Eric did a great job showing us around Nuremberg with 4 stops for tasty local food & drink! He was very knowledgeable, and super easy to tour with, as a native English speaker. It was like a private tour with only the four of us signed up, and we really enjoyed chatting. What an enjoyable way to spend a half-day.

Itinerary
Embark on this culinary journey in this charming German town. You will explore the Mitte district, the central area of Nuremberg, and you will try a multitude of local flavours, which have made Nuremberg a town to discover through your taste buds, as well! Please, bear in mind that the tastings here described can change according to the season and the availabilities of our partners.
We will start our tour in one of the most famous squares in town, where you will have a view of St Lawrence Church, a medieval church of the former free imperial city of Nuremberg. From here, you will take a walk across the southern part of the Mitte district with our Local Expert and have a taste of a staple of German cuisine: bretzels!
In the magic atmoshpere of this local medieval neighbourhood, where the houses are small and half-timbered, the streets are narrow and the artisans showcase their know-how, you will have a taste of one of the most famous dishes in town: Nuremberg Sausages. Deliciously grilled and of course served with a glass of Franconian beer. A regional favourite!
Have a seat in this charming restaurant near the house of the famous German painter Albrecht Dürer and try one of the most famous dishes in town: Schäufele! It's a slow-roasted, tender pork shoulder known for its rich flavor and crispy crust. We’re serving an original twist on this classic: pulled pork-style Schäufele! Simply unmissable
You will end the tour on a sweet note, indulging in one of the most delicious local desserts, the famous Lebkuchen. It's a traditional gingerbread that has been made in the city for centuries. These spiced cookies, often glazed or coated in chocolate, offer a deliciously sweet and aromatic treat. Enjoy them with a stunning view on Nuremberg Castle, an imperial symbol of the glorious past of this town.

Don’t eat breakfast before you take this tour. Lots of food and beer. The guide, Eric, was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and its history. We had a slower walker and at no time did we feel rushed. .
Eric was amazing. Linda, Carol, and I felt like Eric was our brother showing us everything Nuremberg had to offer. He was very knowledgeable, insightful, helpful, and a pleasure to sit down with to have a meal. We will definitely recommend Eric to others planning on coming to the Nuremberg area.
Eric was an absolute legend. Easily one of the highlights of our time in Nuremberg. He made the whole experience fun, relaxed, and genuinely memorable from start to finish. Great energy, great stories, and the kind of guide who makes you feel like you’re exploring the city with a friend rather than following a tour. If you’re visiting Nuremberg, book the food tour with Eric. You won’t regret it!
Eric was incredibly knowledgeable about the city, culture, and any random history question I could possibly bombard him with. His enthusiasm for history was evident and was a genuinely good hang
Fun tour but sometimes the food doesn't exactly match the description. Don't eat much beforehand. Food was good.
Eric was the best. Very comfortable to be around, gave tons of information without it being boring and gave us great suggestions for the rest of our stay in Germany.
The tour of the city was fantastic. Hermann reached out prior to our tour to introduce himself and offer suggestions. He is very knowledgeable about all things Nuremberg. The restaurants and food selections were all tasty and gave us a way to try German food. His English was easy to understand. I would highly recommend booking this tour.
This is a fabulous food tour that weaves a lot of medieval and WWII history of the city into it. Honestly, the tour is much better than its rather dry description. Herman was our guide for almost 4 hours as we walked, talk, and ate (and ate!) our way through the city. I have done many food tours around Europe - this is one you shouldn’t miss. Fantastic!
We had a great time with Hermann. Very knowledgeable and personal. A food tour and history tour in one.
This is a fantastic tour mixing history and fantastic sausage, pretzels and amzing Gingerbread cookies Wheat and red beer where offered, Since I don't drink, I received received Cola light. ERIC(our guide) deservez an Attttt
One of the best food/city tours we've ever had. Hermann is so knowledgable and passionate about Nuremburg. He was so committed to making this tour the best we ever had. Hermann was friendly and was our best friend by the time we were finished. He planned the next two days activities for us. We actually did 90% of what he suggested. Thanks Hermann!!!
Our tour was wonderful, Latifa was a great tour guide. I traveled with my four year old and she even took the initiative to provide a stroller to make it easier for him. She was extremely friendly and made us feel very comfortable and informed about the food and culture. Thank you so much, would recommend.
We had a lovely day and learned so much about Nuremberg. The food was delicious and plentiful! Latifa was knowledgeable about the food, the city, and beyond! She made great choices for places to stop and gave great recommendations for additional visits after our tour. We would recommend this tour to anyone!
We enjoyed our tour with Eric. We saw pretty lot of the Nurnberg. Eric told us some interesting stuff about history, gave us tips and the food during the day was very good😀 we recommend this trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour of Nuremberg with Latifa. She is delightful — very knowledgeable, engaging, friendly, and professional. At each of our food stops we were able to sit down and savor some of Nuremberg’s most delicious foods. It was a great way to get to know Nuremberg!
Great history and great food. What more can you ask for? Eric had some great stories and answered questions really well! Definitely recommend!
Great way to experience the delicious local food, see the sights and learn more about the history of Nuremberg. Our guide, Eric Loomis, was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging which made the experience even better.
Great tour with lots of delicious food samples! Very knowledgeable guide with tons of information to share.
This was a great tour of Nürnberg. We are partial to food tours because not only do you get a history of the area but you also learn about the food that is important to the culture of the people. Our tour guide was knowledgable of the history of the area and took us to the major tourist spots in the old town. The food was well chosen as representative of Nürnberg cuisine and very tasty. The cultural history of the food was interesting. I would recommend this tour to friends and family.
My husband and I had an amazing experience touring and tasting in old town Nuremberg with our guide Eric. He was personable, shared many insights, and followed up with us after the tour with some additional recommendations!
My parents had an amazing time being shown around Nuremberg with Eric. They returned from the food tour feeling full, and enthusiastic about the food and history of the city. They highly recommend both Eric and the tour!
Excellent way to get to know Nuremberg, its culture and gastronomy. Eric is an excellent guide, friendly and able to hold the attention of the group.
