Our guide Julie was awesome! So knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was indeed 9 hours, but it could have been double that and I still would have wanted more. Plan to stay on and go back to the places you really liked.

Our guide Julie was terrific! She was knowledgeable, fun and personable. Everything was easy , from pick up to lunch ( where she helped us order) to final drop off. Highly recommend this full day D-day tour and guide
We enjoyed the trip overall. One con was when sitting at the back of the van it was very difficult to hear our guide.
We traveled as a family to Normandy because our Dad and Uncle served during the war. None of us had been there before and we had great expectations to experience this together. From the minute Matthew picked us up until the minute he dropped us off he engaged with us and shared so many details about the battles that were fought there. In addition to narrating events he also researched personal information about our Dad and Uncle and really made it a special day. Matthew's passion and interest was very clear and we all agree that it was the highlight of our 17 day trip to France! Would highly recommend him for anyone who can make the trip!
Throughly enjoyed the detail of D-Day and the events leading up to it. Especially enjoyed Pointe du Hoc and the Normandy American cemetery.
The tour was truly amazing. I could not recommend it any more. And our tour guide, Eric (Canadian) was probably the best tour guide we have ever had. He was just great on every level and a key reason we would recommend this tour.
Nice tour, except for the pickup. It started raining, and there is no place to shelter yourself. We were soaked, which shouldn't happen. Tour also had changes from what was described in the site (for example, we did not go to Pointe du Hoc, although it is advertised). Length was a little shorter (probably because of the skip of Pointe du Hoc. Guide had a lot of information to share, and spoke perfect English. Museum at Utah Beach great. Van was comfortable for the 8 people in the party. Place to lunch was great.
Adrian was excellent guide. Good tour. Very comprehensive.
It was wonderful to personally experience the highlights of the American perspective on DDay. Our guide, Julie, was fantastic. She was one of the very best guides I have had in any country. 12/10!
Our full day tour of D-Day Beaches at Normandy, including rail tickets from Paris was outstanding and well organized. Our guide, Aurelie, brought all we were seeing into perspective with historical details, photos and maps of the area. The American cemetery was especially emotional, as was seeing the American and French flags flying side-by-side. This tour is well worth the price. We highly recommend this.
We had a wonderful experience with our guide, Adrian. He is extremely knowledgeable about the D-Day history and speaks excellent English. The tour vehicle was very comfortable for our party of eight adults. We visited St. Mere Eglise, Pointe du Hoc, Utah Beach, Omaha Beach and of course the American Cemetery. I can’t say enough about Adrian’s knowledge of WW2 and the area and people of Normandy. Highly Recommend!!!
We were lucky to get Adrian as our guide! He did a wonderful job. We learned so much and each stop was the perfect amount of t of time. We highly recommend this tour!
Our amazing guide Mathieu was so well informed and kept us engaged all day. We were fascinated by his narrative as we visited the sites. I highly recommend this for, and Mathieu as your guide!
Sobering day spent visiting the D-Day landing beaches, where the very brave Allied troops landed during World War II. Matthew our tour guide provided a great deal of knowledge and insight into this historical moment and was engaging and thoughtful in his sharing of historical facts. A long but very interesting day. The American cemetery was quite sobering as you walk through and understand the sacrifices the fallen made.
Our tour guide was really well prepared and knowledgeable. We had a great time even though it was a long day. We would recommend this tour. It was special. A
This was an amazing day seeing the sights of D-Day and the cemetery. Igor was an incredible host and guide and incredibly knowledgeable about the history. We enjoyed it so much. An emotional day but truly incredible.
It was an amazing experience. Lauren was so knowledgeable that I learned a few things I didn’t know.
Igor was an amazing and informative guide! He was extremely passionate about his job and we could not recommend him or this tour more. If you love history, this is the tour for you!
Very informative, you can feel a presence of importance in our history on the beach. Numbing in many ways.
Very professional guide and a great tour all around. Our guide did a great job. We were in a shuttle bus that was comfortable.
Great Tour and Igor, the guide was very knowledgeable but extremely biased and needs to look again at history and use facts instead of his personal opinions of the brave servicemen and women from all nationalities that took part in the war. It is not correct that he passes his personal biased views onto tourists that will take away with them incorrect information.
Igor was an amazing historian, politician, and lifelong Bayeux resident with a French perspective on what happened. He set the stage for the various sites we visited. He helped us to understand the military goals, challenges and fortunes/misfortunes of the operations. But he also provided a French perspective on how the Allies changed the war, and the Normandy region.
The tour was everything it said it would be - and more! Adrian -our guide - was outstanding. It was a real learning experience. Emotional, Entertaining, Excellent!
Great overview of Omaha and Utah beaches. Plus the American Cemetery and Utah Beach Museum. Our tour guide very knowledgeable not only of the events of D-Day but WW2 in general. He also showed flexibility since an impending windstorm forced tour members to make last minute travel adjustments. He made sure to end the tour and get people to the train station to catch their ride since all trains were cancelled for the following day. Despite this we never felt rushed and he covered D-Day thoroughly.
