Quieter than I would have expected on a Bank Holiday , skeleton staff so service on arrival was slow but both staff members seemed flat out so not a problem. Chose the Sunday roast - huge portions and very tasty. Would definitely recommend and visit again if in the area.
What a fabulous little place. We stayed the night and had dinner. The inn itself is lovely on approachin on this sunny day, with people relaxing in the beer garden. The bedroom we were allocated was a delightful room — really big. It had a sofa that can be used as a bed to make up a family room, plus a little seating area with comfy chairs and a coffee table. There was a king-size bed, and a really well equipped hospitality tray, plus great little bottles of stuff in the bathroom. It was lovely and peaceful. Great respect to the staff on duty Ruby, the manager and Leo and Ruby on dinner service. They were so friendly and helpful and Leo again and breakfast service. The food was delicious and really great value. Thank you to restaurant staff, bar staff, kitchen staff, and massive thanks to housekeeping. You're doing a really great job.
Stayed for one night, attended a wedding near by so we weren't in the room much at all during the day and got back quiet late. Very quiet through the night and morning which was nice. Comfortable beds and a good sized room. Tea and coffee provided with a kettle. Bathroom and shower was a good size. Really nice decor in the bedroom too. Staff were helpful and pleasant to interact with.
We just couldn’t fault this beautiful place at all. Accidentally came across this little gem a while back and just had food which was delicious. We said then we would visit again and stay over. Staff friendly, attentive Beautiful, clean homely pub Food perfect and delicious. Breakfast especially outstanding. Coffee & tea brought to our table almost immediately, followed by toast. Then a tasty, hot freshly cooked breakfast Fantastic value for money Rooms just as the pictures on the site. Clean spacious with very comfy bed We will be visiting again soon Highly recommend
Stayed for a weekend. Food was excellent, really tasty and a great price. We got a good deal booking direct for bed breakfast and evening meal. The room itself was cosy with plenty of room but the bathroom needed some tlc and we had a huge cobweb accross window. It has hot drink making facilities which we liked and places to hang your coats. The pub was really nice, it has a bar area with a log burner and a seperate restaurant with a fire. The location was great for us as it was only a short trip away and you can reach some local attractions by car if you want a run out. All in all we had a lovely weekend, thank you 😊
