El Callejon Hotel Boutique

This hotel is in a great location with a very beautiful garden where you take breakfast, drinks and lounge. It's paradise. The breakfast however is weak considering the price. The bed a little uncomfortable albeit in a very generous sized room. The staff are friendly and helpful but not all of them. The ability to park securely is a big plus. It's expensive and the location and garden go some way to justifying the cost. I probably would return because I don't think there is much competition at this level. It's probably the best option in Oaxaca .

I have given this great hotel 5*s, but am going to start with a suggestionsl that I think would make this place even better. Simple: Put fridges on the rooms. This IMHO is the one thing missing. The staff are wonderful, really friendly and helpful. The location is close enough to the centre of Oaxaca to make it convenient, but far enough out to make it quiet and restful - and oasis of calm. Our room was large, bright and very clean. Couldn't ask for more (but fridges would have been nice!)

My husband, toddler and I had a wonderful stay at El Callejón hotel. The location is super convenient and the outdoor breakfast/bar area next to a large koi pond is beautiful, serene and provides great entertainment for young kids. The breakfast was high quality and the rooms are spacious and stylishly appointed. For the toddler- they provided a packnplay type crib which was sufficient. Note the bathrooms do not have tubs but this was a relatively minor inconvenience. If you want your child to sleep in a separate enclosed space make sure to ask for the master suite that has a sofa bed in a separate room with a door. Also we used their laundry service and driver services and both were excellent and reasonably priced. Overall, I felt the experience was definitely worth the cost and we would stay here again.

We had the most wonderful stay at El Callejón Hotel. We chose it as the place to stay with our closest friends and family for our wedding, and it could not have been more perfect. The hotel is beautiful—thoughtfully designed and welcoming, with spaces that made it easy for everyone to relax and spend time together. What truly stood out, though, was the incredible hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay feel special and accommodate us, and their warmth made our entire group feel at home. Hosting such an important moment in our lives there was incredibly meaningful. From quiet mornings to joyful celebrations with loved ones, every part of the experience felt memorable and seamless. We’re so grateful to have celebrated our wedding at El Callejón and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to stay in Oaxaca—especially for meaningful gatherings with friends and family. We can’t wait to return.
