Peggy’s Cove Express Tour: Scenic Guided Experience

We loved Halifax and particularly Peggy’s Cove. Gorgeous place and very scenic drive there. Our guide Iqbal was on time and very accommodating to our group.

Jay was a great tour guide and driver. We were under the weather and Jay helped us out by stopping at a pharmacy to get some medicine.

Iqbal was wonderful. He shared his knowledge of the area and insights of the best places in Peggy's Cove. Our adventure was a great time. Thanks, Iqbal!

We had a great experience traveling to Peggy’s Cove with Jay. On the way, Jay shared interesting facts and stories about the area and made sure to point out the scenic views. He gave us plenty of time to take in the beauty of Peggy’s Cove and explore the area before heading back to Halifax. Jay offered recommendations for getting the most out of our day! We highly recommend this excursion.

Our driver was excellent, but we did have some difficulty understanding his English. Perhaps if he spoke a little more slowly we would have understood more.

A simple but thorough tour. Our guide was awesome with history, facts and plenty of humor to keep us smiling.

This is essentially a taxi ride to the cove and not really a guided tour. It would have been helpful too have more of a guidance to her along with the taxi ride

Our guide was wonderful. We had a lovely ride to Peggy's Cove. It definately is a place to see with your very own guide!!

We toured with Jay who picked us up promptly as we disembarked are cruise ship. This was a private tour for 3 people. We ended up with only two because one of us was not feeling well. Jay’s car was beautiful and clean with moon/sun roof windows where you could look up at the colors of the beautiful trees. He was very knowledgeable and shared the “fairy tails” as well as the actual history of Halifax and Peggy’s cove. He stopped along the way for photo taking of the beautiful bays and lakes. He was attentive and kind. He kindly offered to stop at a drug store on the way back to pick up cough medicine for my husband who was ill. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend Jay!

Good tour. Our guide Nav, met us right on time and we had good directions. The only issue we had with the tour was the number of people in his vehicle. It was a midsize SUV. 3 people will fit comfortably (each with a window). We had 4! One person had to go to the 3rd row. Difficult get in and out. You couldn’t really see. Nav was a good guide. Very knowledgeable and had good food recommendations. I would recommend this tour for 2-3 people but not more. Very enjoyable.

We booked this tour thinking it would be a small group but were lucky enough to have a phenomenal guide for just the two of . Dal our guide was extremely knowledgeable, very personable and just great fun to spend a few hours with. He took us in a comfortable spacious private vehicle to the Citadel, Peggy’s Cove, Fairlawn Cemetery, and we ended at the Maritime Museum. He narrated the entire journey, giving us great anecdotes, useful local information and a completely personalized tour. We loved every minute and couldn’t recommend him more highly.

Very easy pick up and drop off at the cruise terminal! Wonderful information provided along the way there and back. Very comfortable and clean SUV! Couldn’t have been better!

Nice 4 hour excursion - spent 1.5 hours at Peggy’s Cove - just enough time for pictures and some great fish chowder. Rava was a great driver/guide - highlighting the history of the city as well as points of interest.

Rava our guide was the best. Waited 15 minutes as our ship was late getting in and even helped some friends of ours get rebooked on a tour they missed earlier on the day. Tour was great for the money / just what we wanted!

Fantastic tour. Had about 2 hours to explore Peggy's Cove. Lighthouse was beautiful, shops we're fun, and the lobster rolls were delicious (but super expensive).

Dal was fantastic! Picked up from my hotel for the start time. Went through all aspects of the tour as described and they had lots of knowledge and information related to every destination as well as additional information along the drive. Dal was fantastic and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Our guide did a great job. He was on time, stopped for some great pictures of Fall foliage and provided interesting and useful information about the area. We were in a vehicle with two other people. Peggy's Cove is a bit touristy, but is a pretty coastline with a nice lighthouse. A nice memory from Nova Scotia.

…and he does! Jay was excellent! He was very knowledgeable and shared history facts with us. He was also very accommodating to our requests and made sure our trip was exactly what we wanted.

