Muir, Autograph Collection

Beautiful rooms, outstanding service. A resort hotel basically. Loved the organic marine-styling architecture and aesthetic/design done with lots of local artisans and local craftsmen. Lots of wood, stone and other organic materials integrated into the design. Lots of curved lines. Really loved the (free but you have to book it) salt room in the spa, as well as the (no need to book it) eucalyptus steam room and the infrared sauna. There's a cold plunge for those who like that sort of thing. I would have preferred a hot tub myself. The pool is a bit small but it is good to do the hot/cold spa cycle. There's also a secret speakeasy on the premises. Great location right on the boardwalk. Felt completely pampered during our stay. You are welcomed with shortbread cookies and herbal tea in the room. The bathroom uses Aesop products, etc. There is also a small private art gallery on site. Definitely worth treating yourself!

Fantastic stay at the Muir Hotel Halifax! The rooms are gorgeous, the staff is exceptionally helpful, and the complimentary car service is a huge plus. Great overall experience! Minor flaws: ill-fitted curtains and poor signage on the one-way street. If you can afford it, it's worth it.

The Muir hotel is incredible, i have stayed twice and will continue to book when visiting Halifax. The staff is incredible, I want to take a moment to shout out Ron, such a kind soul! Made my husband and I feel so welcomed and had such lovely energy! The rooms are lovely, beautifully decorated, great shower! The Aesop soaps and shampoos are a great touch. Book time in the salt room at the pool!

The hotel and spa were excellent! A special shoutout to Yeju, Ron, and Bhavuk at the spa reception, who were absolutely fantastic. They were so kind, hospitable, and welcoming, and their wonderful energy made our engagement celebration feel even more special. The thoughtful delivery to our room was such a lovely touch and truly made us feel celebrated. The entire spa experience was amazing. We loved the salt room, steam room, pool, cold plunge, and sauna, and the staff made everything feel relaxing, warm, and memorable. We are so happy with our experience and will absolutely return!
