The tour guide was very knowledgeable and you can tell he enjoyed his job, history and culture. Wonderful experience

is alot of things to do in 1 day. our experience was the guide repeating all information nonstop in spanish and english languages, talking fast therefore information was lost. sometimes the mike worked, sometimes not. schedule was very tight not allowing time to do all you want. There was no pick up at our air bnb, due to the festivities, departure time was changed about 12-14 hours prior to departure and drop off was not available at origination, had to make your own way back.
This seems like a long day but it's great for people who don't want to do much climbing but want to hear about the history of the area. The textile shop was very informative and there was no pressure to buy. Mitla was in architectural historic restoration that was mostly on flat ground. We had time for a lunch that had various options for a nominal fee. The mezcal distillery was interesting and again no hard sell to buy anything. The tule tree was in a small town that was surrounded by a church and a beautiful garden area. Overall there's a lot packed in to this stretched out day but if you only have a short period of time it's a good overview of the city of Oaxaca surrounding area
On time, covered everything, explained it well, kept everything on time, and very friendly and helpful.
This experience was amazing to he whole tour was great we got to experience so many things throughout the day. I will say I didn’t enjoy the buffet they have but there are other food stalls at stops before that are great. Although I didn’t like it my parents did enjoy it so I think it’s just my personal preference.
This is a good tour to get out of the city and see some of the environment. It is a mix of activities which I enjoyed, and we did not stay at any one too long. I found the Mezcal distillery a bit disappointing as it was a big tour bus stop. Fr a small group Viator could find something more authentic. The tour guide was fine, and had a good command of English as well, but ran out of steam after the Mitla stop, and did not have much to say after that. As a tour guide myself, I think he could have provided us with more information about the Oaxaca way of life on our return. But worth the cost for the day in my opinion.
I had an excellent day. The tour was well organised and the tour guide was very informative and helpful, the driver was also lovely. The activities were all really worthwhile and interesting and hierve al agua was very beautiful. be prepared for a long day and bring your swimsuit and cash for the entrance fees, shopping and tips. The restaurant we stopped at was decent enough too. I definitely recommend this trip
A very full day. Great sites. Excellent guide and driver. The vans air-conditioner, however was sub par. The van got quite hot at times. Otherwise, it was a great tour.
We could experience many things in one tour but having enough time at each stop. One thing I missed is that tour didn’t go up to the Teotitlan del Valley village but stops at roadside textile shop to see dying and weaving demo.
The tour was amazing . the guide Antonio was so informative, dedicated to giving us a good trip. The driver was excellent too. Highly recommend.
Great way to see lots of sites in one day. Good driver and guide. Loved the textile and mezcal factory.
Great opportunity to see several things. The trade-off is limited time at each site but still enough to experience and learn about each.
A fantastic day trip where you will visit many of the must-see sites in the Oaxaca area. Our tour guide was very enthusiastic and full of information about the sites we visited. The tour was well planned and the time spent at each place was appropriate.
Excellent tour, hitting lots of points but never felt rushed or overwhelming. Our guide, Moses, was awesome- his enthusiasm was contagious. The textile and weaving stop was incredible. The bus was small but comfortable enough. Highly recommend if you’re short on time and want to see lots of stuff!
Exceptional tour and guide. All the stops on itinerarary were interesting and the lunch buffet very good Of all the tours we took in Oaxaca área this was the best. Moisés our guide was knowledgeable and entertainong
Had great time at El Tule, the Archeological site and Hierve el Agua. Our guide was very knowledgeable and super nice.
So much packed in this day trip! Well worth the money. Comfortable transportation. Well paced. The guide explained everything in Spanish and English
I would highly recommend this trip. Antonio was an amazing guide, not only did he have so much knowledge and wisdom about the Zapotec culture, he was willing to share this and answer any questions we had! not only this what he provided multiple stops where we could use the bathroom and buy refreshments or snacks, which is something that often guides forget to do. This is a must!
Was a great trip. Excellent driver and tour guide, clean vehicle, and a full day of activities for a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend.
