Great overall experience! The bus stops right in front of the hotel, and the hotel is otherwise perfectly located in a quaint village with good access to nearby cliffs and hiking trails. The service and food has been one of the best in England. Would recommend & come back.
Fab hotel rooms and garden. Perfectly placed for outings to coast. Free parking or bus stops outside. Service was great attentive and friendly. Owner friendly and helpful. Restaurant menu varied with good quality food and drink. Fridge a bonus.
We visit Whitby every year and always go to Saltburn for the day. On the way back to Whitby, we always go to the Ellerby for food and drinks. We've always loved this. Fantastic pub, beautiful with an amazing garden. The Staff are brilliant! Very friendly and professional. The food is on another level. Delicious and beautifully presented. Couldn't recommend the Ellerby any more.
I've just got back from a 2 night stay at Ellerby Residential Country Inn. I give it a solid 10/10. I am a support worker and I took a lady who has MND. We stayed in an accessible room which was perfect for her needs. Especially the bathroom. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Beds comfy. The pictures I have shared is after our stay so the untidyness is our dong. Lovey accessible garden at the pack of the property. Plenty of parking.
We we're staying nearby and booked dinner on Sunday as a party of 10. Between us we ordered Sunday lunch as well as items from the standard menu. Service was great and the food was both delicious and plentiful - we were stuffed! We would 100% recommend eating at The Ellerby.
