Very well managed. English speaking guide. Lots of time at all the attentions. Excellent place they used for lunch.

Itinerary
In this wonderful village you will learn from the ancient methods what the community uses to dye their garments and wool mats with natural pigments. You will also learn from their ancestral methods of making their handmade wool textiles and you will know their gallery where they have all their artworks what they make explain step by step every detail of their methods. Also in this town we will visit a workshop of "shell candles" which are made with mother beeswax and talk about their uses and custom of why the making of these candles.
The guide will tell you the story of the majestic tule tree that is more than 2000 years old and one of the tallest and widest in the world. As it is the first stop what we did and you did not have time to eat breakfast here the ladies of the village arrive to sell tamales, atoles and tacos of stews you can certainly consume some food before leaving to the next point.
You will enjoy its natural pools and its petrified waterfalls. You can also swim and go hiking with the local guides since they offer themselves when arriving at the entrance where we disembark the unit; a voluntary tip is given to them. Many people think that you walk a lot in Hierve el Agua, but in reality it is not like that, from the parking lot to the natural pools of Hierve el Agua it is about 8 minutes and the path is paved for walking perfectly. There are also changing rooms to put on your swimsuit, don't worry about that, and they also sell swimsuits at the entrance in case you forget yours. The ideal is that you take it already ready in your backpack. $120 pesos per person.
We will visit the archaeological zone of Mitla accompanied by a guide, who will tell us about the history of what it once was. Access cost $220 pesos per person. It is said that in the year 200 of our era, the Zapotecs began to settle at the site and they showed their devotion to the dead, which is when it was known as the "place of rest" of the dead.
We will make a meal stop at a traditional food buffet where you can eat different types of moles, the tortillas get hands down from the comal, roast meats, different types of pastas, salads and desserts Oaxacans.
And to close with a golden clasp. You will know the process of making the mezcal, the master mescalero will explain the type of agave plants what to sow and harvest. It will also take you where the process takes place in your factory of how it is distilled and processed. At the end of the factory tour we will end up in a bar free of tastings at no additional cost of ancient mezcal, cures of mezcal, creams of mezcal and artisan mezcal.

This tour is probably fine if you are in your 20s and looking for a party. For me, the transportation was awful. They played Mexican Banda music loudly for the entire trip repeating the same high energy band music over and over while passing a bottle of Mezcal around the bus. The seats were so tight that I had to sit sideways because my knees had no clearance to the seat in front of me. It was all like a bad Saturday Night Live skit. The guides English was ok but not as good as some of the other guides. The locations we visited were fine. My main complaint was the transportation between destinations. I had previously booked a trip on TripAdvisor and it was much more professionally operated and the guides were knowledgeable, and spoke great English. This was the worst tour I booked during my visit and would never book with this operator again.
It was a long day, but absolutely worth it! There were so many activities, and we truly enjoyed the entire experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. Our tour guide, Uriel, was excellent! He spoke fluent English and made the experience even more enjoyable. 👍
The tour fee per person was a great price, however they charge more per location. For example the fee to enter the waterfalls was 50 pesos but the tour charged you 120 pesos. Same with the archeological site. They should disclose that upfront that they will up-charge the sites they are taking you too.
Uriel a was fantastic and very knowledgeable guide. We were able to see all the sites, no rush. I would recommend this tour!
This is a very long but very eventful tour! Our tour guide Rodrigo is a native Oaxacan and is very knowledgeable about all the locations and history! He gave the tour in Spanish and English without skipping any details. At this time the tour does not include the entrance fees and toll fees to the sites but they clearly let you know how kuch each is before your tour which I appreciated! Even with those fees this tour was still a great deal compared to others! The restaurant that they take you too for lunch was also absolutely delicious! Highly recommend!
Fun experience! 10/10 recommend, Angel was a great tour guide. He shared so much information with us and was very accommodating.
Good and worth it experience. You are able to see Oaxaca gems in one day. It is a long day but I think broken down by the stops made it bearable. Price is also very good!