The guide and driver were very good and kept the tour on time. They were helpful with answering questions and very considerate when anyone needed help. They created a great rapport with the group. It would have been nice to have a more authentic experience with the mescal tasting. I appreciate that this company produces a lot of mescal but I think it would have been nice to support smaller local producers in the mix. We were rushed through and off to the tasting and buying in a hurry. No real connection.
Picked us up and dropped us off at our AirBnB. Nestor turned out to be a great driver. Antonio our guide is Zapotec and had deep insights into all our stops and basically gave us a private tour of Mitla. Although the food stop was good (not great), every aspect of this tour was both enjoyable and an incredible experience! Some incredible bargains on textiles and excellent mezcal followed us home, and small family mezcal distilleries could be seen roadside all along the way. 11/10 Do not miss out
Really great trip! Our guide was great and the driver too. They even picked us up and dropped us back off at the hotel. Excellent experience. Recommend!
We were with Antonio and everything went smoothly and nice. I really like the tour, the program and the explanations of the guide. In the tour price is not included the entrances because it requires to pay with cash only (20$ for Tule but you can skip it taking a beautiful picture from the square, 70$ hierve el agua, 95$ mitla ruins and 200$ for the buffet but you can bring your food). I highly recommend this tour, it was totally worth it and you can learn a lot about Mexican culture thanks to the guide knowledge.
Memorable beauty in Mexico that many people don’t get to visit. You get to see a tree in Tule that has many years growing into an amazing site.
Is a great way to see many of the areas around Oaxaca in a single day, would recommend to anyone visiting.
Our guide Antonio was amazing. This is an economical tour in that you get a lot for the cost of the ticket. We saw five distinct attractions. All were coordinated well.
This was a truly fantastic day. Everything we did was so fun and beautiful and the guide organized it very carefully so that we got to each location before it got busy. He was incredibly knowledgeable and seamlessly presented all the information and answered all our questions in both English and Spanish. You cannot come to Oaxaca without having this experience. So many amazing things all in one perfect day. And the drive through the countryside was gorgeous.
This is the same as the other tour except that the entrance fees are included in this one. The day could have gone better had the guide exerted more effort. We could barely hear him, most of the time he was just mumbling to himself.
What a wonderful tour! The itinerary is well done where you have enough time to enjoy each location and not feel rushed. The tour guide, Antonio, was fabulous! He was informative, organized, and funny.
We had a great time with Miguel, was a full day of a lot of the sites we wanted to see. Started with El Tule, then the Weaving place, The Zapotec Ruins in Mitla, stopped for 1 hour lunch, the Hierve El Agua.
You certainly get your moneys worth with this trip. We visited 5 impressive sights and ate lunch at an exquisite buffet. Throughly enjoyed our informative guide and the group on our tour.
The meet up hotel is easy to find downtown. We left on time. The group was small and that made it more fun. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the locations and a really nice guy. We spent plenty of time at all the locations to enjoy what we were seeing. Absolutely loved each destination. 10/10 would highly recommend. Bring your swimsuit!
The tour was well managed and organized— stops were not too long nor too short. We were told we’d be back by 7pm but thankfully we were back by 5:30pm. I really liked Mitla and Teotitlan. Buy souvenirs and ice cream/juice at Mitla, the prices are pretty good. For Hierve el Agua, it’s easy to get lost and accidentally hike too far, I think it would’ve been better if the guide joined us all the way in. It’s very very hot this time of year so make sure you have water! Food at the buffet restaurant was around MXN198 and it tasted okay, but there are definitey better Mexican meals around.
The whole trip was a great experience! From the Tule, and the rug making process wow a learning experience. And the mezcal was amazing, and tasty! The highlight of the trip was the Hierve el Agua(boiling water) is breath taking! Is a must while visiting Oaxaca and I’m so impressed with our tour guides . Making everyone feel very comfortable and accommodating to each persons needs.
