The overall experience was great in terms of everything. The customer service was excellent! I would like to thank our boat captain Adriel for being a true professional. Furthermore, our guide Juan Carlos was simply excellent. His indepth understanding and ability to explain it was refreshing to say the least. His timing and professional manner is admirable. I highly recommend Juan Carlos and captain Adriel the reasons satated.

Our captain and guide were professional, informative, and very friendly. The wildlife sightings were amazing, including dolphins, whales, rays and sea turtles. It was a perfect outing all around!
Saw a lot of dolphins( I mean a lot) , a whale family and mating turtles. Here is my issue: they did not have functional Lifevests for everyone. They probably had 2 functioning lifevests with 15 on board on a rough choppy sea. That really raises my concern about safety standards. On other note, not really their fault, but the sea in very choppy ( most of the time I think) and a bigger boat could have been more comfortable to ride on.
This was such an incredible experience! We were picked up around 6:30 in the morning, then got a boat and went looking for Dolphins. All the similar tours work together to help find the Dolphins, and we lucked out and were able to find at least 500 Dolphins just swimming and frolicking together. Then they gave us life vests and snorkels and told us to jump in! The dolphins keep their distance but swim and jump around you. It was amazing. It also felt very respectful of the wildlife itself.
We had the most incredible trip- we saw so many dolphins. Amazing captain Charlie. Thank you so much
Absolutely loved this tour. Unfortunately we were not able to find an English speaking guide and none of us knew more than very basic Spanish. We were able to still enjoy the trip and find dolphins, turtles and whales! What an incredible experience!
Highly recommend! We saw 4 whales and hundreds of dolphins, so magical. The boat driver was very skilled. If you get seasick take tablets though, since it’s a bumpy ride. It was so beautiful on the water in the morning.
We we went on two tours with Eco Adventures - releasing baby turtles and Dolphin watching tour - both of which we greatly enjoyed. Efrain and his brother were fantastic at communicating about both tours and showed up on time with smiles on their faces. Very well run and reliable tour agency that I would highly recommend! The Dolphin Watching Tour was particularly memorable - we saw hundreds of dolphins, a whale and some large sea turtles!
Eco Adventures are wonderful! Super-responsive on WhatsApp, with superb staff. We went on a dolphin and whale-watching tour with them, and our boat captain was hugely knowledgeable - we were often the only boat with a school of dolphins, which gave us plenty of opportunity to jump in and swim with them in an experience we’ll never forget. We took a tour down the coast with Juan Carlos, who was an excellent guide, and really responsive to what we needed. A really brilliant company working in a really responsible and kind way.
So many dolphins, as far as the eye can see. You can swim with them and theyll race the boat as well. But the true highlight was the humpback whales who our guide allowed us to follow for some time. We also saw many birds, fish, and sea turtles. Overall, a great morning enjoying nature and well worth the price.
The tour was very nice. We saw about 30 dolphins and could swim with them. It was fun and really nice experience 😊😊😊 !!! BUT !!! Don't book it here per Viator. You can pay more less (like a half price) wenn you pay the tour directly to kapitan 😉
It was fun, and I enjoyed it. Pickup was smooth and we saw lots of animals, the boat was nice. Recommend
We did two excursion with Eco Adventures and both were great. The bioluminescent lagoon (Laguna Manialtepec) one night and the dolphin watching the next morning. this outfit is well-organized. The rides picked us up on time. Handoffs between the driver and boat captains were smooth. Everyone was friendly and informative. Nothing felt rushed or harried. For the bioluminescent lagoon, forget about the open lagoon and head for the floating tents. It's much darker in there and you can see about twice as much glowing. Try to avoid brighter nights (clear, full moon)--the darker the better. For the dolphins, we saw probably a hundred. We also saw two sea turtles getting it on, which was hot. for me, the boat ride and the Puerto Escondido skyline from the ocean was cooler than the dolphin viewing itself, but I've done several dolphin things in the past. Highly recommend either or both of these excursions.
Great experience! Alex, our captain, was very knowledgeable and a skilled boat driver. We had a great time.
Pick up and transfer with Mario went smoothly, very nice guy. Boat trip with Edgar was great too, saw hundreds of dolphins, sting fishes, turtles and lucky to spot a whale. It was incredible! They did their best to give us the best experience. Good info to prepare the trip in advance. The pickup time is informed a bit late, maybe because they have to wait to make the route until the last moment.
Great experience, we saw manta rays jumping out of the water, dolphins on various occasions as well as a number of whales and turtles. Our guide Edgar was great and very respectful to the animals, viewing from appropriate distance and not chasing them up. Recommended!
This tour was so fun, and Edgar was a great guide. We were lucky enough to see three majestic whales and also came upon a pod of probably 100 dolphins or more, all swimming, jumping, twisting, and swimming under the boat. We watched them for about 30 minutes and also got to jump in the warm water and swim around, with the dolphins swimming below us. Truly magical.
