Great tour! Loved learning the history of Nuremburg as well as touring Old Town and the Rally Grounds. We had an absolute beautiful day, and the city is so lovely. Dimitri was a great guide!

Phenomenal! Long day wear your sneakers!!! Just a wonderful experience if you are looking for history TAKE this tour! Johannesburg was full of factual and historical information that I promise you - you did NOT know. 10 stars!
While the tour of the city was good, the tour referred to 'Nazi Rally Grounds'. We were taken to the 'Luitpoldhain' field and not the Zeppelinfeld (The Zeppelinfield is the main Nazi rally field). So, should you wish to join this tour, ask if the Zeppelinfield is to be visited; otherwise, you may be VERY disappointed. This is like going to the Louvre and not seeing the Mona Lisa! Or you can catch a Tram/light Rail or taxi (for about 20 Euro).
Dimitri was an awesome tour guide. There is so much amazing history to see and learn about in Nuremberg and he did such a good job of hitting the key points and keeping us moving, while inspiring interest in learning more on our own. Very good tour!
Nikolas was funny, engaging, and really knew his stuff! We learned a ton about Neuremburg and every beergarden or restaurant he recommended was amazing as well.
What a fantastic walking tour with so much knowledge and history shared by Nik. He was an amazing tour guide and so passionate about sharing the history of the city, with open and honest description of the nazi era. He was very keen to share his knowledge on the local area including cafes, sausages and breweries. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about this lovely and historic city.
Whilst I enjoyed the day and the tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable, my only caution to the company would be to comment neutrally on modern politics. It’s understandable to have opinions, however being mindful of differing views will ensure everyone enjoys the day equally
This was a great tour! We learned so much about the fascinating history of Nürnberg. Our guide, Niklas, (a history and English teacher) was outstanding and shared so much interesting history with us. We definitely recommend this tour!
The guide was engaging, informative, intelligent and kind. He gave short breaks when needed and offered good suggestions.
Dimitri was a great guide, sharing the medieval history as well as the WWII history. He was conscientious, making sure the pace was comfortable for all. He was knowleable and explained things well. His English was excellent. Definitely recommend!
Our guide Dimitri was very knowledgeable of the history of the area and also made it interesting to our group. He answered all our questions and the time flew by.
The tour was definitely money well spent. Niklas, our guide, is extremely knowledgeable about Nuremberg's history, major landmarks, and the city's connection to the Nazi era. He was also very funny and engaging throughout the tour. He shared many interesting facts that would be difficult to discover on your own, including insights into local beers, breweries, the football team, and much more.
This tour led by Niklas was by far the most interesting, engaging, educational, informative and entertaining city tour we have ever taken. And we have taken dozens of these type tours across Europe and the United States. Niklas did a magnificent job of telling the history of Nuremburg and the various iterations of the German Republic in the history of Germany's existence. And the dark era of the Nazi regime was not neglected. I can't recommend this tour enough. A must if you love history told in an entertaining way
Our tour guide Niklas was fantastic. His knowledge of the historical poignancy of Nuremberg is deep and our tour of Old Town lively … we recommend this tour particularly if you’ve an eye on history.
Niklas was enthusiastic and entertaining. I learnt so much about Nürnberg and I’m enchanted with it - despite some of its dark history. Highly recommend.
We had a fabulous time on this tour. Niklas was very entertaining, had excellent knowledge regarding all the sites we visited and was very enthusiastic about the fascinating history of Nuremberg. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a great understanding of the beauty and history of Nuremberg.
This is such a great tour! Lots of points of interest covered over the 4 hours, and any travelling via transport was covered by your ticket fee - great value for money! Nik is a great tour guide and very knowledgable and informative. I would highly recommend this tour!
Nick gave us a warm welcome to Nuremberg. He was very knowledgeable about the city and it's history from medieval times to WW2. Highly recommend this tour!
Dimitri was an excellent tour guide showing highlights of the area. It is a lot of walking on cobblestone streets so wear comfortable shoes.
