Hannes was informative and professional and shared his knowledge of history and architecture with us. He was easy to understand and I recommend this tour if you want to get a good introduction to the history of Nuremburg.

Hansi was professional and informative. He had great depth of knowledge and linked buildings, architecture and history together in an interesting way. I recommend this tour for a great introduction to the Nuremburg old town.
Dimitri was very entertaining and gave a great tour with heaps of interesting history about Nuremberg
This tour was exactly what I was looking for, a tour of the old town, river, bridges and a view from the castle. Niklas was very informative, funny and showed he cared about his group. Walking up to the castle could prove challenging for some but Niklas made sure everyone was good. Would highly recommend this tour.
Nick was a great guide and lots of good information, would recommend to others. Good tour of the old city of nuremberg.
Very informative, well paced. Dimtri did a very good job. We explored from the train station through to the castle.
Although our guide was very knowledgeable regarding the history of Germany and Nuremberg, I felt his language at times and choice of photos he shared with the group were inappropriate.
Niklas was an AMAZING tour guide. Very informative and humorous. It was a great experience. A bit of a climb to the castle but definitely worth the calf workout.
Nick was fantastic! Very informative and enlightening. Nick mixed humor with information, telling stories and making points to make sure we knew what was fact and what was believed. Also, he kept a great pace and still made time to answer all questions. Was a highlight of our visit.
Great very good English. Would have.lukes to visit the churches but saw them the next day. Lovely xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxzzzzzzz Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxzzzzzzzzzzxxx
~ walking up steep hills! There was also a second half of the tour that some of us did not know about. A bloody shame ~ I wanted to try the red beer, sigh. We also passed a closed church because they were filming an English show. We saw the extras standing around outside. I laughed really hard because the knight when he walked, squeaked! His shoe/ foot coverings were rubber! Ha!
Hannes (“Johannes” minus the “Jo”) is a great guide; knowledgeable, funny, and helpful! The walk was fun and only slightly strenuous.
The tour was wonderful and very informative, our tour guide Khris was genial, comical and knowledgeable. We viewed many sites and received a lot of information regarding the history of this historic town. We highly recommend to everyone.
Good tour with knowledgeable guide. Length of tour in time was adequate for most ages and fitness level, even the last hike up the hill to the castle
Hannes (Johannes) was an excellent tour guide. He was truly local flavor! He was fun and very knowledgeable about the city and it's history. We enjoyed the tour through old town Nuremberg and stopping for lunch. The tour of the rally grounds was interesting too. Great tour with Hannes. We highly recommend!
Dimitri was our guide for the Nuremberg Old Town Walking tour and he was excellent - we all enjoyed the tour mainly because his knowledge about the Historical perspective was very good. I highly recommend this tour because it gives a great introduction to the city of Nuremberg.
When we visited there for the first time, the guide was good and escorted us, which was enjoyable. He understood the history of acknowledgement well. Just for us that it's difficult found out for meeting place from Munich by train, even we asked the place at information centre. We used Google Maps. Maybe mention the building or shop name near the meeting place that it's great. Thanks.
Well paced 2 hours with excellent commentary on highlights of old town - guide Elizabeth was very knowledgeable on history of the city and kept a good pace
We had a lovely tour of Nuremburg's Old Town with Achim. We very much enjoyed his thoughtful presentation of cultural and historical points. Highly recommended!
Our guide, Jeff, was very knowledgeable and fun to listen to. It was very nice to hear details about the location we were vacationing in.
Entertaining and informative guide. Beautiful city and enjoyable tour. Felt like I got a good flavor of the city!
We enjoyed this Nuremberg old town tour. Our tour guide Suzanne was very knowledgeable about the town, it's history and highlights.
Paul was an excellent tour guide full of excellent information and very passionate about the history involved. Highly recommend him
Guide was quite knowledgeable. He was opinionated and sometimes offensive. If he had managed time better we wouldnt have missed the once-a-day clock experience by 10 minutes.
I didn’t have much time to explore , because I was on duty, but it looks beautiful, full of history and I definitely want to return.
The tour was so good. We saw all the highlights of the town, but we weren't in a rush. Lots of climbing, but it was so fun!
We enjoyed a wonderful and informative tour with Natasha our guide. It's a great way to see the old town and get your bearings. We returned to some of the signs ourselves at a later time to explore them more. Definitely will be back to Nuremberg again at another time of the year to explore further.
