I really enjoyed the walk. The app was easy to use and I saw areas in the city off the beaten track but well worth visiting.

Very interesting concept. Took us a stop or two to realize as we went forward the narrative followed. Once we got the hang of the process, it was good, great concept and interesting tour.
Unfortunately we couldn’t get the program to work. We have used other GPS-based podcasts without problem, so I have no idea what we did wrong.
It was an okay tour. We had no maps to be able to follow each location. I would have preferred going on guided tour.
The tour narrative is informative, entertaining, and just the right length at each stop. We experienced a glitch or two with the app, but our overall experience with the app was good. The tour took us close to three hours to complete (interest in the tour content combined with slow walkers!). I would definitely recommend and would take additional tours offered by this creator/operator.
What a great way to leisurely see points of interest and learn things at one’s own pace. There was free street parking near the starting point. The “guide” provided interesting facts along the way, and we saw some things that we would have missed otherwise. The Public Gardens are phenomenal. P.S. We are boomers and found the audio your tour to be very user friendly to download, set up, and use.
The auto-launching feature didn’t work for me. Other than that, this was a good tour. I was able to go at my own pace, and even take a break to stop into a shop or two.
It was nice to hear the details and the narrator was pleasant, however I felt it was short and awkward in-between trying to find the next location. If it was talking as you were walking with turn by turn directions that would make this awesome! The map GPS was not hard to use just prefer to have turn by turn directions.
We chose this option over an expensive cruise sponsored excursion. The audio works very well, the auto start is a nice feature. The walk is lovely. It can be demanding if you’re physically challenged. Uphill and some uneven walking paths. Be advised. Great tour and would recommend!
Good to do tour at your own pace and in the order it suited us. Great background information on history/ migration etc which gave a complete understanding of Halifax
My Mom and I were visiting Halifax and wanted to do a self guided walking tour. I somehow found Tripvia Tours and purchased the Halifax Churches, Gardens and Graveyards tour. We really enjoyed it. The narration was great and the tutorial was very helpful for learning how to use the app.
This self paced audio walking tour was great. The tour covers many areas in Halifax and because we were in control of the pace had plenty of time to investigate further the locations. The map easily brought us to the tour locations and with the GPS link it was great as you arrive at the spot the audio narrative begins. Allowed us to also take a break when we needed. Loved this tour very much worth it!
This audio walking tour was fantastic! It gave us time to stop and enjoy the locations, explore, and go at our own pace. It was interesting and informative. This was the second time I used this tour and I learned more on this excursion as the first time I did it was in the winter. It is definitely worth the time!
Most things in Halifax were closed for winter by the time I went there in November. This was a very interesting tour. Glad I discovered this app, and I plan on using it in some other cities where there aren’t organized tours.
Excellent guide, knowledgeable and entertaining. The app was easy to use and it was simple to navigate with the map.
When we arrived at a site because the narration started — or we might have missed it. Guide explained more than the travel books.
This was a very informative tour, the history of Halifax and the notable events are well depicted in the narrative. I had a little trouble stopping and skipping the order because I didn't go in exact order of the tour, but otherwise it was very good
Really nice way to hear about highlights at your own pace. Nice to have map as well as written version of what is being said.
We learned a lot about Halifax and saw places we would not have seen unless we took the tour. The Common Gardens was the highlight of the tour. It is beautiful.
I liked the audio guide overall, good information and it’s a great way to visit the city. My only complain is that the app would often crash and I needed to reopen it all the time, very annoying!
I liked the app in general and how it would start playing as u approached the point on the tour. However, the tour points were not that interesting. Instead just walk to the public gardens and Citadel since those were the most interesting parts.
The app was easy to use, and I loved the narrator’s voice. The entire tour was very informative, and I loved seeing Halifax in a new light.
Great app and easy to use! That said, you need to be somewhat technically inclined to get the audio tour going and coordinate with the map if you aren't used to the technology. A great way to see Halifax and get some history. As my first time in Halifax, I realized that the Titanic graveyard is further out of town and is not part of this tour.
This tour is terrific! It was easy to download, easy to use, gave the written as well as the audio information. I’ve never done a self guided tour like this before but I highly recommend it! Lyn Canada
It is an interesting technique to give a self guided tour. The mapping technology is a bit buggy, but not insurmountable. The tour is interesting, but I found some of the stops really uninteresting. “The oldest outdoor park in Canada.” Okay, kind of cool, but it just looked like a park. :) Fun, if you have the time.
Nice but there's no smooth transition between the destinations. You have to have your phone open all the time.
It took a little time to figure out the navigation. The information was interesting. My traveling partner was unexpectedly unable to go on the tour, but enjoyed listening to the commentary afterwards.
Great walking tour of Halifax, especially if you like history. The narration was informative and entertaining and it was nice to go at your own pace without a crowd.
This tour was easy to use and navigate. The information was fantastic and very informative. I loved that I could go at my own pace and spend extra time when I wanted to, no worries about a group leaving without me.
The audio commentary was not only very informative but fun and very interesting. I love how you do not have to use up your phones data by downloading the interactive tour which was super easy to navigate. The tour itself brought me to so many beautiful and historic places I didn't know existed.
Great to see and to know about the times back then. Great to listen too ahead of the excursion to the Tetanic. People buried there!
Enjoyed learning more about the amazing history of Halifax! Seeing the sights and finding more out about the people and events that shaped Halifax was wonderful. We enjoyed the leisurely pace we could explore the city with the audio walking tour app.
