Can’t say enough about the experiencia. Our guide Luis was excelente! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone in English or Spanish. This was the definition of adventure and cultural tourism. Luis was also very flexible with the route options to match our abilities on the bikes, this was extremely comforting and made the experience safe, challenging and enjoyable.

Xaagá, Oaxaca, Mexico Duration: 3 hours Entrance fee: Included Your bike adventure begins in Mitla, accompanied by a certified bilingual guide. After a short safety talk, we will equip you with a mountain bike and helmet. The tour will take you through scenic agave fields and rural roads that cross the Tlacolula Valley, in the direction of the traditional village of Xaagá. During this part of the tour, you will experience authentic moments of local life: peasants working the land, makers of adobe bricks, quarry workers and artisans who weave cotton textiles by hand. We continue pedaling to the prehistoric caves of Mitla, where we will leave the bikes to undertake a 2-hour scenic walk. Hidden among the mountains, you will discover ancient petroglyphs painted on the rock: powerful vestiges of early human presence, now recognized as World Heritage by UNESCO.
Visit to the archaeological area of Mitla (approximately 2 hours) Admission Included. Back in Mitla, we will explore one of the best preserved archaeological sites in Mexico. This important Zapotec ceremonial center is famous for its intricate stone mosaics, unique in Mesoamerica. Your certified guide will explain the symbolism, history and cultural relevance of the place, included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. It was a fantastic ride and Luis is a great guide . Had a hearty breakfast with hot chocolate served in a bowl . He has a lot of insights of the place people and culture and ended in a artisanal weaving family . He even made us a fantastic video to remember
Seeing Oaxaca from a bike is the best!! Luis is a great bike guide and organized everything for me - bike, helmet, even gloves! We saw the amazing Tule Tree, next the beautiful Tlacochahuaya Church which had amazing frescoes and cherub paintings, then the colorful Teotitlán del Valle to talk to a family of artisan wool rug weavers, and finally ended the bike tour at a cemetery to experience Day of the Dead celebrations. It was a truly unique experience, so much to see, thank you Luis!!