Whenever traveling independently, my wife and I always try to do a walking tour when visiting a city for the first time. Our walking tour in Nuremberg did not disappoint. It was an excellent introduction to the history and cultural dynamics of not only the city but in the surrounding area. Our guide was excellent and we were never stressed in terms of keeping up with the group. It was a wonderful way to spend the day and we recommend it highly.
Fantastic walking tour of the old town. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Even the rain didn't dampen her enthusiasm.
I never knew the history of Nuremberg and it was really just a day stop for us but this tour turned it into one of our favorite places. Nik was very informative and kept it moving. Now we will need to return to spend more time with the sights.
Jeff was great…even in the rain! Hit sites we would not have even considered and he did a great job as a historian.
Very knowledgeable and engaging guide: his enthusiasm really brought the city's history to life for us.
Jeff was a good guide. Would encourage him to use more than a water bottle has his “flag” as there were multiple walking tours in the same area. Maybe even wear a colorful shirt or hat so he would stand out in the crowd. Good general tour of the old city,
The guide was Scottish but had lived in Nurnberg and was married to a local. She was knowledgeable and engaging. The old town part was very interesting.
It was a great tour with great information about the tour The information about the history of Nuremberg was good to know Plus the afternoon walk the steps of the 3 Reich was very interesting
It was great, entertaining and very interesting ! The guide had great knowledge and a good sense of humour. Danke !
A thorough tour of the old city from Wall to Wall. Guide knowledgeable and had obviously done his homework. Excellent photos to show us WW2 damage and Nazi parades in the 1930s. Took care of group and made a point of understanding where everyone was from and why
Enjoyable tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Wish I had booked the extended tour covering Hitler but time did not allow for this.
Elizabeth, our tour guide, was exceptionally good. The city is full of historic sites, both famous and infamous. Seeing as many as possible with reliable information is a must. I would rate this as a vigorous walking tour. It is worth the price and the steps if you can.
The guide was incredible! I would recommend him to all future visitors and had a wonderful time. I learned about the history and actually joined the afternoon tour as well since it was so good. I would love the guide’s information.
The guide was quite enthusiastic and knowledgeable about many aspects of the city. However, he was at times coarse and profane. He spent much time talking about beer and wine but reflected contempt for Christian institutions.
The whole tour was memorable and very well explained. The guide was very friendly and funny. Would do it again
This tour was great, it was led by a man with a PhD in history so he really knew what he was talking about and he was able to answer all questions. When touring the old town he gave recommendations for food/wine/Lebkuchen and I had an excellent lunch at the restaurant he recommended. Then we went to Zeppelin field after the lunch break and we were given an in depth history of the Nazi rallies that took place there. It was very interesting and informative and I would recommend it to anyone.
We had a great experience on the walking tour with our guide Kevin. He was super knowledgeable, charismatic, and flexible. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Nuremberg and looking to learn about the city!
Jason was so knowledgeable and gave a great tour. Highly recommend this walking tour – a fantastic way to learn the history of Nuremberg in a couple of hours.
We really enjoyed our walking tour of Old Town Nuremberg. Jason is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. He made sure we had breaks if needed and that everyone was comfortable. We got a late start due to the train system, but Jason was careful to communicate with us very quickly about the delay. His German pronunciations and knowledge of the area inspire confidence. We would definitely book with this tour group again.
An interesting and enjoyable tour. Our tour leader was very friendly and made the tour a very informative one.
Our tour of Nuremberg was okay except for the tour guide using to many curse words/inappropriate language for the three children In the tour. At one time he was explaining about the Catholics acquiring the central church and the Protestants left nothing for the “Crappy Catholics”. He could have used other language to explain history and not be derogatory towards faiths and inappropriate language for the young children. I do not recommend this tour for families with children.
took the combination walking tour which is two hours then coupled with historical poriton of visiting old nazi locaitons. walk up to the castle is tough on most everyone. not wheelchair accessible.due to incline and comblestone streets
Hannahlore is a most excellent guide. We learned so much from this tour and every minute of the tour was spell-binding as the history of Nuremberg was brought to life by Hannahlore. We bought out tickets for this tour at the Visitors Center in Nuremberg Old Town. Both Visitors Centers in Nuremberg (the one close to the Train Station) and the one near market place are the perfect places to stop while in Nuremberg.
