back from Oaxaca and I wanted to share my experience with Oaxaca Conmigo. We booked a day trip to Hierve Al Agua, Milta, Mezcal, and Tule Tree. I communicated with Antonio and he was attentive and responsive to all my requests and questions. I travelled with my wife and 2 kids (ages 8 and 10). Felix picked us up on time and we were off to Hierve. The transport was clean and roomy. Felix and I talked the whole time and he gave us some great insight on the city and culture. Felix is fluent in English but we spoke in spanish. Felix was attentive to my kids and would explain stuff to them so they could understand what we were seeing and exploring. The day trip was long. Felix picked us up at 7am and we were back at our hotel around 6pm. We got some good food along the way. First, before we got to Hierve we ate at a restaurant/house and the breakfast was so good. During lunch, Felix took us to a chef's house in the middle of nowhere. The food was amazing. Authentic mole freshly made by Chef Dalia. Aside from the day trip, we also booked private transport to and from the airport with Antonio. No issues and solid communication with our driver. Lastly, our last day in Oaxaca, my wife really wanted to go to the town where they make Alebrijes - San Martin Tilcajete. Instead of grabbing a taxi and exploring on our own, I emailed Antonio and he booked a last min trip for us. Felix picked us up from the city center and off we went. Felix had a 6 pack of beer waiting for me in his cooler and we arrived at San Martin an hour later. He took us to a workshop where the employees explained the alebrije process and showed us step-by-step how they are made. My kids also got to paint their own alebrije. Once you get there, they tell you what your alebrije is based off your bday and birth year. It was a very cool experience. I can't recommend these guys enough. They are down to earth and very customer service oriented. They don't have "no" in their vocabulary. They made our trip so special especially with the anxiety of travelling with small children. It was amazing and I hope their company continues to grow! thank you boys! you guys were great.
My friend and I had the best time on this tour! It is very personalized and we learned so much about the Oaxacan culture. I highly recommend.
If you are in Oaxaca and take just one tour, this is the tour to take. There is a reason that almost every reviewer has rated this tour as excellent. It is private and completely flexible as what you want to do and see. If you are not sure about what you want to do because there are so many things to do and see in and around Oaxaca, the tour company can help advise you on what to do based on your interests. For our tour, my wife and I were picked up right on time from our hotel by our tour guide Jesus. Jesus was awesome. I will remember the tour as much for him as I will for the amazing places we visited. He was very knowledgeable, funny and very easy to talk too. There was never a dull moment with him and he seemed genuinely concerned that we have the best experience possible. For our personalized tour, we were driven in a very comfortable, airconditioned SUV and spent the entire day visiting archeological sites, seeing petroglyphs in ancient caves, visiting a Sunday market in a neighboring small town, and seeing the famous petrified falls of Hierve el agua. It was an amazing day and truly one of the most memorable things we did in Mexico.
We had an unforgettable day on our private tour in Oaxaca, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we were picked up on time at our hotel, we knew we were in good hands. Our guide, Jesús, was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the history and culture of the region.
Our first stop was Monte Albán, where Jesús gave us a fascinating and in-depth tour. He was able to answer all of our questions and it was obvious he truly cares about sharing the story of this incredible site. From there, we went to Santo Tomás Jalieza and were welcomed into the home of traditional weavers. They took the time to explain their process and traditions, and it felt like such a privilege to be invited into their world. Next, we explored the Friday market at Ocotlán de Morelos and have to privilege of having lunch at Cocina de Frida. We ended the day with a mezcal tour, where the distiller generously spent over 90 minutes walking us through the entire mezcal-making process. She was warm, knowledgeable, and clearly devoted to her craft. At every stop, we felt welcomed and never rushed. Jesús was not only an excellent guide, but a genuinely interesting and kind person. His English is excellent, and he was great to talk to throughout the day. This was the kind of experience that stays with you. There is no way we could have recreated this day on our own. I’ll remember it for the rest of my life, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to have experienced Oaxaca on such a meaningful level.
Choosing Oaxaca Conmigo was by far the best decision I made in booking a tour for the area. From start to finish, the whole process was easy. The owner, Antonio, is extremely responsive and informative in what the company offers, and they were very flexible in customizing my tour to exactly what I wanted to see. My tour guide, Jesús, was fantastic - extremely knowledgeable, and personable (not just towards me but to every person we crossed paths with). It made the whole experience that much better. I would recommend using Oaxaca Conmigo for private tours any day, and will absolutely use them again during my next visit. Thank you for making my first time in Oaxaca that much more memorable!
