Had a recent stay here for a local wedding. What a lovely find. The room was spotless and well equipped with air conditioning which was very welcome. Lovely breakfast included with plenty of choice.

Great place to stay , our room was very clean and had everything you would want , all the staff were very friendly and helpful . Would definitely stay here again
Slightly overall disappointing first stay. During the heatwave, so we did really appreciate the thoughtfulness of the curtains and blinds being left shut and a fan being put into the room, as no air conditioning (Room 11) and room faced the sun, however, the bed still had a 10.5 tog duvet on it, a thinner summer duvet would have been helpful, although swiftly solved with pulling the duvet out of the cover and sleeping just under the cover. I will add the bedding, pillows and duvet that surprisingly was very heavy, was all very high quality (the duvet was zipped into a protective cover also inside the duvet cover), bed was amazingly comfy. Frustratingly the water in the toilet ran all night, the handle was permanently at the bottom and you had to move it up to flush but no amount of repositioning the handle stopped it, it seemed to get louder when someone else (maybe the room next door feeds into the same pipe work as our room, as we heard the toilet increase in noise every time water was run elsewhere it seemed. Toilet seat was an adventure, as very loose, I can only assume it was loosened by guests sitting somewhat sideways on it, as if you rose from the loo directly forward (as one would expect to), it was very easy to crack your head right on the corner of the mantle on the fireplace. A bit of a design flaw! There was a fire door directly outside our room, that the door closer on the top obviously wasn’t working on, so we were awoken with a big bang three times in the middle of the night by late night guests arriving back. On getting up before breakfast time Sunday morning, it appeared the outside door (the one with the code to open it) had wedged itself open on the strip at the bottom and possibly had been left open all night (as no one else was around), not great for security or guest safety. On a plus, the breakfasts were very nice and the staff were all lovely. The hotel is positioned in a beautiful village, an absolute delight for a Sunday morning stroll before breakfast. I’d love to say it was a five star stay but it just wasn’t. We may try again, as the location was good.
Fantastic service and lovely clean and well kept rooms. The accessable room is highly recommended with plenty of space and roll in shower however only a shower stool. Staff are very helpful and the food in the pub is 5 star quality.
15 of the family booked for an evening meal and overnight stay last weekend to celebrate a birthday. 4 of us had previously been for lunch and were impressed by the food and service. We were made very welcome and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The evening meal was wonderful, on time, hot, looked delicious and tasted even better. The bedrooms were really nice. Clean, comfortable with modern bathrooms. One member commented it was the cleanest hotel room she had ever stayed in any I must agree, they were spotless. Breakfast was also very very good. Plenty of choice, food hot and tasty, plenty of toast, tea and coffees. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time there, will definitely recommend it to friends and we will definitely be booking again.
