Edwardo does a great job. His English is perfect if you need an English speaking guide. Spanish, as well. He's lived in the area for years, so his knowledge is quite extensive. He will have a sign with your name just past the entrance to the pier if you're arriving at the port on a cruise ship. He will take you to several local sights with impressive views in a clean and air conditioned van. He will make several stops if the group is interested in shopping. Our group did go to a jewelry store where we stayed only about 10 minutes...enough time to browse and one person made a purchase. The "museum" sharing the loom process and culture was interesting. You can also shop for woven textiles or painted items/souvenirs. Another stop to a local shop for mezcal and coffee tasting, which was interesting. Clean restroom is available there. An informative and nice historical overview of the area.

This was a good shore excursion for a few hours to see some of the highlights. Edwardo was a very personable and knowledgeable guide.
This is a great tour for first time visitors to Huatulco. Eduardo (Lalo) is an excellent host. He has lived in Huatulco for a long time and knows the area well. We travelled in an oversized van that held 9 of us. Eduardo took us to see some beautiful areas. Just when we thought an area couldn’t be beat, we went to the next which was even more beautiful. We spent some time in town - saw how natural dyes are used in weaving blankets, rugs. Stopped in a jewelry store and a mescal tasting adventure. Then on to the most beautiful church to see the Lady of Guadalupe and hear the history. We were dropped off back at pier with plenty of time to shop and sit out at one of the restaurants overlooking the beach and ship. We enjoyed this excursion very much and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Huatulco.
There were just 9 of us on this tour and the mini van was full. We easily found our guide outside the cruise port and we got away slightly early. An excellent tour with views of the various bays in the area. We went into Crucecita where we visited a store selling Mezcal and other liquors if which we were treated to lots of samples! We also visited a rug making place and a jewellery shop. The Church of our Lady of Guadalupe was amazing. An excellent morning and thank you to our guide, Eduardo, who was very knowledgeable.
Eduardo sared a lot of excellent knowledge, and paced the tour to the capabilities of the whole group. Excellent job.
It was super informative of the area we're in. He was knowledgeable, polite. Eduardo was wonderful. He let us take our time in the shop to let us take our time taking pictures.
Eduardo is personable, so knowledgeable and very engaging. The tour has nice variety. The views of the bays and their beaches were beautiful, and we especially liked the mezcal tasting and textile demonstration at the artesanal shop in La Crucecita. His van is very comfortable with individual seats, and Eduardo even provides drinks. Highly recommend. Cinco Estrella.
Our guide, Eduardo, was very knowledgeable and informative. We had a little rough start as we had to locate one couple who missed a message about our meeting point. Once we were all aboard, we set out on a tour of the area around Huatulco. Seeing the bays from several different perspectives gave us a very good overview of the area. Our next stop was in a shop featuring many crafts from local artisans, including a working loom showing how woven articles are made. We then visited the Catholic church in La Crucesita, with touching displays of art work dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe. Last, we visited a shop where we sampled mezcal - both "plain" and several flavored varieties. A very enjoyable experience!
Sightseeing beautiful beaches, drive through streets with high end hotels, resorts, tequila or mescals tastings, shopping , our tour provides with water bottle drink and beer, nice and air conditioning vehicle
This started off as a nice tour. Small group of 10. We stopped at a few spots for very nice views and pictures. Then into town to visit a few places. The weaving and dye demonstration was good. The mescal tasting was fine. The church was ok. I felt pressured the minute I walked into the jewelry shop to buy something. I guess I felt like the visit to the town was mostly to get us to buy their goods. If that is your thing it would be a good tour for you.
Very good tour, good overview of the port. Our guide Carlos did a great job. The only things was we spent a little too much time at the jewelry shop.
Eduardo is awesome, great English, really knows a lot, and ensured we hit the high points comfortably and with plenty of water and beer. The rest of the group also kept commenting on how good of a guide he is.
We had an incredible day packed with beautiful photo stops, mezcal tasting, learning from local artists how textiles like woven bedspreads, tablecloths and other items are made, a visit to a beautiful Catholic Church and a visit to a jewelry store. Eduardo was the perfect tour guide. He was friendly, entertaining and extremely knowledgable as he taught us a little of the history of Huatulco.
Our guide was very good. He answered all of us questions and took us everywhere. He was very friendly and very patient and had a good sense of humor.
