The app was easy to navigate and great! I was only able to do 2/3 tours but then later in the day, I would pass a landmark and the app automatically would start telling me about the history! Made my time much more enjoyable and made me appreciate Halifax even more!

Reviews
The tours were informative, well designed, and good paced. More links to places we stop at would be good. I'm glad they worked out of order as I did the reverse for the waterfront tour.
This walking tour was interesting and thorough. It was a great way to tour the city independently while also listening to an expert. I highly recommend this pleasant experience.
The instructions about how to download and install the app were very easy to follow. I liked that the first “stop” on the tour explained how t navigate in the app. The information was very interesting, and felt it was good value for the price. Also, it’s nice if you want to stop partway through to explore more, or have a break, you can do that and start again easily. I would purchase these again from any city that I was visiting!
It was very easy to download and follow the tour. A lot of interesting facts and sights to see. An excellent way to get the highlights of Halifax.
The tours were great, downloading was easy, and my favorite feature was that I could complete the tours when it was convenient for me.
Good value for having 3 walking tours. Seaside and churches tour are very interesting and showing the most beautiful parts of Halifax. The Halifax explosion tour is very informative, but less to see at the places. The maps showed clearly the next stops, unfortunately not every tour gave the oral explanation to go to the next stop. One aspect I didn't like was the fact that my app shot itself down after 2 minutes. So many times after listening to the information I had to login, search the tour again before I could go on with the tours.
I could not get the app loaded on my phone despite several attempts. Much time was spent online back-and-forth trying to get the program loaded.
A wonderful way to see the city in my own time, between my business meetings, and at my own pace! The 3-tour option for visiting locations in Halifax was perfect. When I kept the app on, I was occasionally surprised to have a description of a nearby tour spot start as I unknowingly got near to it! The descriptions are engaging and interesting, sometimes using character voices! Thoroughly enjoyable and nice to have route options to see the city rather than just wandering.
We only managed to do the 2 tours of downtown due to illness of one of us. Instuctions were straightforward. We did part of one tour then, as it was convenient, switched to the next one (although we were doing the 2nd one backwards) and at the end of the 2nd one it was convenient to switch pack to the first one. Commentary started immediately when in the vacinity - (unless you are doing the tour backwards!) Overall excellent value, interesting and informative.
Overall the app worked well. Informative and easy to use. We liked the selections available. Often did not automatically start at each stop but that was a minor issue
The only thing that would make this better is having a live guide! The app kicks in when your GPS is enabled; just as you approach the location. It is informative, and the historical pictures are helpful. More would be even better!
We did the 3 Halifax tours. They were easy to follow and had great commentary and information! Very Important - Make sure to follow the directions for downloading the app and tours (while on fast wifi) and then practice using the tutorials first before you embark. (This was very helpful). We used one iPhone for 2 of us and were able to play the sound most of the time without disturbing others. We did have headphones with is in case there were too many people around.
Nice small group. Experiencing Peggy’s Cove was fantastic. The small group experience allowed for good discussion.
I always enjoy the walking tours offered through Viator. The tour was easy to follow and gave me so much information.
We really enjoyed being able to take our time and even split parts of the tours into different days. Very informative and also entertaining.
Awesome app. Even with airplane mode on the gps let’s you know when you are at a stop. Beware the city is very hilly. Loved hearing about all the stops and being able to do the toile at your own pace. Highly recommended.
This was the worst experience ever trying to navigate how to use the tour on our phone. It was cumbersome, frustrate and ultimately useless. I’m calling now that I’m back in the US to request a full refund.
