We stopped at Greenbank Farmhouse on our way up to Scotland last month as it was beautiful and rural, but not far off the M6. We would recommend it and would stay again! It was so delightful and peaceful, we wish we could have stayed more than one night! We really appreciated our hosts' hospitality, the delicious breakfast, the spotless rooms and ensuite bathroom and the lovely countryside location. The view from our room was so pretty and we also loved the character of the stone farmhouse and expanse of glass to look out from at breakfast. You can get the best rates by phoning them to reserve. An absolute gem in the heart of the countryside not too far from Lancaster.One of the best B&B we have ever stayed in.All the little touches made this an enjoyable stay.Sally and Simon are the most hospitable hosts and so friendly. The room was perfect with lovely views out to the countryside.
Breakfast was excellent and it was brilliant watching the wildlife.

If you are super fortunate and stumble across this little gem you really will not be disappointed. From the moment we arrived we LOVED everything. Our room was stunning with the feeling that no one had ever used it. From wonderful linen, beautiful toiletries, amazing views, an amazing welcome pack that gives you the history of the farmhouse and really showed just how proud the owners are. Breakfast was again a hearty farmhouse breakfast with home made bread and preserves with views to die for. Simon and Sally are lovely people and we even brought 3 lovely cushions that Sally makes me sells for a charity close to her heart. We just didn’t want to leave. PLEASE don’t pass this by as you will have missed a treasure.

Only minus ,if you can call it a minus is that you do need a car ,there is no public transport unless like us you have family close by. Highly recommend .
Absolutely delightful stay at Green Bank Farmhouse! From the moment we arrived on Friday until we left on Monday, Simon and Sally, the charming owners, made our stay exceptionally memorable. Their warm hospitality was evident as they prepared delicious breakfasts each morning, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
The farmhouse itself is a gem - immaculate, clean, and modern, providing a serene and peaceful retreat. The view from our window was simply breath-taking, overlooking the beautiful farmland and majestic mountains. It truly felt like a slice of paradise.
Our stay was perfectly timed for a visit to Lancaster University to see our daughter, and the location couldn't have been more convenient. Being from Singapore and living in the UK, I've experienced various accommodations, but Green Bank Farmhouse stands out as the best farm stay I've had in the UK. My husband, originally from the UK, also agrees it's a top-notch choice.
