This was, without a doubt, one of the most memorable excursions we have ever taken. From beginning to end, it was incredibly well organized, informative, and deeply moving. Visiting Sainte-Mère-Église, Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the Normandy American Cemetery gave us the opportunity to experience so many important pieces of D-Day history firsthand. Seeing these places in person is something you simply cannot understand from reading a book or watching a documentary. Our guide did an outstanding job bringing the history to life. The stories of the brave men and women who were there made every stop feel personal and meaningful. Standing on the beaches and cliffs where so much courage and sacrifice took place was incredibly humbling. The Normandy American Cemetery was especially emotional. Seeing row after row of perfectly maintained graves and realizing the enormous sacrifice represented there is something we will never forget. The excursion was paced very well, and we appreciated that we were able to see so many significant locations in one day without feeling rushed. The combination of history, storytelling, and actually standing in these places made this experience truly unforgettable. If you have the opportunity to take this excursion, DO IT! It was so much more than sightseeing—it was an experience that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

The entire day was wonderful! Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. So much information!
This was a really pleasant way to experience the Normandy sights. Our tour guide Boy was very knowledgeable and accommodating to tailor the experience exactly how we wished it to be.
This was one of the best tours we ever took. Our guide was Boy and he was SO knowledgeable! He showed us all around and explained everything. He had personal stories that he shared with many of the veterans. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting here for a more personalized tour.
Wonderful, knowledgeable, caring, guide…. Even visited private home with German war time paintings recently found and restored on the walls.
Such a wonderful tour! Boy was an excellent guide and so knowledgeable. We learned so much - including many stories we had never heard about before. Boy took extra care to make sure we had an excellent tour and he did not disappoint! Highly highly recommend.
This tour was beyond expectations. From the prompt pick up time to the comfort and cleanliness of the vehicle. The guide was incredibly passionate, knowledgeable and informative. Nothing was too much trouble, he adapted and catered the tour to suit our needs. It really was the highlight of our holiday. Highly recommended.
Best tour we’ve been on. Guide always very knowledgeable and treated us well. Would do another tour Neptune Battle Tours when I come back.
It was an awesome experience. Boy was informative and went way above our expectations. His knowledge of Normandy and the surrounding towns was amazing. Would definitely recommend Boy as a guide to Normandy.
Outstanding tour and Boy just went above and beyond going that little bit further and showing you bits that aren't advertised. knowledgeable and interesting tour I would full recommend for anyone in the area. booked this trip while on a cruise ship, Met us promptly and got us back to ship with no issues. thank you for a great day out!
What a wonderful, extremely qualified and knowledgeable D-Day tour guide. Not only did he give an incredible tour which was on our bucket list, but he was patient and kind with us. Opening doors, providing umbrellas and simply just sweet. His knowledge opened all of our eyes and gave us an elevated experience of the most historic day in history. We will be recommending him to all of our close friends and family for sure! Thank you so very much!
Our tour guide Boy was incredible. A perfect combination of professionalism and yet very personable. Boy was very knowledgeable of the history to properly allow our small group to experience Normandy. I would give Boy and Neptune my highest recommendation
This private American D-Day guided tour with Boy Eysbroek was perhaps the most comprehensive and informative tour I have ever been on anywhere in the world! Boy met our party of 5 at Cherbourg cruise terminal, spent the entire day, roomy, comfortable van. Boy was a veritable encyclopedia of relevant and interesting details regarding D-day, the beaches, the landings, the battles, the whole thing. Personable, engaging and attentive, with a great delivery. Our first stop was Ste Mere Eglise and that stop alone made the trip worthwhile. We spent plenty of time there and at each subsequent stop. We knew we had chosen wisely when we were at Ste Mere Eglise and we witnessed a string of tour buses (no doubt from ship) come and go with barely enough time for those folks to even get off and on the bus before it moved on. Had a wonderful lunch at local establishment.
Our cruise ship stopped her in early November and we wanted to see the D-Day memorials but didn't want to book a large bus tour. Are we ever glad we booked this tour! Boy was a great guide and took us places that we could have not gone with a tour bus. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate above the events that lead up to and after the invasion. Probably the best part was taking us to the American Cemetery an hour before closing so that we could see the lowering of the flags and the playing of taps. A fitting way to end an amazing day
Boy is amazing! He is lovely, charming and very knowledgeable. He was flexible in arranging our itinerary and responsive to our requests. I highly recommend him.
Utah beach and American cemetery were amazing. Boy is very knowledgeable and personable. We customized our tour to include Bayeux and small towns of historic significance. A wonderful and informative day. Highly recommend.
This became an outstanding experience. Boy was quickly responsive to emails while we were trying to get a group from our cruise ship established. He was respectful of previous inquiries so as to not book the first person who paid until the first person who inquired was satisfied. He met us at the cruise terminal in Cherbourg as stated and gave us a wonderful tour of the American WWII beaches and sites. While in the van he wore a microphone so those in the 3rd seat could hear his commentary. He speaks 5 (?) languages and his English is perfect and barely accented. He could answer every question we asked. When we saw other tour guides at the sites, it was clear that Boy was well liked and respected by his colleagues. He made a deliberate effort to interact with each of us personally. The time at each site was just right and no shopping stops. Everyone in our group of 8 was very pleased with our choice of tour/tour guide. Definitely we all would highly recommend Boy and Neptune Battle Tours.
Boy was amazing. He picked my wife and I up at Carentan train station to help us get to our next destination. His trip was amazing, he was knowledgeable and had great stories. We had just finished Band of Brothers before coming and he was able to adjust the tour to show us some sites related to that.
A small group of us hired Boy for our tour of the Normandy WWII sights. He met us promptly at the cruise ship terminal in Cherbourg and had us back well in time for the "all aboard." For weeks before, he communicated with us frequently and answered all our questions. Our group of 8 could not find a question that Boy did not know the answer to. His knowledge of D-Day, the events and significance, is encyclopedic. And yet, he never talked too much. I appreciated that whenever we walked around as a group, Boy made a point to approach each of us from time to time to speak to us individually. He encouraged questions. The only issue I had was the stop for lunch. We were herded into a large restaurant that caters to bus tours. While the food was fine, I would have liked to have had options - a couple smaller places were within walking distance. Boy could have pointed out his preferred place, mentioned their popularity with the larger tours, but also then suggested alternatives. We paid a more-than-reasonable fee for this 7-hour tour. Compare that to what the cruise ship charges for a much larger group experience. Don't let the sparsity of reviews deter you from booking Boy. He has been a tour guide for many years, recently starting his own company.