This was a loooong day, but having an air conditioned van to be chauffeured in was clutch. I was a solo female who only spoke English, and while our guide Silver mostly spoke Spanish, it was no biggie. We had a great group (mostly Californians, they love Mexico!), and 2 sisters with their mom. The only activity included was Tule, so you’re basically just paying for transportation. Which was fine, cuz honestly the roads are a pita out by Hierve de Agua (high clearance is a plus), but just carry a bunch of pesos if you wanna buy stuff. Of course cards are accepted at the spots you stop at in Teotitlán. The mezcal stop was awesome too, seeing the equipment, fire pit & all the different plants, and we had a great guide. Of course ended up buying a small bottle to take back home made in the clay pots. No veo por que no! I would probably take this your again, but hopefully the guide will know a bit more English. Muchas gracias!
Amazing tour. Very thorough, fascinating, and overall such a great time. Tour guide was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable.
The tour was fun-packed and informative without a dull moment. Even though we were taken to some workshops with the idea that tourists would spend money, such as the agave/quartz place, the mezcal retail, the explanations of what Agave can produce and how mezcal is produced is detailed and fascinating, so a lot has been learned along the way. The buffet lunch was also better than expected, as the food was reasonably tasty. The only reason for giving it 9/10 is because there seemed to be costs that were imposed on us without us knowing. For example, the entry fee to Hierve el Agua was 50pesos, but the guide asked for 120. If you hadn't paid attention, you would know the extra you were paying for. When questioned, the guide said the extra was for the tolls etc, but that cost wasn't made explicit, ad I wondered why this cost was borne by the customers. Despite that it wasn't a lot of money, the lack of transparency had made me uncomfortable, and I wondered what hidden costs there had been, such as the entry fees to archeological site.
Excellent experience. It was fun and most importantly we felt safe. There was even an additional stop at the end to a Mexican bakery. This is a must do tour if you are in or around Oaxaca, Mexico. It takes an entire day. We visited a huge tree - one of the biggest in the world, a traditional rug making home business showing the use of natural dyes, a traditional chocolate making business with free samples, a great restaurant for lunch, the Hierve el Agua - the petrified waterfall, and a Mescal factory with free samples.
The places we visited were amazing. The buffet had multiple options for all type of diets. Warning it is a very long tour - full day. Started around 9am, arrived to the hotel almost 12 hours later. We recommend it.
It was a very good trip and the guide was very knowledgeable and organized. I recommend it for anyone who wants to go to these destinations. We had no issues for the whole tour and we even got free mezcal tasting, free bread tasting, and free chocolate tasting.
Good times, book this tour. Buy a carpet.
It was a great experience. As described in the application. The whole tour was very well organized. Uriel and Dani were excellent at their job.
It is a very enriching trip, you visit several places in a single day. Personally, I loved it. The guide Rodrigo was very kind and always attentive.
What a wonderful experience to get to know these places in Oaxaca that is express and where you eat deliciously!
At Hierve el Agua you can tour the pools and waterfalls on horseback for an extra cost that is worth it. And you have time on the tour
Full-day tour of the area. The guide Auriel and the driver Daniel were very attentive at all times, with good explanations and making the tour very dynamic.
Excellent communication and transport, also very pleasant, and with many explanations. 100% recommended.
The reservation was very simple to make, the tour contains several very nice points, from the beginning they contact you to agree which seems very good
The reservation was very simple to make, the publication has good information and the tour you take was very complete and at a good price, they passed by us to a point near my accommodation and the communication they have with the user is very good
This excursion was a great experience for us and an ideal opportunity to discover the region in all its facets! Our guide was very invested and always present to help us understand every step of the day:) Thanks also to the people who accompanied us, we made very beautiful meetings! We recommend this experience 100%!
We did the walk and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything was very well organized, but what really made the difference was the coordinator of the ride. Since we were picked up we felt in good hands: the coordinator was punctual, friendly and very helpful. He always kept an eye on everyone being comfortable and explained clearly the itinerary of the day, the ground conditions and the schedules to follow. The tour coordinator took the time to tell us the history of the place, interesting facts of the local environment and culture, and answered all our questions enthusiastically. You rating that he knows the area very well and is passionate about what he does, which made the ride not only beautiful visually, but also culturally enriching. In addition, their friendly and close attitude helped the whole group to connect: it generated a Relaxed Mood where we all felt contemplated and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this walk mainly because of how the coordinator made everything flow, taking care of the details and making sure we enjoyed every moment. A very worthwhile experience!
Opting for the tour was simple when reviewing all the information provided as well as having the willingness and friendliness of the staff made it even better! I definitely recommend it.
Since the booking of the tour the information was clear and accurate, excellent willingness of the staff to clarify doubts, without doubt one of the best guarantees that can offer the tourist
