Very much enjoyed a birthday present with friends on a food tour of Durham yesterday with Julie as our host. It far exceeded my expectations . Venues were all of the highest quality . Julie was informative and professional. One of my friends has already been on a different Triple A tour and as a result it did come recommended. I will definitely be recommending this to others too.

Really great tour would advise anyone to go good food and very knowledgeable tour guide (Julie)
What a thoroughly wonderful afternoon exploring Durham with Triple A Food Tours! The food was exceptional, the wines were fabulous and each stop offered something a little different. It was a lovely way to discover some of Durham’s independent gems and, in terms of value for money, genuinely excellent. But what really made the afternoon special was Julie. Warm, thoughtful, knowledgeable and wonderfully engaging, Julie has that rare ability to make everyone feel as though they’re spending the afternoon with an old friend rather than being taken on an organised tour. Her enthusiasm was infectious, her knowledge fascinating and her attention to the little details made all the difference. Even when a minor hiccup threatened to interrupt proceedings, Julie was completely unflappable, handling everything with good humour and effortless professionalism. You can organise a good food and wine tour with excellent venues, but it’s the person bringing it all together who turns a good experience into a memorable one. Julie did precisely that. We came away having eaten beautifully, enjoyed some terrific wines, learned a thing or two and laughed an awful lot. An absolutely brilliant experience and one we’d recommend without hesitation. Thank you, Julie, for making an already lovely afternoon something rather special!
An amazing day and such a good variety of wines and amazing food, definitely make sure to turn up hungry! There was just our group of 4 on the tour and Julie was a great guide and made it even better
Absolutely brilliant Sharon was the perfect host. My second experience!
A great tour with Julie as our guide, only 4 of us on the tour so we had almost undivided attention. Visited 4 places with wine tasting at the Market (very informative about the wine available) not normally found in supermarkets. Then we went for starters including oysters and olives together with a glass of wine. Onto our main course a selection of Chinese tapas which were delicious together with another glass of wine. Finally we went for dessert a small unusual cheesecake and a delicious chocolate dish with guess what, another glass of wine. A great afternoon with Julie guiding us and giving us a lot of information about the history of the place. Would recommend this tour wholeheartedly for anyone who enjoys food and history of places and events.
We had a brilliant time on this tour with Julie visiting some amazing restaurants. The tour had a great meeting location that was easy to find and the first stop was just meters away. We received a great insight into the history of the market square and the various statues. The first stop at the wine store was a perfect set up for the day, and we had some of the tastiest wine, cheese and crackers. The restaurants were all well placed with a short walk between them that passed some of the main sights in the City. I’d give each restaurant 5 stars, and couldn’t put a particular order for quality, but for personal taste alone I thought the Chinese was unreal. A top top tour with a brilliant guide. I just really wish I’d used the voucher a lot sooner as I didn’t realise how good this would be and would have booked another one a lot sooner.
From the time we met up, Julie, our guide, was warm, friendly and welcoming. Her tour was informative and I learnt lots about Durham despite having been many times before! The foody bits....yum! At each stop we were treated to delicious samples of the menu, drinks and excellent customer service. Julie was excellent and would highly recommend her as a guide. Will definitely be recommending AAA Food Tours and booking again. A fantastic afternoon, made even better by the lovely company we had from the others on our tour! Thank you!
A great experience, Julie was a great guide lots of local knowledge and the food stops we visited were all great. A choice of drinks at 4 venues. We had a stop in the market, at the cellar restaurant, the rabbit hole Asian restaurant and huge dessert platter at pattisier quarter. All server lovely food and gave a little presentation of the dishes. We also had great company on our tour which really made it a great afternoon.
We loved the entire experience on the Durham Food Tour. Our guide Julie was great, knowledgeable and good fun. Cheese and dessert wine, oysters, wine, small plates, Asian fusion and desserts. Absolutely delicious.
We’ve just done Triple A Tour number seven in Durham today. Our guide Sharon was excellent, with her lovely, bright personality, giving us bits of history that were certainly new to us. The food and wines were superb just as we’ve come to expect from a Triple A Tour and a friendly group helped make it a lovely day. An added bonus was that Amy, the owner, joined us on the tour so we learned a bit about how the company came about. Another wonderful experience from Triple A, thank you.
The Durham Food Tour exceeded our expectations. From the initial meeting with our guide Julie, to the finale of sumptuous desserts, it was a wonderful few hours. Julie was a great guide, very friendly with an impressive local knowledge. We were welcomed warmly in each of the establishments, and the food/drink was excellent, as was the ambience and conversation with staff. A wonderful way to spend a few hours, and real value for money.
Had an amazing time on the tour, Julie was amazing. Very knowledgeable. The food was amazing, we went to a wine store in the market with an amazing goats cheese snack, had focaccia, olives, oysters and 2 plates in the cellar door. Then we went to the rabbit hole and had 5 of their specials. We had to leave behind food there was so much! Finished in Fiik for desert. Could not recommend enough. Thank you so much Julie!
What a fabulous day! The food and drink great, the locations really well thought out, the history, knowlege and enthusiasm from our guide Julie was awesome. Would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely be booking another one or two!
Amazing food tour at Durham with Julie! This is the second time I’ve done this tour and even though i thoroughly enjoyed the first one I found this one more informative and Julie was a perfect host. Excellent even though we are from Durham we went to different places and learnt interesting snippets re the history of the city. Julie our guide was very organised, knowledgeable and fun. The food and service at each restaurant was excellent with a great variety to sample. The whole tour was well paced and we would recommend it to anyone - local or visitor. Thank you
A massive THANK YOU to Julie, our wonderful guide, and Amy at Triple A Food Tours for making my sister’s hen do such a special experience! From the initial booking process right through to the end of the day, we couldn’t have received a more thoughtful and personalised service. Nothing was too much to ask! Amy was incredibly helpful in making all the best choices with the booking and organising everything to suit my sister and the rest of the hen do party perfectly. On the day, Julie, our tour guide, was such a joy! Great energy, really organised and up for helping us capture some lovely pictures along the way, which was such a nice touch :) All five food and drink stops were delicious and plentiful. We were chuffed with the whole day - and, most importantly, so was my sister! We can certainly recommend Triple A Food Tours if you’re looking for something a bit different, something that caters perfectly to a mixed group of ages and relationships, and an experience that everyone will remember.
What a fabulous afternoon! Our guide, Sharon was very good. Friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. We started with mead and Prosecco in Durham market. From there to Gusto for charcuterie then on to the Cellar Door for oysters, fresh bread and starters. From there to The Rabbit Hole for fabulous Asian food then onto FIIK for delicious deserts. Amazing food and drink and a great group of people on the tour. Would highly recommend!