This was a very pleasant and informative tour. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The van was comfortable. We saw many beautiful sights and learned about the history of this seaside community. There were many scenic views and photo opportunities. Going to the arts and crafts coop and learning how these fifth generation weavers harvest and dye their threads naturally was a real highlight! I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing more than the beaches of this beautiful place.
Eduardo was a wonderful host and tour guide. Her has lots of experience and history to share. We arrived the day before, first time in this part of Mexico, and he gave us a great introduction to the city and the area. We saw most of the bays of Huatulco, some protected turtle nests, and bought a few things in town. Great experience, highly recommend
Eduardo was excellent! Great tour guide full of local history knowledge! Personalized a/c vehicle and good views.
Eduardo was so informative, he was very knowledgeable , he showed us many places. Thank you for a great trip. How they made the bedspreads and table runners was so cool. How they make different dyes was truly amazing
For anyone who hasn't visited Huatulco before this is a great tour. Eduardo showed us some interesting sites and gave us lots of information on the history of the area. Would definitely recommend.
I have travelled extensively all over the world and this was one of the best tours I've ever been on. Eduardo was an excellent guide and took us to all the interesting sights of Huatulco, stopping to let us paddle in the sea, taste Mezcal, visit the church, lighthouse etc while telling us all about the town. Free beer and water were included in this very reasonably priced tour which was considerably cheaper than any of the ship's excursions. There was no difficulty finding him at the gate where he had a sign with our names on it. The air conditioned mini bus was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend 100%.
Wonderful tour. Very thorough and driver was great! Eduardo was very knowledgeable and the stops were great.
Huatulco is lovely - the mountains and bays create a stunning backdrop. Eduardo (Lalo) was a great guide who obviously loves this place and his job. We toured to several viewpoints while Eduardo explained about the flora and fauna of the area. In town we visited an interesting museum/shop and learned about local weaving and textile dyeing techniques. Beautiful items handmade and available to purchase. Onward to mezcal and grasshoppers ( yes really). A great way to spend 3-4 hours in this beautiful place. We were dropped back at Santa Cruz beach where the beautiful sand and Pacific Ocean beckoned us for a swim
Excellent tour of the coast and downtown. Eduardo was our guide and did a great job! Ended up having just the two of us for the tour, so that was a welcome bonus!
Very nice and informative . Our tour guide, Edwardo, was very knowledgeable. Lots of interesting points of interest and phenomenal views.
It was a good tour. Guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. We saw everything that was promised except the church because it was Sunday. We took some great photos.
It was a small group in an air conditioned van. There were multiple scenic stops for photos. Eduardo was a pleasant and thoughtful tour guide. As a bonus, we were picked up at the port and so did not have to navigate finding the tour.. this tour was a great option for getting a good overview of the area.
Eduardo was great. He is a local and full of knowledge. He took us to places of interest and gave us deep history of the sights as well as Huatulco. Very friendly and courteous.
Probably the best shore trip we’ve ever taken. Our guide Mani was excellent and extremely knowledgeable.
Great experience, lots of interesting stops. Include mescal tasting and roasted grasshoppers. Also local carpet weaving.
Our tour guide Eduardo picked us up at the end of the dock as promised after our ship arrived. We were a group of 10. We toured several bays from a comfortable air conditioned van and then were taken to the town of La Crucecita where we tasted flavored Mescal and were given a short demonstration of traditional rug and tapestry making. Later we visited the local church which has great significance. Eduardo did a great job, my only problem was the stops in town were designed to gain additional revenue from visitors. I think this happens a lot on local independent tours.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Bays of Huatulco on Friday. Eduardo was an excellent guide. He shared his knowledge of Huatulco in a very clear, concise and light-hearted manner. We highly recommend this excellent tour to other visitors.
Eduardo gave us an excellent tour. Professional and very polite. He looked after us with cold water, a selection of local beers and took us to some beautiful places. I would highly recommend him, and would definitely use him again. Thanks Eduardo
This tour gives a great overview of the many bays of Huatulco, it's development and history. Eduardo is well informed and gives you time and space with the local artisans too.
Very good overview of Huatulco with a very experienced guide The duration of three and a half hours was ideal for this port
Pickup was prompt and at the end of the Pier as stated. Eduardo is an excellent guide. He helped my mother in and out each time from the van since she walks with a cane and easily loses her balance. He even moved a large out of her way to allow her to walk through instead of picking up her feet. Eduardo gave ample time and each stop and we never felt pressured to hurry up at any location. He shared a lot of interesting information and answered all our questions. This was my first tour ever booked through Viator and I immediately booked another one for our last port. Cannot say enough how pleasurable this tour experience was.
