I am writing to share my feedback regarding my recent stay at Hotel Siglo 17. The hotel has a great deal of charm and character, providing a very peaceful atmosphere. It was truly wonderful to hear the birds singing throughout the day, and I greatly appreciated the rich culture evident throughout the property.
Additionally, I want to commend your staff for being so kind and accommodating during my visit. Their hospitality significantly enhanced my stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and welcoming experience.

Our stay at Hotel Siglo 17 was absolutely exceptional.
1) The location is perfect: right in the heart of Oaxaca, within easy walking distance of all the main sights, yet quiet at night.
2) The hotel itself is stunning. It feels more like staying in an art gallery than a hotel, with beautiful design details and carefully curated artwork throughout. Every corner has character and charm.
3) Our room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable.
4)The rooftop swimming pool is a real highlight – not only gorgeous but also a perfect place to unwind after a day exploring the city or surroundings. The restaurant was also excellent, with consistently good food, incl. breakfast (though not included in the room rate) and a great atmosphere.
A very special mention to Nadia at reception – she truly made our stay unforgettable. Kind, warm, incredibly helpful and deeply knowledgeable about the area. She went above and beyond at every opportunity, and her genuine care and positivity made a real difference. An amazing human being :)

Funky! The courtyard was nice but the room was a 2-3 star, no taste in decor. Smaller bed and “room with view of courtyard” was not depicted accurately, in fact it has a dark feeling since if you open the shutters towards the garden other guests passing by get to see you.
No blow drier in the bathroom.
Towels, sheets and blankets in mediocre, older condition.
The staff was very friendly and the location was pretty good.
We can highly recommend this hotel. We had a wonderful stay. This former cloister with its beautiful courtyard and garden is an oasis of peace and quiet in the bustling Oaxaca Center. The rooms look out at the courtyard - they are clean, spacious and traditionally decorated.
Cleanliness and service were both excellent.
What stood out the most to us was the warmhearted friendliness of the people who work at the hotel. Liz, Patti and Nadia were especially warm and helpful.
Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The hotel was beautiful, clean, and welcoming, and every detail made us feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive — always ready with a smile and eager to help. Oaxaca already has a special magic, but this hotel made the experience even better.