Another excellent tour...best so far...Sharon was brilliant
We received the Durham food tour with Triple A Tours as a gift. When we picked our date and did the online booking it was a very easy process. The meeting instructions were excellent and on our arrival at Durham Market place our guide Sharon was at the meeting point and clearly identifiable with the company logo on her jacket. We were part of a group of 7, Sharon explained how the tour would work, checked for any allergy requirements and started by giving a brief and interesting history of where we were. The tour itself was fantastic. Excellent venues and the food and drink were high quality. Sharon explained about each venue, its history, the food and what to expect. We were well looked after at each venue it was very relaxed and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We are actively looking at the other tours provided by this company as others in our group had tried them and recommended them. A very well planned and coordinated experience, excellent guide and excellent venues. We would definitely recommend this tour.
Wonderful tour, great balance of local info and supported with great food around the market. This is the second tour I’ve been in Durham being the first . Avril our guide is a absolute star ⭐️
Excellent food (and drink) tour around Durham visiting tapas, fine dining and Cantonese establishments, lead by the lovely Julie. Would highly recommend.
Highly recommend this tour. A taste of culture and history with walking and sightseeing combined with amazing food and lots of great drinks. We got to visit many restaurants we would not have ever stumbled upon and thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. Thank you to Julie who was fabulous.

We were given a voucher for Christmas to take part in a guided tour of Durham explaining the history of the city and sampling food in some of the best restaurants. I have to say we were not disappointed! We were a party of 4 shown the sights by our guide Julie. She is extremely knowledgeable and well informed. Some of the historical facts of the city were new to us and we are natives of Durham. All the food and drink at various establishments was first class and would highly recommend this tour.
A great day out that we would recommend. Our guide was Julie and she was great! Very warm, friendly and informative and shared with us an excellent knowledge of Durham and some of its History. All food and drinks venues were welcoming and food was amazing paired with a selection of drinks. Love how it was a range of cuisines and things we would never usually try for a bit of variety. Don’t want to give too much away but it was a lot of fun! Great idea for a gift or to enjoy with friends and family for a different day out.

Each stop brought something unique to the tour showcasing brilliant service, amazing food and and a perfect opportunity to meet new people. The food stops were fabulous, offering different food options which allows people who aren’t familiar with different cuisines to try them out. Market hall wines, great stop with such a varied selection of wines, spirits and beers! Of course I had to take a gin home! Gussto, beautiful vibes, lovely food and wine! The Cellar door! It was giving Bridgeton with the beautiful sound track and stunning location! The food was immaculate lots of mini dishes to try. The Rabbit hole, this place was stunning, the food, the atmosphere and the drinks! Would definitely return again! Firm favourite with the group! Last but not least Fink. we went here for dessert.