Igor was a fantastic tour guide and provided a very knowledgeable experience about not only the Second World War, but his native home of Normandie. We highly recommend taking this tour to learn and visually explore the events of the 1940’s.
Emily was so knowledgeable about the WWII sites that we visited. She answered all questions and was very personable and pleasant. We enjoyed her as our guide for the day!
Gold beach tour of d day us sites was terrific
This was an excellent tour of the American DDay sites. If you have only one day I highly recommend it.
This was a very informative tour. We covered a lot of ground, learned a lot, and had a wonderful day.
Axell was a wonderful guide! She covered a lot of information efficiently with good storytelling skills and visual aids. The places visited were well worth it. We did a similar tour three years ago and this one beat that one out by a longshot! Highly recommend the tour and specifically Axell She was great!
We had rain and wind off and on all day making standing outside harder due to Cold and rain. That being said, we had a wonderful tour and driving by Thierry. He was very knowledgeable as well as patient with all of our questions. The use of the folder of pictures really assisted the entire group. It was not just the dates and events, he brought out stories of individuals who were combatants. We drove to lesser known areas and again presented real life examples.
Wonderful experience. Highly recommend this trip! Matthew, our tour guide on October 19th, was very knowledgeable and passionate with the history of World War II. He articulated so many interesting facts in an enjoyable way. He was most accommodating to the group of seven people.
Study up before you come and ask for Matt, he is very knowledgeable and wealth of information. Great guy
Lauren was a terrific driver and guide. We are knowledgeable about D day, but learned some new things. It was a rainy and windy day, but Lauren even found places for us to be out of the elements whenever possible. I was having trouble with my knee, and she was very solicitous, helping me in and out of the van and down a staircase. She took us to a nice place for lunch (sort of a cafeteria with sandwiches, salads, etc). Having just watched the movie The Longest Day, it was fun to see the church in Sainte Mere Eglise where the paratrooper was hanging from the steeple. Lauren told us that they filmed in the town.
Our tour guide was very passionate about the details of D-Day and the surrounding circumstances. She had researched the events for years and continues to do so. She knew commander’s names, individual soldier’s experiences, had pictures of maps, people, places. She was amazing.
The tour was well organized and the tour guide was fantastic. Axelle was engaging and friendly. She explained things well and gave us time to reflect as well as learn.
Our guide was outstanding. He was so knowledgeable and just a pleasure to be with all day. Igor was fantastic
Great tour of the area. Pick up was convenient to our hotel. Guide was very knowledgeable about the area and the events of D Day. Price was reasonable for an all day tour.
Elise was our guide and driver. She did an admirable job managing the group in our van. She has a great background in all things D-Day and knows the area well. She is very personable and completely enhanced our visit to Normandie.
Our guide Matt was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, great story teller. He even found service records for some of my wife’s relatives and sent them to us. Great experience!
We had a terrific day-long tour with Lucas. We appreciated being in a small group of 8, the pacing was very good, and Lucas shared history, stories, and local culture that made the experience so memorable. The Utah Beach museum was excellent and seeing the American cemetery and hearing taps played was very moving. Lucas was an excellent guide - knowledgeable, personable, and funny.
Well worth it covered the 82nd and 101st drops, Rangers, 29th Division landings on Omaha Beach. American Cemetary very moving
Our experience was terrific! The guide was very professional and willing to answer any questions we had.
We did our D=Day tour through the Overlord Tour company. We were is an -8 person van so we had a small group. Pick up point was easy to find in Bayeux and our guide Lucas was early and since our group was complete we were able to leave early. During our drives to sites Lucas was able to give is great insights so we had plenty of time to explore sites on our own. At times Lucas was able to give us extra information he had gather from his grandfather and others who were living at the time. Lucas was a great guide and made our experience very meaningful.
This was a full day tour telling the story of the American troops on D-Day. Our guide, Kate, was fantastic. Highly recommended!!!
Jean was wonderful-very knowledgeable and very polite. All eight of us enjoyed this adventure and would do it all over again especially with Jean.
Luka was a wonderful tour guide I had a great time. I highly recommend him and this tour. It was a wonderful experienc.
Other than a little rain, our tour was excellent as was our guide. The only thing I would have liked to add to the agenda would be walking on each beach.
We had an outstanding experience with Gold Beach Company. Our guide, Kate, was absolutely exceptional. She was incredibly knowledgeable, not only about the Normandy landings but also the broader history of the region, and she shared it in a way that made every stop meaningful and engaging. Kate was flexible throughout the day, tailoring the tour to our interests and answering every question with patience and expertise. She struck the perfect balance between being a professional historian and a warm, friendly guide, making us feel comfortable from the moment she picked us up. We especially appreciated her recommendations for local restaurants, sights, and things to do after the tour, which made the rest of our stay even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a Normandy tour that is informative, personal, and unforgettable, we highly recommend Gold Beach Company—and if you can, request Kate. She truly made our day one we’ll always remember.
Our guide Matthieu was great! He has a vast knowledge of the d'day events that made the tour very enjoyable.