Such a Wonderful way to start the day. The staff was super friendly, and with only a few other people on the boat it felt like a nice intimate experience. We got to watch the sun rise in the harbor before we got on the boat. We saw many dolphins, humpback whales and sea turtles. I would highly recommend going out with these guys!
Brilliant trip! The guide was lovely and we saw dolphins, turtles and humpback whales! A really amazing morning.
We saw dolphins - that swam along side the boat, turtles, mahi mahi fish and even a whale! Was really special. The only thing is that I do feel bad that there are so many boats out there at once (different companies) looking for sea life.
This was an amazing tour. Saw not only tons of happy dolphins but sea turtles and even a humpback whale. Got great videos of the whale this something that I never expected to see in real life. The guide was awesome when I got a little sea sick towards the end. Peace and love
Trip was amazing seeing dolphins and sea turtles! It was over priced though for the quality of the trip; the guide on the boat barely said anything and didn’t give any information about the animals or scenery.
Booked a tour 2 weeks ago which unfortunately couldn't go ahead due to hurricane Agatha which of course is not Ecos fault. Was told that if adverse weather conditions cancelled the trip could re-arrange or get a refund. Since our trip was booked we tried to re-arrange any day for the week after. Have called, email and messaged but been completely ignored. Returned home so now require a refund and getting completely ignored 2 weeks after we paid and were supposed to go on our trip.
We were expecting to see maybe a small family of dolphins for our trip. Instead we saw a manta ray, several sea turtles, a coral snake, and a huge pod of dolphins! It was amazing to watch these intelligent animals up close in their habitat. Our guide Efrain was top notch. We are so glad we had this experience in PE.
We saw whales, sea turtles and a pod of thousands of spinner dolphins! So much fun. Even jumped in the water with them.
The tour was nice! We saw a lot of dolphins and turtles, and even a manta ray jumping out of water and a coral snake!
So many dolphins, literally thousands! And we swam with them. And saw turtles and flying stingray. Great experience, I highly recommend
Not quite as sold. Was supposed to be in English. Was not. Fortunately other travellers interpreted. Was suppose to be VIP while boat. Was not. A good trip none the less.
Amazing experience. We saw loads of dolphins, turtles, humpback whales and even Killer whales! Our captain Edgar was great!
It was just wow. Saw many whales and dolphins sea turtles as well.. Amazing experience. I would do it again and recommend
Carlos is a super captain! We saw whales, turtles and hundreds of dolphins. We were actually allowed to go into the water with them. Loved it!
It was amazing seeing the dolphins, whale, turtles jumping rays and flying fish. In retropect, it is concerning how these tours are harassing to some of the animals.
Incredible experience!! Saw hundreds of dolphins, some manatees, and two sea turtles. Captain Israel was reliable and funny. Highly recommend this excursion!
One of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen! Our Captain was very knowledgeable & respectful about the ocean. Also got the opportunity to swim & snorkel in the sea and a interesting way to meet other travelers.
During our week's vacation, we did two tours with Eco Adventures. Both were outstanding despite bad weather. First, we did the Ventanilla, Mazunte & Punta Cometa Sunset Adventure - we only got to do the Ventanilla part because of a torrential rainstorm, but it was absolutely wonderful. Efraim, our guide, was intensely knowledgeable about the wildlife that we saw. The baby crocodiles were especially memorable. Later in the week, we did the Dolphin Watching tour with Israel. WOW. We were worried that we wouldn't see anything because of the bad weather, but wiithin 15 minutes of leaving the shore, we found ourselves in a huge pod of common dolphins. The time we spent watching them - probably over an hour - was absolutely magical. We weren't able to swim because this species would not hang around if we got in the water but we learned so much about them and the other sea animals we saw. In sum, great organization - our guides Efraim and Israel were fantastic, truly knowledgable, and very engaging.
This activity was amazing!! We got to see about 2 schools of dolphins and even orcas! The caption, Johnny, said we went on a very good day but overall the experience was great! Our guide was Efrain, he was very helpful and nice! Would definitely recommend this for everyone!! Love this company
We took the morning ocean tour. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone. Captain Charlie meets you at your apartment early in the morning and takes you to a small cove where you will meet the boat. He then drives you five to six miles offshore where you will see flying stingrays, jumping dolphins, and sea turtles. Be sure to ask to borrow the goggles and jump in to swim with the dolphins. I was lucky enough to swim surrounded by (literally) hundreds of dolphins. An absolutely once in a lifetime experience. Worth every peso (and more!)
This tour is definitely worth it! Partly, depending what you see it's all luck (because wildlife) but the service they provide is excellent. They are super professional and know where to take you to see marine life. It's a must!!!
Had an incredible time! Nice dudes - very patient and knowledgable. Would definitely recommend to all my friends
Amazing experience AND we came upon (well our guide was looking for one and found it) a mother Whale and her calf. We stayed beside her and the baby for almost an hour as she swam, dove, and would come to surface. It was incredible. We were lucky to have the guide we did named Israel. He was so knowledgeable and his enthusiasm for the sea was palpable. He was kind, funny and worked hard to make sure we saw so many things. We came upon a school of over 400+ dolphins, jumping and swimming along side our boat and a solid number of sea turtle sightings too! Finally, he also took us along the coast line to orient us to Puerto Escondido and give us some really cool insights into the fisherman and the morning routines of the local fisherman. I highly recommend this very professional organization!!