Our guide, Antonio, and driver (sorry, couldn’t recall his name) were both excellent. The guide spoke in Spanish and English, translating from one language to the other as he spoke. He obviously took pleasure in sharing his knowledge and love of prehispanic culture. The driver deftly maneuvered very narrow streets, in reverse when necessary, and never lost his cool (I would). There are two reasons for our rating of "average" despite the qualities of the guide and driver. 1.) the description of the tour on TripAdvisor does not mention the swimming pools at Hierve el Agua so we didn’t know to bring bathing suits. Consequently we missed the opportunity to take dips on this very hot afternoon. 2.) two days before the tour, I texted the tour operator to find out when the van would return us to Oaxaca center. That mattered because we wanted to attend an event at 5 PM. The night before the tour start time, we received a text saying it would end around 4:30. That was OK. But in fact, we were not returned to our hotel again until about 7 PM. Surely the tour operator could have provided a more realistic estimate. We missed our event.
It was incredible, the staff was super knowledgeable and helpful. They kept the entire group on time but also gave enough time to enjoy every experience
It was a nice organized trip with lovely people. Mezcal tasting was the highlight. Clementine did an amazing job. Thank you!
It was a great trip, very interesting. We went mostly to go to “Hierve el agua” which was fantastic and I think the least amount of time to spend there should be two hours. El Tula “The tree” was amazing, I couldn’t believe how big it was…Also Mitla. And the wool factory and the Mezcal experience were pretty good as well. I got a very good pick of Mexico in this tour. Some tips: -Bring cash, some tours do not include the entrances to the parks. Also, you need it for lunch. -swimming suit on. -ask for the easy path in Hierve el Agua if your knees are weak as mine. The driver was excellent and so the guide. I highly recommend this tour.
Good experience, although the organisation wasn't the best. Long wait time in the morning. The lunch buffet (not included in the price of the tour) was packed because multiple groups arrived at the same time. There were no other options nearby. 35 mins in the queue to get the first plate. At least the food was alright. The sights were really nice though, especially Hierve El Agua. They compensate for the inconveniences.
The tour was really nice. With tight schedule and in a bit rush but very pleasant. The tour guide was awesome!
Recommend the tour. Very punctual throughout the tour and it was very informative. Liked that they picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel. Clean van and spacious. Guide was kind, fun, and helpful.
The tour was packed but you really do get a good amount of time at each place! The tour guide makes it incredibly interactive and fun for all!
The tour we took was on June 27. The stops were educational/enjoyable but the guide was a stiff, dry, grumpy, old man with zero personality and disengaged. He couldn't be bothered to project his voice so people at the back of the van could hear. It was a low energy experience because of the sour disposition of the guide. When you purchase online, tix are included; otherwise, you'll have to pay upon arrival. Tame your expectations about the waterfalls because they're ubermicro as in dribbling as opposed to gushing. The tour itself is well organized but the operator should be more selective with their hiring.
Everything was amazing and new and different. Hierves de Agua was especially out of this world. We never would have found these places on our own!
Beautiful and amazing views , truly recommend any tour that includes llerve el agua . A quaint little town with a BIG view 🫶
Very well planned your. No rush. Lots to see and learn. Our guide, Antonio, was fantastic. Good communication prior to and on the day to arrange pick up.
I really enjoyed all of it, but my favorite part of the experience was the tour of ancient Mitla and the natural pools at the hierve el agua. Definitely bring a bathing suit. It is a legit pool! I wished the mezcal portion was more interactive. Maybe we could’ve taken a tour of the agave farm, but I enjoyed the mezcal tasting. I gave an excellent review because the travel service was great (picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel), friendly, and on time.
Lovely tour with the guide Antonio. We saw quite a bit and I was grateful for the experience and for our guide.
No fun, they bring us to buy a lot of experience things. Which actually we can buy much more cheap other place.
Firstly our guide was absolutely lovely. He was patient, kind and a wealth of information. The best part of the tour is El Tule and Hierve el Agua (for us anyway). We would have rather skipped the mezcal and wool making part (but someone people might really enjoy this). Unfortunately lunch was not great and we didn’t enjoy the restaurant. Personally I would recommend seeing the tree and waterfall on your own as you don’t need a guide for either BUT if you want to be more cultural then I recommend doing this tour as it packs a lot in and ticks a lot of boxes in that regard
