I’ve recommended Casa Quiote because my experiences have always been positive. The combination of comfortable rooms, a convenient location, and a relaxing atmosphere makes it a great value. Sometimes online ratings don’t tell the whole story, my repeated stays have all been enjoyable, and I’d definitely return.

This is exactly what I look for in a boutique hotel: clean rooms, a peaceful atmosphere, and a great location. It’s not a theme park or an all-inclusive resort—it’s a hotel, and it does its job very well. Every stay I’ve had here has been comfortable, and I’d happily book it again.
Stayed for three nights. The teachers strike was ongoing during our stay, but it wasn't really a problem except for initially navigating to the closest parking garage as Google had no idea which streets were opened or closed. I'm not really sure why other reviewers are so angry about parking in particular -- this hotel is very centrally located and it's clear to me there would not be parking. With the strike ongoing, tents can make it difficult to navigate Centro, but it is not dangerous, and there are many other walkable areas outside of Centro to visit as well if you are interested in architecture photography. The hotel is EXTREMELY quiet. We didn't hear a peep of the outside world once past the front desk. There are two lovely courtyards, and one is covered with skylights. I enjoyed sitting in the covered one during a rainstorm while restoring my social battery. The bed is comfortable, there is free water, soda, beer, and electrolyte beverages, the AC works well, the rooms and hotel itself are clean, and the water is hot. I would normally deduct two stars for the following, but everything listed above was so great that I'm only deducting one star: The bathrooms. I'm begging hotel designers, PLEASE stop with the weird bathroom doors. Literally nobody wants that. I've never met a single person who has said "you know, I'd really like to make my bathroom experience more communal". In this particular hotel, the bathroom door takes the form of a frosted glass stall door. That's right -- no top, and no bottom, so anyone you might be sharing the room with can definitely hear and/or smell anything going on in there. And as you might expect in a room with such an aesthetic, the bathroom sink is just slanted concrete -- not slanted enough for toothpaste to make it's way all the way down without the aid of cupped handfuls of water, but perfectly slanted enough to splash water all over you and the rest of the bathroom if the water pressure is turned too high. Luckily, there is a deep, normal sink in the kitchenette. And finally, the shower. If you are familiar with the type of hotel bathroom I've already described, I'm sure you can guess that there is neither a door or a curtain on the shower. It's quite large, but most of the space is on the side where the shower head isn't, and the only shelves are where the shower head is, at least that was the layout in our room. Because the wall where the shower head is is not deep, water, again, is prone to splashing all over the place. And it's a waterfall shower head, so not only does it make it more difficult to rinse out long hair or avoid getting your hair wet, but they are prone to clogging and shooting water in every direction. If you aren't picky about a bathroom, this place is five stars. But as someone with long hair who values privacy, I was bummed about the bathrooms. But again, the quiet, comfort, and cleanliness more than made up for it. Oh yeah, bracelets opened the doors, too, which felt kind of gimmicky. Respectfully, just give me a slim key card I can fit in my wallet.
We had a lovely stay here. The design of the rooms are beautiful and our room supieses us with a small kitchenette. The staff is extremely warm and welcoming and the location is unbeatable. Rooms are extremely quiet too.
Beautiful modern hotel in the Centre of Oaxaca. The location is perfect. You can walk anywhere, yet inside of the room is really quiet and you don’t feel you are in the middle of Centre. The bed is so comfortable and the shower got hot water instant. The staffs are very helpful and polite. Bonus - all drinks in the fridge are free including beers. Highly recommended!