This was a great tour to experience Huatulco by land - we got to see some amazing views and if we return we will take a boat trip to see the other bays. Eduardo was a great guide and all the arrangements were well organised. The bus was comfortable and the beer/water was much appreciated. Eduardo recommended a coffee shop on our return, right in the centre of the lovely town and it served great coffee. We saw a large green iguana whilst enjoying our drink. Would recommend this trip if you want to stay on land. Huatulco is a lovely town with a nice vibe.
This was a great way to get an overview of Haultulco. Eduardo was very knowledgeable and could answer all your questions.
Travelled with Eduardo and 4 other customers to drive to five of the bays of Huatulco. Had opportunity to get out and take photos and Eduardo provided excellent commentary. Stopped for a mescal demonstration and some shopping in local store.
We did this on one of the first days in Huatulco and I recommend it to get your bearings and see what is off of the resort! Eduardo was very intelligent, answered all of our questions. Small group size and a comfortable ride in the van! Gave us some good ideas to do later in the week that we wouldn’t have known otherwise! He also provided water and beer during the trip. One stop including a local mezcal tasting. Would definitely recommend for trip planning and just a nice outing!
Eduardo was punctual and easy to find. His English was great and he was easy to understand. He provided us with a lot of information and took us to several vantage points to get photos. His van was modern with good A/C and he was a safe driver. We saw a lot in the short time we were there. Highly recommend!
Edwardo was a fantastic guide. Very knowledgable about the area and history. Would highly reccomend his tour!
Ship diverted due to tropical storm hitting huatulco on arrival day. Emails sent to Viator were not acknowledged.
A drive around to visit some of the beautiful bays of Huatulco. Stop at mescal/coffee shops was fun and not aggressive selling. Guide was informative All in all a pleasant experience
I booked the trip, had it confirmed. You took my money. I did not hear back until I sent an email to be told that it’s fully booked and my money will be returned. Your site allowed me to do the booking. It’s unfortunate and a travesty that a company your size & stature will allow this to happen to people like me who depend on site like yours to make these bookings. My advice to travelers, stay away from this site from doing any booking you want to count on when on holidays. The hotel option may be a tad more expensive but they are more reliable than this site. I was given the local supplier who I tried unsuccessfully to contact by a normal phone call, person would not answer. I did two WhatsApp invite, yet to hear back and I was expecting your supplier to NOT respond anyways. My advice to your company: treat your customers in a fair manner, they would be inclined to stay with you. Pick reliable suppliers locally that you can count on to deliver your bookings on your site. Good luck, my caution to all who want to book on this site, be wary that even they take your cash and confirm your booking, do not expect it to come to fruition.
Eduardo, our tour guide, met us at the end of the cruise pier with our names on a sign - so easy to find to start the tour. Excursion takes you to several stops where you have time for pics and beautiful views. Comfortable van holds up to 10 (we had seven of us) with AC. Corona and water included. Stopped in local shop for many samples of Mezcal and coffee. Visited the beautiful Our Lady of Guadalupe. Nice way to spend 3.5 hours on a cruise ship stop. City is clean and friendly. Enjoy!
Saw many beautiful bays along our bus ride and then went to local shop for Mezcal tasting which was great. Eduardo was our guide and was very knowledgeable.
We took this excursion from the cruise ship. Eduardo and Eric picked us up at the end of the pier. The ride was very comfortable in the air conditioned bus. They provided waters at no additional cost. The views were amazing and he explained everything so well. We loved this trip very much and highly recommend it. We saw the highlights of the area at a reasonable price.
Manny was a fantastic tour guide and we got some wonderful photos, sampled chocolate (including with grasshoppers), sampled Mezcal alcohol, shopped and had a great time.
We had a very good and informative guide and only 4 people on the tour. Saw the highlights with beautiful views. Comfortable SUV with AC. Beer and water included. Stopped in local shops for demo and samples of Mezcal, chocolates, coffee, fabrics and hand made products. Visited and seen the beautiful and huge ceiling painting of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Nice way to spend 4 hours on a cruise ship stop. City is clean, people friendly and it feels safe. Very nice hotels and restaurants if you stay longer.
We had a great time with our tour guide, Eduardo. He gave a great history of the Huatulco area and took us to the various scenic areas.
