About Activity
Rothenburg is among the oldest and most renowned towns of Romantic Germany. Between 1170 and 1240, it held the status of a Free Imperial City. Ideally positioned along the gently winding Tauber River, the town occupies a commanding yet picturesque setting. Walking through its narrow cobblestone lanes feels like stepping into another century. The medieval old town has been exceptionally well preserved, where visitors can appreciate the timber-framed houses, the historic Town Hall, and the impressive city walls that still surround it.
