What a wonderful team. Enjoyed a Birthday party for my Dads 90th. 20 of us. Service and food outstanding. Made to feel very special and comfortable. Thank you all so much.

What a great find! This is how village pubs should be. A large but cosy bar with local beers, busy with locals even midweek. The restaurant was superb, food was excellent quality and beautifully presented. All the staff were warm and welcoming. We stayed over in the carpark in our campervan. Park at the bottom end by the quoits pitches, it's level and there is a limited number of electric hookups. We'll definitely come back!

Booked via their own website for a specific room, given a different room. The receptionist did offer us a free breakfast for the mistake and said she would have to email head office later. Room very small and very worn. Bathroom had a bad damp smell which was noticeable in the bedroom. Room was at the top of a steep flight of stairs, ok for us but not if you are less mobile. Bed terribly uncomfortable. Restaurant was ok. Nothing special. Quite a few items off the menu. The food was ok. Expensive for what it was. We would not return.

Came with family for a lunch, my mum asked the lady on reception if they had any vegan options (I have a dairy intolerance so tend to just go for vegan options when out), the woman on reception showed us the menu and pointed to a risotto with feta in.. As we were led to our table we could hear the staff at reception loudly hissing and going NO VEGANS followed by more hissing etc. Incredibly unprofessional and made me feel really uncomfortable in the space and having a meal. It’s 2026 not 1926, people have different dietary requirements - no matter your opinion you should keep this to yourself. Food for everyone aside from myself was fine, the vegan option was pretty basic but edible. The waitress was perfectly nice but the whole experience was tarred by the staff on reception.
