On October 14, we booked this bike tour and arrived to the office on time. We have taken bike tours in other Latin American countries where the experience had been excellent. We met with the tour lead to review the bikes - which were too large and heavy given our physical size. When we did a trial ride nearby, the tour lead was concerned about the size of the bikes - they clearly weren't a fit. There were no other bike options. It also became clear that the tour was not as described online: a gentle ride through "iconic neighborhoods" depicted by a photo of no cars or pedestrians; a line-up of new hybrid bikes with upturned handles; on an empty street. It was, in fact, a tour through the city center of Oaxaca which had heavy traffic and crowds of pedestrians and no bike lanes. After discussion, the lead ultimately decided, based on size of bikes and amount of traffic, it wasn't a safe choice to proceed. Lastly, the store had no working toilet. The whole experience was disappointing and unacceptable. The leader tried to be helpful but there was not much he could do. When we wrote to Viator for a refund - first they said we were "no shows" - not true - then they refused to give us a refund. But said they hoped we would book with them again. Never.

It was a good ride through the downtown area. Not too professional but enjoyable.
Roman delivered a relaxed, safety-first way to see Oaxaca beyond the usual centre—perfect if you want barrios, street art, and history in just a couple of hours. The bikes handle the cobblestones well (although, ladies: be advised the bikes have men's saddles) and the small-group format means you get real attention from the guide. The route is a great snapshot of Oaxaca’s character—colourful barrios, murals/street art, and architectural/historic highlights. Roman also added context on both Oaxaca’s deeper history and more recent events, which made it feel like more than just a bike ride. Nice bonus: the start point is right by the famous aguas frescas spot across the road (Aguas el Posito), and I enjoyed stopping with Roman for a chocolate frío. Highly recommend if you want to cover a lot in two hours without it feeling intense.
OUTSTANDING! Romen was knowledgeable, flexible and totally engaged throughout out time together. I could not have hoped for a better experience. We stopped whenever i wanted to take photos or ask about places along the route and Romen was always eager to impart his info and wisdom about Oaxaca City, Mexican culture and history. It was a perfect way to end a 6 day stay in the city.
Cycling was a great way to see more of Oaxaca City than walking. Roman was our guide who grew up in the city and knew it well. He was very positive and high energy.
This was a pretty disorganized tour. It was more like hanging out with a guide who is really into bikes than seeing or learning much about Oaxaca. There was very little information shared about any of the places we saw. We would not recommend this tour.
Carlos was my guide and he was great! Very knowledgeable about the city and its rich history. Also just a great guy to be around, highly recommend!
Great way to spend a couple hours cruising around and seeing some architectural, historic sights and street art. Bicycles have big squishy tyres which made the ride over all the cobble stones smooth.
Great and super fun way to get to know the city, see beautiful art, and learn about spots with cultural and historical meaning! Would def recommend it to anyone who can cycle
This was such a fun and unique experience! Leo was so knowledgeable of the past and the present history of the city which made this tour that much better. I highly recommend doing this especially first getting to Oaxaca. It gives you a nice welcome and makes your experience here much more fulfilled! Thank you for all the local recommendations!
Fun time with Elece! My original flight was cancelled and they were extremely flexible about rescheduling. Definitely recommend.
Lovely way of visiting the city. Roman, our guide, was very friendly, attentive and passionate about his job. We really enjoyed the experience
My children were fascinated with the tour, it was a very pleasant experience, our guide is very friendly, I highly recommend them, you won't regret it.
We took the city tour and it was very good. The city is very beautiful and peaceful, there is a good atmosphere, it has beautiful traditions, we got to enjoy a calenda, it is very beautiful.
Touring the streets of Oaxaca by bicycle is a very beautiful experience, I recommend it at least once in your life, Oaxaca is very beautiful, schedule your tour.
I went with my son, and the tour was a good idea. He loved it. It was a good way to get to know the city and get some exercise. The staff was friendly when explaining the route. It was a little rainy, but that's part of the experience.
A great family activity. We all had fun and got to know the most beautiful streets. I recommend bringing enough food and a bottle of water. Totally recommended.
The streets of Oaxaca are truly beautiful, it's incredible to be able to explore them by bike, the tranquility you feel is enough to make you want to do it again.
The tour and visit to the city's neighborhoods were interesting. Even though there are no bike paths within the city, l appreciate the guide who tried to guide us through quieter and safer streets.
I really enjoy outdoor activities and was eager to get to know the city a little outside of santo domingo. I enjoyed the experience, especially because we were in a small group of five; the guide gave us his full attention.
This tour exceeded my expectations; Leo was more than a guide, he was a friend showing off his beloved Oaxaca. The beautiful places and the wonderful people I met on the route made the experience unique. The bicycle is super modern and everything is very safe; Leo made sure at all times that everything was fine, both that I was enjoying the experience and that my trip on 2 wheels was safe.