Very simple pick up at our port. Ended up just being my wife and myself. Iqbal was a great tour guide. I am very glad we made the fairly long ride out there. We'll worth it

Our driver Rana was professional, friendly--and interesting! He was efficient in getting us to Peggy's Cove, while filling us in with informative narratives and facts that answered questions we had been asking each other before the trip. He delivered us in a timely manner and, after giving us excellent suggestions for our time there, left, only to return exactly when he said he would.

We had a wonderful tour with Jay. He was knowledgeable, interesting and fun. The SUV was very comfortable with 5 travelers. Peggy's Cove was beautiful even with 21+ mph winds. Enjoyed the little shops and lunch. Would definitely book with Viator and Jay again! Thank you

Our driver/guide was very knowledgeable as well as helpful and friendly. We had 2 hours to explore on our own which was perfect. Peggy’s Cove is a beautiful place. Gorgeous views with the addition of some lovely shops to browse.

Our guide was Iqbal. He was wonderful! Greeted us (and another couple) with a smile and handshake. Explained how the tour would work and he would talk as we were driving to Peggy’s Cove ( about 45 minute drive). Car was clean and comfortable and he provided bottled water. Interesting information about the area and Halifax. Arrived and he said to meet back in 90 minutes. Plenty of time to explore. We asked if he was able to show us the Titanic Cemetary and he obliged and even gave us a talk about it! Arrived back at start point around 4pm. Super nice man and great guide!

I didn't have much time in Halifax but wanted to experience Peggy's Cove and found this trip on Viator. Everything from booking online to the end of the experience went well. Nav, our guide, was very communicative and pre-messaged the prior night and confirmed when he was going to pick-up at the hotel and provided light suggestions around bringing additional outerwear, which was appreciated. The next morning was an update confirming pick-up and we were picked up on time. Nav was great at communicating with the group and was very knowledgeable about Nova Scotia's history. The two hours at Peggy's Cove were perfect and I'm glad I chose the early start because it was just the handful of people before the coach busses came and unloaded their guests. Two hours was perfect for us and the pick-up to return to Halifax was on-time. Overall, I had a great experience!

Excellent trip with our driver Jay to Peggy's Cove. Great knowledge of the local area, and of course PC was lovely on a Sunday Autumn day.

Jay was an amazing tour guide! Friendly and took great care of us. Nice small group and enough time to see all of the sights and have the best lobster rolls at Jay’s recommendation. Jay had so much history and information to share on the drive, making it much more than just a ride out to Peggys cove.

Iqbal, our tour guide, provided us with excellent information along the way to Peggy’s cove from the cruise terminal. He contacted us the night before our tour to solidify pickup location and time. He met us at the predetermined location on time. Very satisfied.

Dal was my guide for this tour. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I felt like I learned a lot of interesting information. Pick up and drop off right at my hotel was so convenient and appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great tour with Jay. He was knowledgeable about Halifax, Nova Scotia and Peggy’s Cove and explained a lot of history to us. He was prompt for pick up and drop off and was very kind and an excellent driver. We loved that we had a full two hours at Peggy’s cove to do what we wanted to do. Very interesting and informative tour. Weather was somewhat ok. A bit windy. Tour guide was great. Very helpful.

The tour was awful. Peggy’s cove tour through viator was a waste of money. Our tour operator was not informative and left us for two hours up on the cove in very cold conditions and when I tried to reach out via message he did not reply. He was late to pick us up and we were afraid we would be left behind and got a ride with another tour operator who provided so much more information about Halifax. I really hated the tour

Jay was such a wonderful tour guide! Extremely knowledgeable and truly cared about our comfort and experience. I would highly recommend him as a tour guide. He shared a lot of history with us, but also some folk tales. We had a lot of fun and would absolutely rate this 5 stars!

Our guide Ersch was very nice, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. We enjoyed the ride out to the cove and had plenty of time for pictures etc. Couldn’t have been better!

Pickup and drop off went smoothly. Arsh gave us a brief history and introduction of Nova Scotia, Sydney and the surrounding area. We had plenty of time to explore Peggy’s Cove. Would recommend!