Tony was a phenomenal guide, I can’t recommend him enough! He is exceptionally knowledgeable on everything Oaxaca and was able to seamlessly guide us from location to location, customized to our preferences. My favorite part of our day was the Sunday market at Tlacolula, where Tony showed us the best things to eat in the market. 10/10 tour at a great value!
We booked two trips with Oaxaca Conmigo Tours and they were excellent. Both tour guides were safe drivers, professional and spoke excellent English. We were picked up on time from our hotel, the car was air conditioned, clean and spacious. All the sites on both tours were beautiful and we were back in our hotel on time. First tour was with Fernando and included visiting Monte Alban and a few artisan villages. Monte Alban is stunning and the artisan villages were inspiring. Fernando was patient, very knowledgeable, attentive and was happy to answer any questions. We also appreciated his flexibility - he had no problem adjusting lunch plans so that we could go to a different restaurant that was on our wish list. He picked up on our energy and matched it with his openness and humor. Fernando mastered the perfect combination of being professional yet personable. Spending the day with him was delightful. Second tour was with Jesus and included visiting Mitla, the Tule tree, an artisan village, Tlacolula de Matamoros Sunday market and a couple of Mezcal distilleries. Jesus was knowledgeable, passionate, happy to answer questions and really really fun to hang out with! Walking through the Tlacolula de Matamoros market with Jesus was one of the highlights of our trip. Everyone in the market knows him (!) and the place he took us for lunch was delicious and very authentic! Mezcal tasting with Jesus turned out to be another highlight of our trip and we learned soooo much about Mezcal. When it was time to part from Jesus it felt like we were saying goodbye to a beloved cousin.
Personalized tour, comfortable and the best service. We visited Monte Alban, we met artisans and learned their extraordinary work. Antonio, our tour guy, is very knowledgeable, caring and friendly. We will come back to Oaxaca and we will hire this tour agency for sure. 100% recommended.
We had a fantastic time on this tour and very highly recommend it to others. Communication with the company was outstanding at every step. They offer many many options such that you get to select and personalize your day trip in Oaxaca. They have some pre-selected trips that you can choose from or you can build your own based on your interests, which is what we did. In our day, we visited Monte Alban, Tule Tree, a mezcal distillery, and Hierve el agua. Our driver and guide was awesome, he was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We learned about the sites we visited as well as a lot about the culture of Mexico. I wouldn't hesitate to book this tour again the next time I'm in Oaxaca.
Highly recommend booking your oaxaca tour with Oaxaca Conmigo Private Tours. Tony was our driver and guide for the day and he was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The company let's you fully customize your itinerary for the day so you get to choose to visit the places you want and for the length of time you want. Much better than being stuck on a large group tour. The company was very communicative and easy to book/work with. Request Tony if you can! One of our group even forgot something in his car and he drove back that evening to drop it off for us.
Our tour with Tony was just fantastic!! We loved every second!! We asked to go for a very dense day and we managed to see everything we requested. It was smooth and enough time was dedicated to everything. Tony had a great knowledge of everything we saw and because of that we could learn a lot! Completely recommended!!!
We loved this tour. Our guide Jesus took so much time and energy to share with us so many stories and histories about every site we visited. Exploring Monte Alban was amazing and we learned so much. The food was incredible, so fresh and flavorful. We loved visiting families of artists and learning more about local painting, pottery, weaving, and tona workshops. Thank you very much for being such a fantastic guide, Jesus!
My 2 friends and I were visiting Oaxaca City from NY and were looking for a private tour to drive us to Hierve el Agua and the surrounding sights so we could enjoy the day on our own time. We're so happy we went with Oaxaca Conmigo Tours! I emailed them and Antonio was very responsive and helpful during the whole process. We were able to customize our day based on the options he provided in that area. Going to Hierve first (after a delicious tamale from the local bakery on the way) was perfect because there was almost no one there and we had the place to ourselves. We loved learning about the Zapotec culture and history at Mitla and learning about mezcal and the ancient natural dying and weaving techniques at Teotitlan del Valle . The Tule tree was beautiful as well! Our driver Chuy was right on time and was a great driver and gave us great recommendations and insight into the local culture and history of each location. We also appreciated that they take a lot of pride in building community with each location they go to and also give back a portion of their profits. They also do airport pickups/drop offs and many other tours in the area (as well as do rides to the beach if you want!). There are so many different tour companies but we highly recommend you book with Oaxaca Conmigo Tours!