Be prepared to walk, though not strenuously. There is a lot of ground to cover both the history and physical walking.
We highly recommend the Nuremberg Old Town and Nazi Rally Grounds tour. We met our excellent guide, Hannes, at the Munich train station upon arrival from Frankfurt for the two part tour. In the morning, we toured the Old Town, which was originally a walled town divided by the Pegnitz River. We stopped at the Town Hall, Town Square with the Schöner Brunnen (Beautiful Fountain) and Church of Our Lady. We then walked up to the Castle at the top of the hill. We had a quick lunch at Bratwursthausle, home of the small Nuremberg Bratwursts, which were excellent as was the Franconia red bier. After lunch, we headed to the Nazi Rally grounds via bus. This part of the tour was somber and sobering as Hannes walked us past the Hall of Honor, parade grounds and Congress building while sharing the history and heinous acts of the Nazi regime. He shared that in the 1970’s mandatory education about this period became mandatory in German schools, so that future generations never forget. This was a comprehensive sightseeing and history tour, which should not be missed.

Dimitri was very Knowlegable about the history of Nuremberg. Despite the challenging situation of a march at the meeting point for the bus he worked around and got us to the Rally Grounds. Cheers Dimitri
We had a terrific day with Nik. He was entertaining, informative, and adapted well to the participants and our questions/interests. I’d highly recommend this tour as an introduction to Nuremberg and its history from Middle Ages thru WW2 till now.
Our guide Dimitri was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the old town history and very friendly. Everything we saw was included in the tour price, no extra or hidden fees. Just be prepared for a lot of walking. Would recommend to anyone who wants to see the Nuremberg old town.
Natasha was FANTASTIC! Very knowledgeable and communicated clearly. Great English with fun Scottish accent.
Highly recommended! If you have the opportunity, definitely take the tour with Nicklas. I learned so much about Nuremberg in 4 hours, from its fascinating history to many interesting facts. What made the experience especially memorable were the personal stories he shared about his own family, which brought the city’s history to life. Nicklas is knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about Nuremberg. This was one of the highlights of my visit, and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Our tour guide, Dimitri, was great. The old town tour was interesting and enjoyable and he was very informative.. We had a little look at the document centre after lunch but the day of the tour the rally grounds were inaccessible due to a car race. And apparently they are being restored for the next few years so you cant see a lot of it anyway and you cannot access the areas I booked the tour specifically to see. I'm disappointed we weren't told this prior to booking. Especially that we would not be going to the rally grounds at all on july 4th due to the car race. I would have booked another city only tour. We should not have been charged for the second half of the tour. Actually, that tour really should not have been offered that weekend as the tour operators would have known about the race. Feeling disappointed about the lack of disclosure prior to booking.
Perfect experience!! Our guide Hannes was incredible, fun and so knowledgeable! Nuremberg is an enchanting city! Certainly surpassed my expectations!
We had a very enjoyable tour with Natasha, despite the 35 degree heatwave. The tour was informative and well organised and a good amount of time to see the main sites of Interest.
Very interesting tour and we learned a lot about the history of Nuremberg, and visited the huge congress hall. The guide Dimitri was excellent, approachable and knowledgeable. A disappointment though was that the tour did not go to the actual rally grounds site on Zepplinfeld. I walked there after the tour finished and 2 other tours were there. We could easily have gone there as was 10 minutes walk max from where the tour finished. There isn’t much to see as it’s mostly a construction site but you can clearly see where the Nazi hierarchy stood and get a feel for rallies. I’d suggest this is added to this tour as it stated in the tour title and is the main reason I booked this tour. We also didn’t visit the castle - the guide said it was too hot to climb the steps to it, our group seemed fine to do it to me though so that was a bit odd. I’d recommend going in the Documentation Centre after the tour. It’s built in to the Congress Hall and is fascinating and very well done.
This was a fun little walk through old town Nuremberg with a great history lesson. Our tour guide, Dimitri, was very knowledgeable and made learning about the history of Nuremberg fun!
