Our guides were terrific! Igor told many poignantly stories relating to Gold Beach and the Rhys cemetery. Almandine did a fantastic job explaining the German defenses. Both guides were knowledgeable, personable and patiently answered questions. Riding in the jeeps - and the terrific pictures of the day - will be family memories for years to come. As a French tourist from my own country, I can say that our guide has a huge knowledge of all events about WWII and June 6th D-Day. His explainations were very clear and we fully can advise this tour (It was Gold Beach tour).

The knowledge and enthusiasm of our guide Eric was brilliant and from the moment that he pulled up to collect us in the Jeep the kids (13 & 9) knew they were going to have a great afternoon. The noise and feel of the Jeep really added to the experience, as did the old photos that Eric showed us when we were position in exactly the same spot nearly 80 years later. The tour wasn’t rigid and we were asked what we wanted to see so that we could tick off the main things and then we went with Eric’s suggestions to show us some sites that we weren’t aware of. Having the knowledge of Eric was brilliant for the kids and the Jeep made it a special and very memorable day. I would recommend this to those with children the same age as ours or adults without children.

There’s no better way to try to capture a glimpse of what 1940’s Normandy was like than to ride thru the streets and hedgerows of Normandy’s liberated towns in a vintage Jeep Willy. With the overcast and drizzle/rain, it was humbling to imagine what the soldiers endured. Our guide, Eric, was informative and told us poignant historical details as we traveled from one location to another. As a passionate WWII buff, he shared locations that were not the typical D-Day tour locations and were only accessible by the Jeep. If you are looking for something more in-depth and off the beaten path, then this tour is for you.

We had a great time in the company of our guide Vincent who introduced us to the battery of Longues-sur-mer, the port of Arromanches from Tracy while passing through small paths taken at the time by soldiers. In addition, we were lucky enough with the weather, the wind had calmed down and the sun was there, shy, but it was there. This excursion was full of fascinating explanations and anecdotes about the landings. It's very important to use specialized guides because without them we miss out on a lot of things, we hope it will develop even more for you. The Willy's Jeep ride is really to be done, what an impressive and powerful vehicle, it makes the excursion even more unique and authentic. We highly recommend them, especially as they offer plenty of tours and customizable tours. Thanks again to Vincent. To do again during a next stay, without hesitation!

We highly recommend this tour. Using a real Jeep Wylis is off the beaten track and allows you to take unusual paths. Our guide Vincent was very interesting and competent he loves his area and his history and embellishes the story with anecdotes. The reconstruction of the D Day is clear with cards or photos to support his speech. Bravo and thank you.

Beautiful 2-hour jeep excursion from Bayeux with family and 2 children. Discovery of the battery of Longues-sur-mer then the port of Arromanches passing through the paths in the Normandy countryside. A passionate and very friendly guide who brought us a lot of information about this historic episode. We highly recommend!

Excellent, plus the weather was very favorable to us. Our guide explained to us very well the history of this "100-day war", a term I did not know. No secret to him, he knew all about this tragic episode in history. The Jeep ride was very pleasant, we crisscrossed dirt roads lost in the cornfields. Very invigorating ride. The two sites visited impose by their historical weight. The Long Battery is uplifting and has withstood time very well. We feel like we are there and we think of the great suffering that all the fighters of this tragic D-Day have had. In conclusion, perfect visit!
