We had a good two night stay. Food was great, staff welcoming. The hotel is quite old so don't expect luxury. Overall a good experience and allowed us to visit nearby center parcs on a day visit.

A quaint hotel in the middle of the home of Robin Hood. The pub was good though they automatically added a service charge (tip) of 10%. We would have tipped anyway but felt a but offended that we weren’t allowed to chose the amount ourselves. It is a very old building but the rooms were modern and the shower wonderful. Fans were provided as it was very warm and that cooled the room off nicely. The breakfast was also good.

The property had such a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived. We stayed here for our wedding accommodation as we were getting married close by, and had booked out the hotel for the majority of our guests. The team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly and that we felt completely at ease throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and their kindness and professionalism made the experience even more special. The bottle of bubbly that was lett in our room for our return with a hand written note, was a lovely touch. A special mention has to go to Zoro, the lovely dog who greeted everyone on arrival and quickly became a favourite with our guests! Thankyou so so much again 🤍✨

Stopped for one night on Friday 12th June. Room was great, quiet despite overlooking the road and both the evening meal and breakfast were excellent. All the staff we spoke to were lovely and friendly. Will certainly go back again in the future

I would have gone to 5 but the coffee wasn’t good & I need my starter in the morning! But everything else: room (very comfy bed), good temperature, food is superb, breakfast hearty & well cooked (coffee aargh), chef friendly, bar & waiting staff great!! Dog wonderful. Good parking, great atmosphere. We will return cause Sherwood is lovely & we stayed here for Creswell Crags as well - another great day out!