This tour was one of my favorites. In America when something is old we go back a couple of hundreds of years. The monuments and history that we saw on this tour dates back millennia. As a history buff I enjoyed the stops that were tied to the Nazi party's propaganda machine, but even more the tour was focused on the history of the city. We saw the "old town" which had so much to view and understand that one day isn't enough. What made it best was the guide who was extremely knowledgeable and was able to tie the "old" part of the town to more recent events in the 20th century. A must for all history buffs primarily because of the nexus between old and new city.
The Old Town portion of the event was very interesting and Niklas really knew his stuff. We expected the Rally Grounds portion to be the most interesting portion of the tour, and it was the main reason for booking this event, but because Rock Im Park was getting set up, we could not get very close (though Niklas tried his best, and hopefully won't get in trouble for skirting the fencing) and we could not get much of a feel for the size and scope of the area. We stayed behind and visited the Documentation Center and that was a great add-on to the tour.
Great guide. Learned a lot about the town. Guide gave great suggestions for additional places to see.
The tour is advertised as Rally Grounds (plural). We were taken to one park and shown photos. The main ground ‘Zeppelin field was not included. When I asked about this I was told that we had run out of time? From my perspective it was never intended to visit the Zeppelin Field. It was like going to the Louvre and being told we did not have time to see the Mona Lisa. Had I known this I would have just caught a taxi for Euro 20 or tram to see the site. Extremely disappointing.
Our guide provided a good introduction to the old town of Nuremberg and the history behind it. He was able to navigate us through the crowded streets which was most helpful!
A very nice walk through the city with visits to the castle. Very informative tour in every detail. So much rich history.
Nick was first class. Fascinating and fun tour with lots of insights. Weather wasn't great but the tour couldn't have been better.
Enjoyed the time hearing more about the city main area as well as WW2 impact to it as well as the rally grounds.
Nicholas was great. Showed us lots of interesting things and shared stories about his family during the Nazi government.
We were really looking forward to this tour andit was to be a highlight of our stay in Nurenberg. Unfortunately, we were cancelled the evening before as we were the only ones booked. No other options available at short notice. Very disappointed
Our guide meet us at the main train station, she was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a comfortable walk with lots of stops. She gave us enough time to find a quick lunch. The 2nd half took us on a bus to the Nazi documentation center and rally grounds. Then a bus back to the train station. Be aware the Documentation center currently only has one floor open but still charging full price. If you decided to stay and explore more on your own you will need a bus pass as it is quite far from the old town area.
We really enjoyed our Nuremberg tour. Our guide Natasha was really friendly, and really knowledgeable of Nuremberg, it's history and it's part in WW2. It was a four hour tour, but didn't feel long, because it was so interesting and enjoyable. There was also a break for a short lunch in the middle. We would totally recommend this combined Nuremberg tour and Natasha as a guide!!
We loved our tour with Hannes! He was so knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned so much and had such a great time. Would highly recommend!
Hannes was a great guide. The tour was well organised and explained the plan of action clearly. It was very informative. Can highly recommend.
The tour did not go to the Rally Grounds. It was very deceiving where the tour would go. And, the group was HUGE and there were no speakers, so it was very difficult to hear what was being said.
Our tour guide was Hannes (John) Ziener and he was exceptional. His knowledge about all things Nuremberg was incredible. He loved history and it showed in the information he shared. 4hrs was a long time for a walking tour but it was worth the effort. We covered a lot of ground. I would highly recommend this tour, and hopefully you may be lucky enough to have Hannes as your guide.
Hannes was an amazing guide. His knowledge of the city of Nuremberg was so extensive along with his political and geographical knowledge. He has a wonderful sense of humour. He engages very well with his tourists. One of the best ever town walks we have done. Thank you Hannes.
We thoroughly enjoyed Petr our guide, he was funny and very informative, groups are max 24 so you can easily keep up and hear what is being said. He covered most of the major parts of town