Didn't have Trip ... Went to Puerto Escondido at agreed time but could not find designated beach ... No signage and locals we talked with didn't know of beach ... Are we talking about the same Puerto Escondido (south of Loreto Bay)? ... So, we missed a gorgeous day and we're out of pocket a fair bit of money
I had the best time with Eco adventures I went with Carlos on his tequilla boat! We saw so many dolphins and turtles!! Carlos was great when I felt a bit sea sick and he assured me that getting into the water would make me feel better (which it strangely did) we also snorkeled and saw and heard the dolphins under water. After the tour was done he called us back as his colleague had just spotted the whales and so off we went again, and yes we saw them a mother and baby whale swimming together ahhhh it was increcible. The next time I am in Puerto escondido will do this tour again and I honestly couldn't recommend this tour any more than I already have. Do it you won't regret it one bit. Thanks again Carlos!
We have done the dolphin watching about 3 times in Puerto Escondido with Captain Chon (you can contact him on WhatsApp +5219541100562), and it was breathtaking everytime! We saw a pod of 1000+ dolphins which was unbelievable and truly amazing. We also saw 2 humpback whales pretty close to the boat and many turtles and stingrays. Captain Chon is really thoughtful and a great captain, he gives plenty of information in Spanish and English and always tries everything for the experience to be unforgettable. I would highly recommend going with him if you are in Puerto Escondido. You will definitely not regret it.
A group of 8 of us went out with Robert in Puerto Escondido and it was the most amazing experience. We saw I’d say over 150 spinner dolphins, literally swimming next to our boat... it was unreal!!! We had someone in our group who got pretty sea sick and Robert was extremely accommodating and helpful and took us to a calmer beach so we could have a break. Highly recommend!!!
Well frankly this trip was utterly unbelievable....we left at 7am with the lovely Shaun and his boat the Milagros from Puerto Angelito whats ap him on +52-1-954-110 0562 a day ahead- first we saw a humpback feeding close inshore... then we went offshore about 5 miles out and found ourselves surrounded by in excess of two thousand spinner dolphins. No joke- they were EVERYWHERE and jumping out of the water spinning. i had my snorkelling gear with me, and then swam with them which was amazing, and Shaun and the boat driver were extremely careful, and attentive. We then went on to see numerous Oliver Ridley turtles - the area is a special nesting area for 5 of the 6 species of turtles., and January is a good time to see them The rest of the boat saw jumping mobula s - like small manta rays which I missed. I cant recommend this trip enough - but go early and take some coffee! Cost for entire boat private hire for 3 hours 3500 pesos or 600 per person.
We left the shore at sunrise with a group of 8 people on our boat. The boat had some shade, but sunscreen and a hat are definitely recommended. I would also recommend some kind of water protection for your camera or phone. Though you don't need to leave the boat, water splashes up and can get things wet. The boat driver first took us down the coastline pointing out the many beaches in Puerto Escondido, and gave a little information about each one. We then went looking for dolphins further from the coast, and it was only 10-15 minutes before we found many. The dolphins are incredibly playful and swin on the surface and do lots of spins and jumps. It felt like they were doing a show for us. We were allowed to swim, and they provided us with snorkle masks, but is seemed whenever we got into the water, the dolphins had moved on. But, there were so many and they were so playful on the surface, it didn't matter we couldn't see them under the water. We followed the dolphins around for a good amount of time before heading back. The water was rougher on the ride back to shore, so the return took more time. Heads up for those with sensitive stomachs! Overall a wonderful experience!
My group and I really enjoyed the dolphin watching tour. We got to see A LOT of dolphins, and for many of us it was our first time. The boat ride back was my least favorite part, but it was just because the water was so choppy. I would definitely recommend Eco Adventures and this tour, but just be aware that the boat ride back may be uncomfortable depending on the wind and the waves.
It as great to be able to see 3 species of dolphins and swim with the spinners! We took two teens and even with the early start time, they were thrilled. The highlight was being in a school of over a hundred spinner dolphins, having them right beside the boat, jumping in and hearing them squeak and click while we were in the water with them! Captain Joel was great - very attentive and answered all our questions!
This was a great tour! We were in a small boat with two other couples. Our guide, Jaciel, was informative and fun. We saw lots of dolphins and turtles. The snorkeling was amazing and we even saw some turtles mating! We also would stop to pull large pieces pf plastic if we came across any. They are very eco friendly and educational tour. I only have videos of the dolphins we saw but here is a turtle who hung out with us for a bit. The people were friendly and we would definitely recommend.
Starts early mourning and use a cuple hours. So you can spend the rest of the day in down town or beach. Grate for teens.... congrats.
