Wow. If you love castles and it's original decor than you need to stay here. It's absolutely perfect. Our room has a four poster bed and a massive bathroom. It has little off room turrets where they would of originally fired their bows and arrows!! It's amazing. Like being on a movie set!!
Absolute highlight of my trip so far! What a beautiful spot, perfect for exploring the countryside. Wendy and her team made me feel incredibly welcome and my room could not have been more comfortable. The food was delicious and the whole experience quite magical. Can't wait to go back.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Megs cocktails were especially good. The rooms were comfortable and the hotel had a great charm about it. Would recommend to anyone we had a great stay
I only stayed here for one night and loved the place. It's full of charm and has a real authentic feel about it. The grounds are well maintained and there is plenty of outside seating where you can sit and hear only the sounds of the countryside. The staff are brilliant and very helpful and friendly and there's also some complimentary sherry provided in a decanter in the rooms. I'd definitely stay again.
Just wrapping up a phenomenal long weekend with 25 family members to celebrate a birthday, had the most enjoyable time! While it was great to be together with family, the location really made it perfect. Augill Castle is a comfortable home that became ours from the moment we arrived through the end. It's a beautiful English Country Castle that has been restored to a level of quality that is amazing. The shared spaces and the private spaces are equally as impressive. We loved having the ability to be in the drawing room, the entry hall, the dining room, the library, the conservatory or the living room. Each of those places had charm and uniqueness. All were full of comfort and warmness that allowed you to be at home. I stayed in the Gatehouse specifically and found it private, spacious and filled with everything I needed. Highly recommend this charming place. The location is superb and loads of things close by for venturing out.
